Yes, I heard this good news yesterday, I was quite happy with what the telecommunications company was doing. But I'm a little surprised, why didn't Bitcoin experience a big pump yesterday even though this news was quite large.
Although I'm sure the price of bitcoin will continue to rise, now I think that the big good news is not necessarily making a pump, because the pump is held by the whales.

Another good opportunity for AT&T customers to avail themselves of using bitcoin as means of Bill payment this is coming on heels of the price of bitcoin rising and increase in its volume traded.

AT&T is one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the world is going to accept Bitcoin through BitPay after Overstock, Expedia, Subway, Shopify, Microsoft, and Whole Foods. The corporate acceptance of Bitcoin is changing the flow of the crypto market and smoothly increasing its global arena of influence.
This is good news as giants are gradually accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment. Is this an opportunity to help Bitcoin change the entire world, making it acceptable as a common currency? I am considering this a big good news for bitcoin! This can be a good addition to a growing list of big companies now under the Bitcoin umbrella and we are hoping that more can be coming from the telecom industry. AT&T is a recognized leader of this industry and am sure that its membership would be happy for this important news. This is the kind of adoption we are waiting for...we need famous merchants accepting bitcoin because partly they are also advertising for the whole cryptocurrency movement.

It's good for a traditional US tech company accepting modern form of payment. It would certainly give a good message to both crypto community and large companies as it would boost the use of cryptocurrency and make them useful in daily life while would increase revenues for the large companies as people would be more willing to pay on their terms.

I just saw the news on Cointelegraph as well. This shows that mainstream adoption is very possible with bitcoin, and once again gives a strong stamp of legitimacy to the cryptocurrency. This is also free advertising for AT&T, given that numerous articles have just come out about this. This is likely to lead to a copycat effect among other companies.

It seems to be as legit as possible because the announcement was publicly been released on AT&T official website so there is no reason to worry about it being just a rumor. It's definitely great but now let's hope people will also show their support as this company did otherwise they might remove it.

It increases the option for payments for the users whiles requires very less work on the merchant side but increases the user base dramatically.
I hope Google and Apple would too follow the way and integrate such service in their app store.

Surprised as well but I hope it will stay definitely and not removed after some months as Expedia & co did before. No volatility question here because they use BitPay so the bitcoins are converted to USD. Now it's up to the users to show their interest in using BTC. I wish mine do the same.
It's even an irony while tech sites like steam and Microsoft has moved away from accepting crypto payments, something no one hoped for (but of course wanted to), AT&T accepting bitcoin and bitcoincash payments.
