If he is worried and disappointed that his investment in Bitcoin will fall, he should not invest in Bitcoin from the start. He should have understood that investing in Bitcoin is quite risky. This is not the way to invest with high returns in a short period of time. He should know that his investment can drop significantly and he must accept that because he invests in risky assets. He should have held it for a longer period of time, maybe in the next 3 years his investment will bear fruit. The point is to stay patient and HOLD.

Every investment is risky. but I agree, you should always be prepared for the downfall. Yeah, the spirit only comes with experience, but it's not hard just to do a little research and be somewhat prepared.

It all lies on one's expectations. Probably your friend thought that he caught the bottom. That after he buys, BTC will go up ahead to 100K. But it isn't. He is disappointed and also upset because his initial investment decreased because of the fluctuation gone lower. But guess what? What he feels is normal.

The best thing you can do as his friend is to straighten up his expectation towards his investment. Introduce him to a bigger and longer perspective year from now. Give him points of study about BTC fundamentals. All will be solve with proper education and not you can found in a toxic 15mns videos in Youtube.

After that I'm pretty sure he'll be more knowledgeable about what he is going to do with his own investment, will he cut loss? will he DCA? will he hold? All depends on his decision because that is his own investment and accountability of his own money.

The plan is to buy and hold, and when the price enters for you, you take profit. It's always a disappointment to people when they invest their life savings in Bitcoin with a higher expectation of taking home a profit in a short period of time, but the price of Bitcoin seems to always be moving on its own and not in favor of anyone.

Don't you think Bitcoin could not have been as strong as it is today if this was ever possible or if its price could be controlled? If anyone knows exactly when the price of Bitcoin will drop and when it will fall, don't you think everyone will have to wait for the falling time to buy cheap and wait exactly for the bull run to sell and make profit? When everyone knows this, who do you think will be winning to sell when the price is down knowing that the price will go up at a particular time? It's always advisable for us to buy Bitcoin when we are not in a hurry to use it, based on Bitcoin volatility. This way, you can't be disappointed by any price you see for Bitcoin after your purchase; you will always have to accept it, knowing that the price will eventually change in a matter of time, not minding when.

First time I reckon? A drop isn't anything new in the market, and this is what, a drop from at most 29, 30k to 25k? Wonder how much disappointment your friend would've had if it was the past drops like the most recent ATH to the lowest it's been lately which was around 18k ish iirc a few months ago? If you're afraid of the market crashes BUT trust in Bitcoin's possibility of growing in price, then do DCA. If you want to short, then just be prepared to lose a lot, "being careful" isn't enough to make you NOT lose any money. You will lose money no matter what.

If your friend is investing in crypto money, he should get used to such situations. Such incidents have happened many times and will continue to happen. Taking advantage of this present price fall doesn't mean there won't be any more further price rejections, that's why people need to overlook price falling as a disadvantages, we worry about things that we can't control, all we should be doing is constant DCA, when price fall happens we should be buying some Bitcoin, when you can actually afford it, you don't have to go tale some loan to take advantage of the dips. Be prepared for any possibility, have some USD and wait, then buy small amount of Bitcoin and wait for another future possible dips again, might be in a week time or a months time.

This is the perfect way to invest in Bitcoin, do not go all into Bitcoin with everything you have.

It is trading then I will agree with that they are really facing a difficult time but for investor I strongly disagree with your point. Investors would not be disappointed by the reducing nature of bitcoin because they are not investing for a short term investment but a very long term investment and this is the best time to buy and store, we all that bitcoin will surely go up so in what way are you saying that investors are disappointed? Anyone that wants to store for the future, this is one of the best time to do that. Now that bitcoin is still $25+k to 27+k US dollar is time to purchase and store in the non custodian wallets.

No, don't blame yourselves as a newbie for a reason to lose but rather make this a reason why you should have to study more about how the crypto market works. We all have once a newbie before we change like a pro and all of us experience these things - losses, emotional stress, regrets, failures, and uncertainties. Yet, though some had quit but many continue their crypto journey until they reach their goal and succeeded.

I am solely committed to bitcoin and willing to go up or down with bitcoin. Somehow the SEC issues and Binance US are the ones that had made the market a bit down since last week. But after that, there's no need to think of it a lot of times. Why? Because it's just gonna make you stressful thinking on how you should deal with that.

Just a little drop in bitcoin price is what is making your friend to panic,what will he have done assuming it was last year August to December when bitcoin price went dip to 17k. This is the problem newbies have and don't understand the logic of bitcoin investment because they think that it is a quick get reach investment.
