tech question:
Is a transaction required in order for a block to stake.
I am thinking yes. It takes 2 ... one stake and one send/payment.

I'm trying to stake but not getting anything and it shows stakes from a few days ago as having 0 confirmations...
let the client get to full sync before unlocking, sometimes it takes a while
Also if you've not launched the wallet for several days, it is normal that some of your stakes will not be accepted by network. Hence they're discarded with 0 confirmations.

Yes, the coins are being staked slowly, but at least the wallet sync issue is now gone. Whenever I launch my wallet, it syncs fine.
My guess is that very few coins are being staked.
So Stake.
My knowledge is that nearly none of the large wallets have ever staked this coin.
ps ... my theory is that this coin was long ago just deleted and that much less than 64M exist. Yes after the Summer 2014 pump, the exchange deletion from Polo, the 100s of new coins mine/pump by the big hash boys, most just DEL their wallets. I think less than 50% are still in the wild. Perhaps even less. So Stake!

No one staking.
i'm staking, but need 1 more confirm to release already staked coins.
I am also staking (last time I checked was on 12th). Just fired up the wallet again, mostly synced (2 hours of blocks left). Then it will start staking again I hope.

It appears there is an issue that if you leave the wallet open but not unlocked for staking the sync gets stuck.
I suggest unlocking for staking while you leave the wallet open.

i got back into mega, so here's a new BC archive for those that can use it. this is the full roaming folder (without the .dat ofc) so you should be good to go, not sure exactly when i quit, but should get you up to ~ 07/14/15. my staking session went fine with plenty of peers
