Well by even the first word "force", you would make it that you are going to be responsible of whatever happens to their money. Just having a small talk with investment would be great. Even encouraging them might be a stretch already, but at least you're still willing to share some good ways to earn some passive bucks behind the scene.
I do not want to force people to risk their money and sanity over something, since mental health would be kind of gamble also in any sorts of investment.

Forcing someone to invest in Bitcoin can cause them to be frustrated and think badly of us, when they lose money, this once happened to my friend, luckily he found out bitcoin was not from me at that time.

And I told him, what is the current loss, he said around $1000, it was around 2017, basically someone before making their investment in Bitcoin, they have to look at the market conditions and understand what Bitcoin is, if they already have the basics of Bitcoin analysis, charts and the market down, maybe they can at least try to do it.

I think investing in Bitcoin should understand the basic science of trading and investing in crypto, to deal with more losses.

I agree with you, Bitcoin is a world famous currency, people are getting to know it as the days go by.  People have to present bitcoin in the right way because many countries in the world misrepresent bitcoin because they don't want people to know about it.

It's up to the individual to decide where to invest, but we need to let them know how easy it is to make money through blockchain and how secure it is, much more.

This is correct! And it's true with even any other form of investment, we should be sure we didn't just preach the good part of it, we should also tell of the risk involved, the possible outcome if things are not done the right way, this way, the result of the decision to accept the advise or not would be the fellow's responsibility!

I completely agree with this. Bitcoin is amazing. And it is okay to discuss it with your friends and family. However, it is not right to force your opinions on them. It’s up to them to decide whether they want to take a step. Also, what if your friend failed due to the market's sudden volatility? Will you be ready to take the blame?

When I tell people about investing I make sure they know about it from all angles.
We can't force people to invest in Bitcoin but we can convince them to invest with good explanation about how it works. Investing in Bitcoin takes good understanding about how the market works or else one might lose interest especially when the market starts making bear movement that can makes the price to fall. Understanding the crypto market should be next after good explanation of what Bitcoin is and it capabilities.

Bitcoin is good and has transformed many people financially who believe in it. Those who are benefiting from bitcoin can't hide the goodness of bitcoin to themselves,  people need to know the truth that the traditional currency (fiat) can't  add any value especially when money is been saved in the bank for a long time.
One important thing we mostly don't do whenever we preach bitcoin to our friends , we fail to make them understand the tough part of bitcoin  when it goes dip which results to the loss of some bitcoin at the moment.

We forget to tell them investing in bitcoin also need patience to wait for the market to rise during the dip, all they think about is if they should start investing things will go smoothly and it' will be all about more  gains.
It is better to tell friends and family about bitcoin properly to know the good side and bad side of bitcoin,  so  that if they pick interest to invest in bitcoin and eventually meet the tough side of bitcoin their wont be anyone to put the blame on.

It will be nice to tell people about bitcoin,  but not to force/pressure them to invest , because if investing goes wrong sometimes it is funny to see the reactions of people when money is loss, the loss of money is a case that has ended many good friendship and misunderstanding between family members.

Right on the money! Proper education of not just yourself, but others around you, will significantly improve the chances of crypto becoming more acceptable and understandable to the mass population. Investing comes as a byproduct of knowledge and faith in the project as a whole. But, when people see others shooting lasers from their eyes, shouting 'when Lambo' and flaunting their riches publically, they think they can do the same fairly easily. I think that type of behavior undermines the efforts that the community is trying to push forward.

Im not saying it could happened but anything is possible when huge money is involved.

This is unfortunately true, and I know of many examples of very close friends and relatives being caught robbing their friends and relatives with whom they were on good terms. I remember one example from my country when the owner defended himself from the burglars who attacked him, shot one of the attackers and when he took off his mask he was shocked, he killed his brother's son who was in his house the day before.

Things have changed completely since the BTC was worth tens and hundreds of $ and no one really cared about it, until today when even having 1 BTC means you have a value of almost $50 000, which in my country is the amount for which a worker with a minimum wage earns in about 10 years, and I do not live in a third world country (although it sometimes seems so) but in a prosperous EU.

What about your own safety and the safety of your family if some local criminals only suspect that you are storing a significant amount of BTC?
This is also what Im thinking before telling others about it. There may come a time that you disclose your btc holding to some of your friends since you well caught up with their interest and this is quite dangerous, since we never kniw the kindest guy you knew is the one wholl eventually have hidden agenda for your bitcoin. Im not saying it could happened but anything is possible when huge money is involved.

I personally don't ever tell anyone to "invest" in bitcoin. In fact I intentionally avoid using the term whenever I speak about it and even if someone mentions it I would guide them away from "investing" in bitcoin because I believe bitcoin is a currency and should be treated as such. To beginners it should be seen as THE decentralized censorship resistant currency then the increasing value of this currency should be the secondary incentive.

That way you'll educate people who understand the technology and can see the potential on their own. Automatically that means they won't panic each time there is some FUD feeding them lies and causing some temporary drop.

Putting them under pressure gives no help but instead, it was a burden to them and they will blame us if they will lose. It should be their will and willingness, we let them make decisions, not us.
This!  This is the reason why I didn't even force anyone to adopt Bitcoin or invest in it without any of their knowledge because I know it's hard for them to understand how useful this technology is to us, I'm not telling first the profit because they might be chasing this without even understanding how volatile works.

Usually, I hate convincing people to invest in crypto, but showing them that I'm successful on it and letting them first understand how it will work might be a good step towards embracing this technology.

