It is always disappointing to see a team perform well but still come up short in the end. It’s very sad to see Bangladesh lost this match against Srilanka, It was very close to win the match. I did not expect such a performance from Nazmul Hossain Shanta as the captain of Bangladesh in today's match. I agree with you. Santo is quite an experienced cricketer. He is now the captain of the Bangladesh team. He should not be batting like such a fool. Because the target was 207 runs. We have a good interesting end of this first game with both teams give their best till last ball and at the end we have better team as winner even there was good chance for the Bangladesh to win this game but Dusan Shanaka done good job and have won for his team Mahmudullah and Jaker Ali both were at his best, but their finishing was not good as required specially last wicket of the Jaker Ali in last over give good booster to Sri Lanka for the win veteran Angelo Mathews is also doing good after his comeback in this format and most chances he could be important for them in coming world cup as well.

Bangladesh is also doing good with these youngsters, and they need experience which will give them chance of improvement and quality will surely bring good results in coming years, hopefully selectors will keep faith and give them more chances.

Bangladesh top order failed to score runs today and majority of runs were scored by Mahmudullah and Jaker Ali. Bangladesh could have won the match if there top order had played there part. Jaker Ali was too good with bat today, it was his 4th T20I and he scored 68 runs. Jaker Ali was unlucky to lose his wicket in last over and that was turning point of the game. Still 2 more games to be played after that and Bangladesh had a chance to win this series if they can repeat such performance in upcoming matches.

No doubt, I was one of them who said that game is over for Bangladesh but its Jaker Ali who took Bangladesh so close to victory. 12 runs were required in last over and Bangladesh lost two wickets including crucial wicket of Jaker Ali in last over. Bangladesh would have won the match if Jaker Ali didn't got himself out in last over. Charith Asalanka was man of the match because he took the important catch of Jaker Ali in last over.

The Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh turned out to be a close thrill. Sri Lanka batting first made a good score of 206 which seemed too large for Bangladesh to chase.
But Bangladesh were good with the chase and needed just 12 runs in the last over with 4 wickets remaining. That's generally considered an easily achievable feat on T20. Specially when the team has achieved 10+ runs on average for the rest 19 overs.
The last over bowling of Dasun Shanaka didn't turned out good for Bangladesh, they lost 2 wickets and fell short of the target by 4 runs.

Bangladesh come so close to winning yet so far. This must be a big disappointment for them. The 19th over brought a big hope in the Bangladesh team as they scored 15 runs in that over and not to mention that 5 runs no ball that made things really excited.

The final over by Shanaka was a beauty where in the first 4 balls he only gave two runs and got two wickets. That include the wicket of the set batsmen Jaker Ali who made 68 runs. After this the hopes were all over for Bangladesh and Srilanka team won only by 3 runs. This was a very entertaining match and we expect to see more close matches in this series.
