Well bitcoin provides an alternative to the ruling elite. In mexici, that just happens to be the cartel.

In the US it's the banks and War Machine. What's the difference? Guess who kills and steals more?

Well money is also used for good and bad, right?

I think it is still a great place for bitcoin or an alternative coin to grow an succeed. And perhaps countries in south america too, like Argentina. They suffered their currency collapse not too long ago.

Well, all countries are controlled by either a group of interest or a different government. So the question would be, why invest in anything or anywhere at all?

But I think Mexico has a great chance Smiley

Show them a great value and give them work for BTC and you will conquer a whole country. No need for fighting.

Do you want to know how you can get rid of the Cartels? Get rid of the war on drugs and legalise them. End of story.

I'd tend to think that since cartels more or less control Mexico, and that BTC could definitely benefit them (if it doesn't already), then Mexico would definitely be a great place for BTC...
yes but who is going to invest in Mexico for Bitcoins as there is most of peoples want to steal or rob not want to do serious work

What kind of BTC opportunities are there right now in Mexico? I think the last thing that I heard was an exchange opening up -- and the name escapes me at this moment.

I've been there a few times in my life, bordering Arizona and all, but I haven't heard much about how well the country is taking to the adoption of everyone's favorite cryptocurrency.

Without explaining too much about politics, I think Mexico is the best place for Bitcoin hands down.

A friend of mine is already looking into a BTC exchange where coins are purchased in the US for a small fee, then a contact in Mexico turns them into Pesos.

But if you ask me, I think the idea was probably good 20 to 10 years ago. People don't really send as much as before. The families that came here to work have now families of their own. So they don;t send as much. I still think it is a great idea but it would be harder to sell.

Yeah monica do you send remittance money, and if so, what are the western union fees?

I have no idea what the remittance is, I have used other online companies but it has been more than a year.

From this trip I learned that:

1) Most young Mexicans have heard about bitcoins. We young latins are very techie too.
2) Those who have heard about them have no idea how they work, how to buy them, and what to do with them.
3) Most of them will not spend their money buying bitcoins, they will rather work for bitcoin (Kind of like me, but I have bought a few quantities earlier.)
4) Most think it is a real revolution but one that may just pass them by because they can't afford them or earn them (at least now).
5) Those who have not heard about them, once I explained to them, they were very interested and thought it was a great idea.
6) I convinced a total of 6 people to buy bitcoins using localbitcoin. This actually really really means a lot. In a place where people steal from everybody every second, and people usually do not trust other with heir money, for someone to wire money to an account and hope to receive something back in minutes (in Mexico!) it is outrageous.

So, my final word is: Let's invest in Mexico. Let's gain one country at a time. Mexico has the infrastructure but lack heavily in government.

What part of Mexico are you from?  I'm just curious as to whether the Sinaloa Cartel is active in your area or if it's Zeta or CDG controlled.

You sure know how to chat up a woman. I'll remember to use the so what do you know about drug cartels line? next time I meet a Mexican woman haha  Grin

I could introduce you to a few ladies who love the cartel talk since they dream of the Scarface life, for whatever reason.

You know, the kind of girls you'd never want to date anyways... Wink

You know you want some of that taco.. and to butter up that culo.

I literally don't know what that means.

Just go up to a latina, or since you are in the uk.. tell a girl from spain "dame ver tu culo, por favor." You will flatter her.

Yeah, you probably don't want to say that to a woman, unless you want to be punched in the face... Or get laid. It is 50/50, or more like 90/10

I really don't follow much of what is going on so I really wouldn't know.
