I'd say WAVES and from new ICO's EOS, BNT, SNT. Bancor and Status raised 120 million dollars, EOS will raise probably more than that. If it's all about long term gains I'd stick with these assets.

I would say that the best investment option for now is litecoin. It is still worth not that much and is likely to become worth around six times as much, because more and more people switch from bitcoin to litecoin, for the transactions are instant and the coin is old and known. I don't think litecoin will become as popular as bitcoin but it may become worth around $500. Good and underestimated coin. People underestimate it because of similarities with bitcoin code. They say it is a clone. However, it is an improved similarity, so it may attract many people eventually.

get yourself somer ANT or NEO... the chinese Eth... now its like 7 bucks a piece!
It's actually ANS, AntShares. It's BY FAR your best bet. ETH is going nowhere now. Don't listen to the SiaCoin shills. It's going nowhere. The tech doesn't work, it will take 5+ years before "normies" can use it. They are shifting gears now, hustling overpriced mining stations.

So how do you know that all of the noobs or jr.members are not in crypto for a long time..I myself have just joined the forum but I'm trading in market for a long time. And yes 98% of altcoins are shitcoins...but some of them have a bright future...just because bitcoin was first doesn't mean it's the best or that it will always be the first on market.

I see what this is.  Relative noob starts topic that's been done 1000 times.

Noob to Jr. Members (probably alts) pile in to shitpost.

Anyone notice this pattern?  This is why this forum chronically has a donkey dick in its mouth.

You want a coin to hold "for long"?  Bitcoin.  Say it 10K times and act accordingly.  You can try your shitty luck with shitcoins and you might get lucky, but in the end they're all crap.  You didn't really want the answer to this question, which you could have used the search function for.  I see exactly what this is.

I would go with ANS and QRL, both hugely undervalued at the moment in my opinion

Set a time stake on ETH,ETC and stratis and surely you can get some profit with it or maybe just do short trades on btc and ETH right now since quitely their price are pretty much good to deal on and its very profitable to spot those movements.

The thing you are looking for is stratis. It will rise like ethereum probably. Stratis will be successful as Ethereum in the industry I think.

If it is long term, at least you can give a few personal opinions, why your picks are viable.

I really believe in SIA's future.
  • They have a great technical team.
  • Their GitHub repo is active, closing issues fast.
  • They're active on reddit, discord, hackernews (not only sia or crypto related, tech stuff).
Their product solves a real issue (private cloud storage). Just put it like that. While these hacker attacks intensify, people would want to backup their data without handing it to a big corp. Plus, if any of you claims that storage is not an issue anymore, think about the self-driving cars that are coming - they'll need petabytes of stored data.

Of course, SIA's team won't be able to solve all the upcoming issues by themselves, but they're likely to be bought by a big corp.

Getting on they're cons, well, they lack PR and marketing skills. The product's interface isn't really userfriendly (but it works!). Even their announcements aren't going well. They got some big updates on the product today. They "announced" them in a reddit comment...

A few nice additions: They're not in all the ETH fiasco, they're building they're own ASIC mining chipset (expensive, but at least they're getting there).

I can't say when, but all the data back them up as a good long term investment.

invest in WAVES (min. 1 year), ETH (min. 6 months), BTC (ever) and XEM (min. 6 months)...
I believe in WAVES. I've won with XEM. I trust in BTC. I hope in ETH.

The most mainstream currencies are Bitcoin and Ethereum. But if you want 30x you probably won't reach it in 1 year with these currencies. Smaller cryptos are much riskier but more chance for 30x

Hey,
I am looking for some cryptocurrency to invest for a year. I will make a paper wallet and get back coins after year.
Please suggest me which coin to go with. Just don't give random suggestion for signature spamming. Also don't suggest coins which are booming for short term.
Last year Ethereum worth hardly $12 which is now $350. I am looking for something similar.
