Not really following it yet but LPL is already in progress and currently, the third match of this league is in progress between Colombo Strikers and Kandy Falcons. I do not like this experiment of 16-17th over fielding restrictions as it will make things more difficult for the bowlers. We do not only want to see the fours and sixes and bowlers having no impact on the game  Sad

And for the Major League Cricket, the matches will be played at Morrisville and Dallas, the focus is to make the USA a hub of cricket too. Since the matches being played at the USA and being a first world country, there is no doubt that in the coming years it will attract the players around the world after the IPL.

This time Major League Cricket will be much more popular and visible in the United States. The hosting of T20 World Cup a few weeks ago was a big boost for the American cricket and there will be much more interest in MLC from now onwards. And a number of superstars are participating this time, including Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Pat Cummins, Wayne Parnell, Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo and Steve Smith. And teams from all over US are being represented, and they are planning an expansion next year.

Anyone following the Lanka Premier League? This time they have introduced a feature called "power blast". It means that during 16th and 17th overs of the innings, only four players will be permitted outside the 30-yard circle. LPL 2024 is scheduled to happen from 1st July to 21st July, but there is an overlap with Major League Cricket in the USA (5th July to 28th July). And without any doubt, MLC is much more popular compared to LPL in major markets such as India and Middle-east.

Colombo Strikers vs Kandy Falcons 3rd match today both teams have already entered the field. This match has started at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. The performance of the batsmen between the two teams will depend on which team will win this match. Colombo Strikers  The team came out to bat and set a target of 198 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Colombo Strikers team batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama was out for 28 runs in 26 balls. Muhammad Waseem was out for 32 runs in 18 balls. Kandy Falcons team batsmen overcame this run to win the match. It will be very difficult.

People should raise questions about the mentality and performance of South African players instead of raising questions about the catch. South Africa wouldn't even won the match if it was a six. 30 runs were required from 30 balls, and they let it happen to 16 runs from last 6 balls. They have lost the match in the same way as the way they won against Bangladesh and Nepal.

Well, if it was a six, then for sure South Africa would not be needing 16 in the last overs as they would have the more set batsmen still on the crease and the runs required would have been a lot less in the last over, making less pressure on the south African team. That was a crucial catch and it turned the game in the favor of the Indian team.

Anyway, there is no need to think if that would have happened or that would have not happen, because nothing can be changed now. The teams has thier chances in that final and India come out to be a better team.

It's true that some people put allegations on ICC for favouring India in sky catch at such crutical stage where miller can easily divert results in thier favour but I think it's all about third umpire and ICC so soon investigation will get things out of some cheating or wrong decision has happened.
Hey bro, South Africa are known to be a sloppy team which was made more evident by their final defeat. 30 runs needed from 30 balls when Henry Klaassen got out At this moment if South Africa had played with a single run per ball then South Africa would have easily won the match. 99 percent of cricket fans thought South Africa would win the cup but I was in no way prepared for South Africa to lose like that. However, I only blame David Miller for the loss of this match. Despite having such a responsible and aggressive cricketer like him, why finish the game like this in the last over. In no way will I blame anyone else in South Africa, only David Miller was responsible for losing this match.

You are right I also think South Africa loses only the slow batting of David Miller. David Miller takes retirement from T20 cricket with a sad back of not winning the World Cup. David Miller is a good player but unfortunately, he could not finish the match sadly he is retiring from international cricket he had tears in his eyes when the presentation of the match was going on it is really sad that a team that won If he loses. David Miller played very slow cricket in the final match of the World Cup only scoring 21 runs from 17 balls with only 1 boundary hit. if he played aggressively then South Africa easily won the tournament final. in the last over they tried well but the catch was taken on the boundary and lost the final match by a narrow margin.

If you look at it it is somewhat oblique.  One is that it does not take hard work and struggle and the other is that it was a final match so there was pressure.  If they had accelerate their pace by working hard and struggle the target of 176 could have been achieved.  This is very sad.  If they worked hard and struggled, they could bring change.  But leaving the team in this way will not be easy.  Every team has some player who is weak but that does not mean everyone should give up.  Yes if they had not wasted so many balls it was a matter of 7 runs and that would have been accomplish.  But luck and their hard work made them lose the final match and also lost the hard work to reach the final.  Congratulations to India for this win and the South Africa team must work hard and struggle or the team should not give up.

India vs Zimbabwe starting soon. Am excited for this one since India is testing out many young and successful IPL players like Parag, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh, Rinku, Jaiswal, Gaikwad etc.

Gill is the captain. This is a great opportunity for them to prove themselves on the international stage and Zimbabwe players to try and rise back up.

The South African team was the main reason for their defeat here, enough said the performance of the South African team. But when opening batsmen get out very easily, opening batsman Reeza Hendricks has performed abysmal. And another player Markram did not perform well as captain.
How can a team win where key batsmen get out so easily, Satran's deficiency in Reeza Hendricks and Markram would have been compensated if they could have performed a little better. However, the batsmen of the first offensive phase are the main reason for the South African team not winning.

