I have seen these machine but never played on one of them. I guess in the near future miniature devices like these can be bought online and can get connected to an online casino for home based experience. I do not think VR can give you the physical enjoyment that you mentioned.

Would you trust such "miniature devices" bought online at  casino site? I'm asking because  I've been thinking really, really hard about my own startup company that would focus on manufacturing of the "miniature" slot machines.  Gadgets are rarely bought by people directly  from the actual manufacturers and that bothers me.

With our digitalized world today, many of our habits in our lives have also started to become digital.  Our gambling habits have changed as a result of the pandemic process we have experienced in the last few months and many businesses have been closed and people continue to live in the quarantine process.  Although online gambling is easier for people, I think it will not replace physically played games.  Unfortunately, the casino environment, the nice feeling of touching the machines and many other factors are not available in online casino services.  This actually shows the negative effects of some things while they are getting easier in our lives.

You probably could easily have the tactile experience on virtual reality based fruits machines...and it'll depend on the type of VR company/gadget used... HTC Vive for example could give guch experience.
So I guess the online based fruit machine could include VR based version for their players.

Good point, BTW, and I've thought about VR headset and gloves yo increase the level of adrenaline in my body when gambling online. However, I need to upgrade mu computer to meet VR requirements and it would cost me near $3000, plus there's the cost of buying VR related stuff, all those would cost quite a money. So, I'd rather just buy a single tactile controller for fruit machine.

How about going to places that offer that kind of service with the right VR/AR equipments and pay to bet online instead of the upgrade to expensive hardware? I guess such service are rare or don't exist atall.
Hope the increase level of adrenaline translates to profit so it doesn't turn into something unpleasant

It definitely will affect your gaming experience. The pulling lever stuff will give you some satisfaction despite the slots outcome. Even changing your ordinary PC keyboard into a mechanical keyboard will be more enjoyable for gaming and typing. I'm skeptical about it at first, but after I bought one, I will not use an ordinary keyboard anymore. The feel and the sound are just too stimulating. I think it would be the most reasonable thing to improve your gaming experience as no one would build such a mechanical lever only for playing slots online.

I think so too, if the OP is used to playing real using a machine, then when playing online it will feel different, but along with the adjustment from time to time I think he will get used to it, and will not experience any problems at all.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
I think with the increase in the tactile controllers for the gaming giants we might see them coming in the gambling industry soon. Whoever starts this as a new project is going to get a good amount of audience.

After all casinos survive on the sensory rush of the player and if that could be brought to the extremes then they would not stop it would they? Cheesy
This could also be the next big thing to market the crisis situation with a real life feel of being in a casino while actually in your home.

Futuristic eh. Virtual casino tours anybody?

IMO, such devices would  get a lot of interest, what do you think?
So true Smiley. Playing on a a particular venue and physically engaging with other players is the best. You can't compare it to the online games available. Though the hype was there since it was about money after all (everyone becomes excited when it comes to it of course), you can still feel that there's something missing. You know what I'm saying. That's why until now I go the old fashioned way as much as possible, I really prefer cards rather than mouse and computer screen Cheesy.

I remember that machine because I already played that machine with some of my friends in the past. It is very exciting to play on that machine as we need to have the luck to have the same image. I wonder how the result will come from OP if he succeeds in his experiment. If that happens, maybe he can start his own company in producing that machine.

This sounds really interesting. This is probably the closest one can get if he really misses that golden tactile feeling very badly, which sadly the online casinos cannot give. Especially these days when most of us are really forced to stay at home, this could give you that little casino feeling within your own room or house, which a lot of gamblers must have missed terribly.

i thought he was only talking about the controller  ( the one that is color  red handle on the right  ) and not the graphics  . while vr can only provide 3d/reality like graphics , still okay to be implemnted on a gambling site in the future because i havent see one for a while   . also the other one which is the physical controls  .  that would be a cool addition/feauture too to add to have that nostalgic feels the same way when we play the actuall slots on the arcade  or on a physical casinos

I hate these machines. I haven't made any money until today. I've been trying for a long time but I guess I gave up now. By the way, I have never played online. I have tried many times in casinos in Cyprus.

