Squad Announcement for the England and Ireland Series

Pakistan has announced their squad for the England and Ireland series and these are the 18 players who are going to Ireland and England tour and also the players selected from here for the World Cup 2024.

In this press conference, Wahab Riaz said that after 21 May we will announce our World Cup Squad and we are not announced it till now just due to fitness reasons because Haris Rauf is entering this series after a big injury and one more player there is who came after a long time. So after Ireland series they are trying to be reveal thier squad.

Chennai's batting performance against Punjab has put their playoff chances in doubt. Congratulations to Punjab! It's surprising that Punjab didn't make it to the playoffs with such a strong performance.

CSK really needs to shake up their batting lineup. Losing must-win matches is putting them in a tough spot for the playoffs. They have to win three out of four matches, but the teams they're facing are all strong.

Punjab Kings won the match by by 7 wickets against Chennai Super Kings. Even after losing 4 match continuesly, Punjab Kings keep doing well and they have won last two matches. Where Chennai Super Kings performance was getting down gradually. I must say that their starting was good enough, openers were doing well. Ajinkya Rahane(29), Ruturaj Gaikwad (62) can consider good runs. But after them, rest of players didn't perform well. They played but SR was lower. Besides Punjab Kings supposed to be preplanned about their batting as well. So was seen in their batting, they start doing well from beginning. Jonny Bairstow(46), Rilee Rossouw (43) made good runs. The opening couple of players played well from the beginning of Chennai Super Kings. Unfortunately, the next 2 batsmen perform very poorly including Ravindra Jadeja. For the 1st down and 2nd down batsman's poor performance Chennai Super Kings lost today's match. Specially Harpreet Brar was delivered well. For his 4 overs, CSK collected only 17 runs and lost 2 wickets. Also, Rahul Chahar played well with his outstanding 24 delivery. He gave 16 runs and got 2 important wickets that favored to Punjab Kings. The Punjab Kings all of the players of the batting line continue their run-collected performance. ^^ Watch out for more dead rubber in upcoming fixtures. The main reason would be some teams securing their spot for the play offs, followed by the pitch slowing up and we kind of reached some level of sanity where the 200 target is not the norm anymore.

The only thrill or some would say cheap thrill would be that lower ranking team at the table playing the party popper for a couple of teams.

To me, the match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings was not exciting at all, it felt like a one sided match.When we see a team winning by 10 runs or 20 runs or less and sometimes winning by one wicket or two wickets we can call those matches as highly exciting matches. The trio of Rabada, Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar for the Punjab Kings in yesterday's match completely tied down the Chennai super kings batsmen. Chennai Super Kings could not score many runs mainly due to the outstanding bowling performance of these bowlers. Chennai Super Kings bowlers could not bowl tight like Punjab Kings bowlers but Mustafizur Rahman took the maiden over which was a comfortable over. I found Chennai's bowling line-up in yesterday's match to be in disarray, which may have been one of the reasons for their defeat.

Expected tough luck for CSK when it was announced during toss that Pathirana wasn't going to play, yes Deshpande also didn't play but IMO Pathirana was a bigger blow.

Despite having so much batting depth, CSK played slow which costed them the match.

Their impact sub (Sameer Rizvi in place of Ajinkya Rahane) also made sure that Chennai Super Kings is well short of bowling options. Mustafizur Rahman was the only CSK bowler who was impressive. Everyone else leaked plenty of runs.