Talking about the opener Reeza Hendricks, he was the first wicket of the team South Africa and he was out by Jasprit Bumrah as Bumrah gave ball too fast inside outswing and even with the naked eye it was a treat to watch and it was even  better as we saw in slow motionand in zoom. The ball took a bounce like it would go in but went outside and directly hit to the stumps. It also could be played but the ball was too fast which caused of Reeza Hendricks wicket and the South African team also lost their opening wicket early at the score of 7 runs.

By the way that's not a right thing you are blaming only one person for the match losing. Which I think is not good. Because in my point of view he was holding the wickets because holding wickets was also an important matter of a match. They tried well but unfortunately they lost. Buy saying that Miller is responsible for this I don't agree on it. First of all I will blame the South African bowlers who did not able to stop the score and India made 176 runs. If they control the score to South Africa could win the Final match. So I will blame the whole team. Not only a one man.
No I don't want to blame the South African bowlers either because they bowled well enough. but I want to blame South Africa's top order and lower order batsmen for their defeat. Because South Africa's middle order batsman Heinrich Klaasen brought the match completely in hand. However, when he got out later, no batsman could catch up with their team, due to which they lost very badly to the Indians in the end. Klaassen raised the hopes of winning from a place where South Africa were losing from the start. However, South Africa could not keep the hopes alive as they lost to India by seven runs in their first ever World Cup final. Also the shot taken by David Miller may have been caught out unfortunately but he tried to win the team. But he failed.

The second wicket of the South African player was too much important as it was the wicket of their captain who played very well in the past. One and the only Aiden Markram was out by Arshdeep Singh, he gave ball onto the off side and it was swinging in a different direction. Let me explain. He gave a ball that was going to off side slowly and Aiden Markram thought he could hit on it and take a single but the bat took the edge was and Pant picked that catch very easily and Aiden Markram lost his wicket on just 4 runs while he used 5 balls.
Markram? That dude was out of form since IPL 2024 which is why his wicket didn't really matter much. What mattered far more were the wickets of De Kock, Klaasen and Miller who almost took the game away from India.

For me, the game-changing moments were Klaasen throwing away his wicket and Sky taking Miller's catch under insane pressure.

You really blame Markram's wicket when they only lost match in last couple overs?
A match is won from the top order players and we saw both Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram got out cheaply. Yes i know that they lost the way in the last few overs but then if they had one more batter after David Miller (the upper batting order played with more responsibility), the results would have been in South Africans favor.

Yes, they didn't have batter or batting all-rounder cushion in lower-middle order but still I disagree that top-order needs to perform to win the game, they can fail, and when that happens someone from rest of batters needs to perform, and Klassen did completely overcame deficiency of top-order fail in finale.

David Miller takes retirement from T20 cricket with a sad back of not winning the World Cup.
I search Google after reading your comment, there is nothing about Miller's retirement. Are you sure?
Same here, i also found nothing about David Miller's retirement. Maybe he needs to share the link from where he read this news or maybe there are too many fake posts in social media  Huh
Of course, there is a lot of fake news circulating on social media. recently I saw David Miller's retirement news from the social media channel Facebook. This news is circulating a lot on different pages of Fb but There is still no confirmation whether David Millen has retired from T20 cricket or not. If anyone has confirmed news about the Retirement of David Miller please share News Link

You shouldn't trust anything that comes from social media, specifically fb. Though, If news is from official handles, it can be trusted. In this case, no announcement from David Miller himself, or the SA cricket handle — so this news is a hoax.

After a highly competitive competition in the form of World Cup, now India is off to one of the meaningless T20I series with them facing Zimbabwe for a 5-match series. I don't know how the Indians are going to benefit from this. Younger players such as Samson maybe able to improve on their career stats, but we need to remember that Zimbabwe is a team that failed to qualify even for the T20I World Cup. The BCCI could have rather setup a series with Nepal or Namibia.
Correct India has won the T20 World Cup . But Indian players want rest because they played against big teams with consistency but now Indian team will be new against Zimbabwe. Rohit Sharma is retired from T20 and Virat Kohli also took retirement. But now is time for Indian cricket board to check youngesters and that's why they will play against Zimbabwe. If they play against big team like Australia and England, they should give their top team but top players want rest and id India lose against big teams ,then India ranking will go down . So I think that is good decision of Indian cricket board because they know well about cricket and they are legends.Indian team is top most team of World and Indian team proved it yesterday and I like Indian players.
All the players who were in the World Cup XI need adequate rest as we have seen every player who didn't get any rest after finishing the IPL went directly to the T20 World Cup. They have performed well in every match of T20 World Cup and they have won the T20 World Cup. Maybe they will spend some time with their family with that happiness. This victory of India is carrying joy across India. Narendra Modi on his Facebook page congratulated the current T20 team coach along with T20 captain Virat Kohli and expressed his gratitude to them. India have worked hard for a long time and they were definitely a team that deserved to win the title in this tournament and they performed to their credit and secured the title. So we will definitely see new faces in the next series.

These stuff are usually posted on social media to gain attention but do not have any reality. The third umpire checked the catch and the camera can't be fooled. There were a number of things which went wrong for South Africa and they lost the match.
