Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes met in the 21st match of the Big Bash League in the new year today. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and elected to bowl. Sydney Thunder went into bat and lost wickets at regular intervals. They lost 7 wickets only to score 96 runs. Chris Green's 17-ball 33-run innings helped Sydney Thunder score 150 runs in the end of the innings effort. Chasing an easy target given by Sydney Thunder, Hubert Hurricane won by 7 wickets with 11 balls in hand. Ben McDermott played an unbeaten innings of 53 off 34 balls for Hobart Hurricanes. Hobart Hurricane started the new year with a win, they have won two of five games and are fifth in the points table.

Exactly the first partnership was great as compared to the last match. In the first match they lost three wickets on 23 runs. And in the last match they lost first wicket at 72 runs. After that I didn't see and good player fisr two openers made 116 runs in total.
After that the bowling of United Arab Emirates was good. Particularly Ali Naseer who is the man of the player got 4 wickets after him Muhammad Jawadullah also collected 4 wickets. Entirely we can say that United Arab Emirates performance was good.

I did not watch the match, saw the highlight now and UAE won because of impressive bowling. Muhammad Jawad Ullah and Ali Naseer were the reason why UAE was able to thrash Afghanistan, which is very impressive. You won't find native players from Middle East countries, the reason native are into football. Give cricket sometime to grow in those countries and you would start seeing native players. The interest from the USA is understandable, not sure about Japan.

I think UAE batted well and bowled well against Afghanistan in the second T20 match. Muhammad Waseem and Aryan Lakra performed well in batting and Ali Nasser performed well in bowling as a result of which UAE put up a great innings against Afghanistan. The T20 series between their two teams is currently tied at 1-1.

Well, i was surprised to see UAE won this match by 11 runs. I would consider this an upset for the Afghanistan team as they are considered to be a better team than the UAE. In the first T20 UAE's batting failed as they only were able to make 131 runs but in this match, they made a bit more considerable score of 166 runs and have something to bowl at.

Afghanistan were all out on 155 runs. Mohammad Nabi made 47 runs but could not help his team cross the line. They lost too many wickets and at no point in this match looked to chase the target comfortably.

The final match between the two teams will be played tomorrow at Sharjah.

BBL#13 ADS vs MLS: MLS looked poor in fielding, dropped catch of Overton, thankfully it didn't cost them much but several fours were given unnecessarily which could have been saved with effort.

The remarkable comeback of the UAE has been a real surprise. The first T20 was lost to Afghanistan by a huge margin of 72 runs but managed to take revenge in the second T20 by beating Afghanistan by 11 runs. UAE's opening pair of Muhammad Waseem (53) and Ayran Lakra (63) were able to set a target of 166 runs based on the innings. Again bowling much better than Afghanistan especially Muhammad Jawadullah and Ali Naseer picking up four wickets each as Afghanistan were bowled out for 155 and lost by 11 runs.
