This is not good for teachers, teachers don't need to hold guns, teachers just need to teach the students and just hold a paper, pen, chalk or black marker. They don't need to focus on having a gun. If their students gets paranoid the teacher will use their gun to make their students afraid to them and I think that's too brutal for teacher.
ofcourse not teacher shoudn't have gun because teacher teach lesson not to shoot even its protection im not favor for that
No it's not a safe to students have a gun in there classroom. We don't know the teacher is not a mood in class she use the gun into the classroom or the gun of the teacher can steal the student it's not a safe to students and teachers.
Ridiculous, Teachers having guns in class will only present another opportunity for innocent children to be shot! Its obvious that accidents will occur and how could we guarantee that the teacher would instinctively fire back at a terrorist student, and hit the target - additional training would be required both physical and mental - crazy idea by a crazy man!
No one knows truly what the best solution is, and if you think otherwise it is just opinionated.

Even the idea about teachers with guns is so bizarre that should not even come into the discussion in first place. I know that US perspective on this might be different but you should really change the policy and laws on who can have the guns in their possession since the current situation is a complete chaos whic is driving to the events in the schools etc...

Some of the older, more mature kids should be tested. And if they pass - along with permission of their parents - they should have guns in class as well... to help the teachers if necessary.
What better way to teach what is good and bad than to be armed. This way proper respect and camaraderie will be achieved.

But would not it be easier to regulate the purchase of weapons? In my country the rules of engagement of the policemen are also regulated ......... it is a crazy idea to give the weapons to the teachers
I think teacher should't have guns in the classroom, better to strengthen the security of schools at the entrance.

The teacher should'nt bring guns or weapons inside the class beacuse there is a big tendency that the student will be scared and can't concentrate there lessons. The teacher must be a good role model to the student . If ever the teacher caught bringing a guns in class there is a big possibility that she will suspend or her licensed as a teacher will gone.
This proposal is the most ridiculous and unreasonable solution which I have heard so far. A teacher mustn't bring a gun even a knife to a classroom for the sake of students. But We should be suprised of that lunatic man solution. Trump loves guns more than any other people on earth. Bringing a gun to any classroom would be a total nightmare if It happened.

I guess you haven't heard of the mass shootings in American schools yet? Given the circumstances it's far from being the craziest idea ever. And if we look at history I'm sure the jews in Germany would've much preferred to own guns as well...
Possible if are in the time of savage. Possible if we are in the time of terrorism. Possible if we don't trust each other thinking that we fight each other. But no if we are at peace. This couldn't be done and not applicable to do or apply everywhere because this isn't the right way to show the characters of the teachers. If the teachers bring gun inside the classroom meaning the people are very dangerous and the time is very war zone. Actually it is applied in other school that teaches how to become terrorist. How to use gun and whatever they think is good teaching to manipulate their students.

I can't wait Quentin Tarantino to make a film depicting an American society where teachers go to school with fire weapons and actually use them when necessary. Of course, also piupils would start to go to school with weapons which would allow them to defend themselves from the teachers.
This is typical NRA strategy of arming as many people as possible and giving out as many guns as possible.
What I hate the most about the NRA is instead of focusing on training and proper gun training they focus on mass quantity of gun owners. I dont think most people would be against good handling of guns and proper training for owners but if there is any type of restrictions of gun ownership the NRA starts to rage.

Instead of completely banning firearms, Trump said teachers should carry a gun. That is just sick.

There was civil war in my country 25 years ago and I just hate weapons, there is only one thing you can do with weapons and that thing is to kill living being. Carrying weapon for defense is in my honest opinion one big bullshit and brainwashing.
If no one carry a gun no one will kill with the gun.
