You are a captain and happen to be an opener so he was at the crease for the full 20 overs, it means he was the only set batter at the crease and when a pitch is tough for a new batter then it's the responsibility of the set batsman to take his team to the finish line. On such pitches, you can't expect a new batter to come and hit 2 sixes.

Your are right buddy It would be dishonest to blame Pakistan success exclusively on the fact that several New Zealand players are currently involved in the IPL. It is a credit to their perseverance and commitment to the game that the Pakistani squad has displayed such ability and tenacity in their performances thus far in the series. It also crucial to keep in mind that T20 leagues like the IPL may give players invaluable exposure and experience which will ultimately help their national teams in the long term.