When I see this simple slots with just couple lines I just close them and move to another one! I think it's impossible to compare this old slots with new ones, with so many lines, in game bonuses, wilds, and so many other things.
This is individual, I assume some people like the old way, to pull the stick and to watch machine. I have enough age to remember those slot machines when I was younger, but I never liked them, from all machines I just played poker, and when you win a hand you can play in game higher/lower to multiply your winnings. Now I like my comp and mouse, keyboard, and of course my comfortable chair! Smiley

Take a look in these researches.

I think this is the closest thing you are looking for; a physical controller for an online game. While searching, I just realized that the mechanism of these controllers are complicated and it needs a lot of engineering and knowledge in computer science LOL!

It looks like you need a lot of time to make this project possible.

PS: The research is a long read.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
So you mean you want to play online and feel like you are holding the slot handle as well?

Yeah, you've got me right. Right now I'm in DIY project. I have bought the toy slot machine and trying to connect it in both way i.s. electrically and mechanically with my old joystick to have the  digital signal proportional to the momentum I'm applying to the handle of that toy. If  that succeeds I might think about launching startup company to produce such digitized slots.

You can edit the OP once in a while to update us about your DIY project, I think you may get the good advice of DarkDays as well but I think RPi will not have cost that much just pick one with lower specs. Pursue it if you can and sold some here I'm pretty sure there are quiet slot fanatics here.

So you mean you want to play online and feel like you are holding the slot handle as well? Nostalgia comes in play by the way, well, I guess that is fun but haven't really seen anything like that before playing an online slot at least the sound once it rolls are indeed similar but tangible slot handles I doubt you'll get that in this age playing online, better get onto your nearest physical casino once it re-opens again.

Care to upgrade your smartphone or computer and get your car gearstick? Just joking aside.

I don't know if there are companies that manufactured such lever to plug into our desktop or laptop to get the feel and experience and emotions.
There's probably none since there's no real demand for it but if OP really wanted to have the same feel the only option is to make one on his own. He could assign the spin command to the slot controller whenever its pulled down since most casinos have specific hotkeys for each command.

Realistically, it wouldn't be too difficult to create one with a raspberry pi and some spare slot machine parts from eBay, but I'm not sure how many people would actually go through all of that effort for very little reward.
We might see it as a small reward but for people like OP it could be big since they could now have a similar experience without going out.

Although I agree that the feel of a physical slot machine definitely contributes to its attractiveness as a game. I really don't think that people would actually buy a physical slot handle just to play online.

That said, I do think that casinos could implement something similar with a mobile device, e.g. sliding the lever on a phone and phone vibrates while doing so.

Or you could rig the phone itself into a contraption, and push the phone down like a pedal to play. I doubt any casinos would go for integrating with this though, since it's just so niche.

When I started out, there were only fruit-machines all around equipped either with handle or button to activate the revolving reels and I have always taken those ones that were one-armed and culminated in a  feelings of my influence on the resulting fruits.

That emotion has  diminished  almost to zero as I moved to online gambling services that lack of tactile reaction and I would like to touch the physical one-armed controllers that are tactile and resemble the old fashioned handle that would gave me back the sensation when playing online.

I agree with you. There are really times that we feel we can able to control the result playing on that classic machine.

Shifting to playing online, the experience is really different.

The kind of feeling will be understood by those who really spend time playing at the classic machines back then. I missed that fruit-machine. Part of my gambling experience during my high school days.

.. but the idea of having the control on the result can not be proven as true for it is still gambling and luck will always be our tool to win.

Obviously, it can't be controlled. It's just that, it's more exciting that way. In some cases, it works. Smiley

If you are a old and traditional players (been playing slots for the last 10 years) and suddenly switch to online gaming slots, definitely you will miss the lever, the adrenaline rush, so I would agree with you that it has diminished when I'm playing online. The closest that you can get is the sound of the lever, but it is very different when you hold and pull it and somewhat thinks that you can influence the outcome.

I don't know if there are companies that manufactured such lever to plug into our desktop or laptop to get the feel and experience and emotions.

This depends on user preference too when it comes to that tactile matters when using up slots or another machines that are mostly found on physical casinos.Well i cant really deny that kind of feeling which do really add up
thrill and emotions while you are pulling or pressing something anytime you do make a roll. For people whom do get used to this experience will really prefer this one based on what they had experienced and if they do switch of to online then of course they would really able to tell the difference and which likely for them to lose interest because they havent feel out on what they do seek but for those online users or who havent
experienced on pulling those bars or clicking something then they dont really have any idea on what it looks or feels like.
