To bad it's all in philipinan, so i don't understand a word of these threads.
But if it's true: congrants on your find. It is indeed not allowed to use alt accounts as shills (as far as i know)

It's Pilipino, Philippines, Pilipinas mate, not Philipinan. Smiley Just to correct it.

Unfortunately I have seen a lot of alt users in our local thread and a majority of people in there are doing this mainly for signature spamming. You can notice that each and everyday, new users will appear in there, and I must say 70% of those numbers are all alt accounts.  The more this kind of action is not given any attention, users are more likely to abuse this more and more. This is mainly one of the reasons why I have lessen the time that I am spending in our subforum because some users are just pretending to have no idea of what they are talking about when in fact they are already been here for quite some time. What I hate about is they are only making fool of each other.

Also I have once suggested that this kind of actions to be stopped but guess what they said? They ask me to just get over it and let them be because they claim tt it is not a big deal. Someone said that I hould not make any big deal out of it and just let it go and just let them do what they do becuse it's the only way they can keep earning with their signature and once a mod caught attention of it, their so called "jobs" will be more harder for them.

I guess it depends what the two or more accounts are talking to each other about. If it's vouching for each other as trust etc then that shouldn't be allowed.

I am pretty sure that sockies shilling for each other is totally commonplace here (and no-one is going to do anything to stop them).

Best thing is not to bother reporting unfortunately (I have stopped reporting anything on this forum now).

While not necessarily against the rules it's frowned upon but likely constitutes sig spam. I marked one of your reports as bad because all you left as a comment was a link to the alt thread which looked to me like you were just reporting alts (which would be a bad report). Someone else marked the others as bad it seems.
I see , and now my accuracy was down to 43%  Undecided Back to the topic, what will be the consequences that spammer will get?

Offtopic: Will there be also some consequences if ever my reporting accuracy will continue fell down to 1% ?

As he said that its frowned upon and if someone is caught doing that it will considered as sig spam and afaik that leads to temp/perma bans. Adding this to my list though, thanks for the suggestion: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/things-not-against-forum-rules-but-frowned-upon-by-community-beta-1333542

Not sure about the other question, if your accuracy gets too low then your reports might not be taken seriously. Mine is @90% with 195 posts, trying to improve it, though I sometime end up reporting things which I consider immoral and that reduces it.  Wink

is that allowed? no. the consequences? most likely a ban. report them to a mod with proof, or just post it in public. I'd suggest report it privately using PM as there's always a chance that you're mistaken because of account sales.
Quickseller did this with his Panthers52 alt, and it was so uncomfortably, painfully obvious when he was grasping at straws trying to defend his "self-escrowing".  He didn't get a ban, though he did lie about getting banned.  It's a fucking stupid, dishonest thing to do.  Having an alt is one thing, but using them to talk to one another is deceitful.

I swear I've read that it's not allowed... maybe I misunderstood it.
btw isn't there a thread made by a staff (theymos?) about alt accounts? I wanted to review it but can't seem to find it again.

edit:
yup. can't find it. must've imagined it. bad habit.  Embarrassed

Apparently it is allowed considering that tspacepilot has replied to his alt, SED multiple times without consequences.

The only people that can tell for sure if two people are alts of each other are the admins, and it is possible that some moderators may not want to ban based on blockchain evidence alone, although they may put in a request for an admin to ban them.

I don't know tspacepilot but that's pretty sad if they really allow it. Actually I won't care if two or more alts talk to themselves but the fact that the accounts I am reporting were on a sig campaign bothers me. Looks like some sort of spam to me, which shouldn't be tolerated at all

You quite often find two or three guys who manufacture fake arguments and attacks between themselves. The sole purpose is to increase sig views. People seem to enjoy watching fights. Smiley

Some people have multiple opinions, and they want to express both sides, but if they expressed both on one account, it would make no sense. So if you just multiple accounts, you could have the means of starting an argument. Which is usually what a clean discussion translates to.

Hey guys, is that allowed? I just found out a guy that used to do that kind of doing. What are the consequences of such doing?