Back then 2018, how many scams have been reported because the number of crypto investors has been increased without proper knowledge of it.

Why coerce someone into what they have no interest in! Knowing full well that when people get involved into something through the use of force or pressure they end up putting the whole blame on you well it didn't worked out well instead of seeing things from the other perspective, like, what if it had worked out well.

To me it's more preferable to introduce the cryptocurrency investment to you apparently as I can, and leave the choice of investing or not to you.
So as to avoid blame games.

Our role is to help people to understand the nature of the market and change their minds about thinking Bitcoin is a scam thing, a Ponzi scheme. To enlighten them and share good ideas is enough for them to understand and possibly encourages them to invest. This is the best way to help them decide to invest and interested in knowing more about Bitcoin.

Regardless of the good intentions that someone has, I have learned from personal experience that it is not very desirable to promote Bitcoin in a way that we talk about it to our friends and acquaintances, and even less to strangers. There are several reasons why this is not desirable, and I will only look at those that I consider particularly important.

I think it is wrong to tell people about Bitcoin only from the aspect of profit (buy low, sell high), because Bitcoin was primarily created as a currency and if we are already talking about Bitcoin, then it should definitely be emphasized. Furthermore, if we interfere in any way with someone's financial decisions, whether we like it or not, we become partly responsible for everything that happens next. Let everyone ask themselves what they will do when a friend knocks on his door and says that he lost everything he invested in Bitcoin, just because you told him about it.

What about your own safety and the safety of your family if some local criminals only suspect that you are storing a significant amount of BTC?

Little correction, dip does not make you lose bitcoin, it rather make the Fiat equivalent of your bitcoin to reduce.
To those who are not very familiar with crytocurrency it seems to be loss especially when their is no patience to wait for the market price to rise, at this point when the market is dip the only option in the mind of beginners is to sell the coin because of fear of going dipper. Not every beginner understands dip is not losing a coin.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
It is good to give anyone sincere information whether pleasant or not and allow the person to make right choices. I see no reason why I should force someone to invest when it is not a pyramid scheme or referral marketing.
I know half baked information cause big problems when an investment goes wrong. It is scam projects that hides information about their projects but in bitcoin there is nothing to it. Bitcoin is simply volatile like other cryptocurrencies.

Well, this is true not only of Bitcoin, but of any investment. No matter how good you think it is, never pressure anyone to invest as well. Friendships break up and family members stop talking over things like that.

I think the best thing to do is to gradually incite curiosity. You can introduce Bitcoin sporadically, and it is normal that the first reaction is not to pay much attention to it, especially if it is sideways or there is a downturn in the market. But as time goes by and the person you have spoken to sees that Bitcoin still exists, that the long-term price trend is upwards, that more and more public and private institutions are adopting it, and even that he or she is starting to hear about it from other friends and family members, that person will start to get curious about it.

Whether she ends up investing or not is a very personal decision but I think this is the best way to inform her about Bitcoin by inciting her curiosity.

It is too hard telling people about Bitcoin actually, moreover if the people have their own thought about Bitcoin, mostly the negative sides and weaknesses.
Telling Bitcoin to certain people is needed when we are in such kind of open discussion, or if someone is exactly asking to us, or in some occasions where we need to explain little bit about Bitcoin.

It will be nice to tell people about bitcoin,  but not to force/pressure them to invest , because if investing goes wrong sometimes it is funny to see the reactions of people when money is loss, the loss of money is a case that has ended many good friendship and misunderstanding between family members.
This is right. Never invite people to join you or follow your ways in investing in Bitcoin. Because the risk is too high. Sometimes, people will not want to know about the risks of Bitcoin investment. Their focus is only on the profit probabilities that they can get. Once they cannot get the profits or moreover their assets are decreasing, they will be enough and disappointed in Bitcoin, moreover in us who told them to invest.
Except hat they come to us, ask to us about Bitcoin investment and they want to invest based on their own willingness. We need to also tell them and make them understand about the risk and profit probabilities, and how the Bitcoin investment work.
indeed, in fact telling people about bitcoin is very difficult, especially if it is to people who are not our family.
I only dare to tell about this bitcoin only to trusted families and a few neighbors who ask.
because sometimes when we explain bitcoin to people who just heard it then it will bring excessive prejudice. whether it's negative or positive but mostly negative prejudice. small example: there is a neighbor of mine who works every day trading bitcoin. and this neighbor of mine got rich from bitcoin. but do you know what the other neighbors are pointing at this one neighbor. they accuse it of gambling or the result of something mystical or magical. I also explained a little to another neighbor that the neighbor who became rich did not do anything bad or bad to make his money. but he trades bitcoins. and I also explain as little and as short as possible about bitcoin. but most of them find it difficult to accept this new knowledge that is bitcoin. but at least now their assessment has changed a bit to not be too bad after viral on television, namely artists who plunged into the world of bitcoin.

When I tell people about investing I make sure they know about it from all angles.
It is supposed not to force anyone. It is their well to invest, not because someone did influence them. In fact, some of my friends know I was in crypto and I don't encourage them to follow what I did. Because those who want to invest will certainly ask and keep asking how but if they don't, I simply don't bother myself to tell them either.

We have to avoid being blamed because of their losses and because of their mistakes. Let them understand that before investing they also know the possible results and difficulties to encounter in order for them to decide or just forget it.

As this market is full of uncertainty, it is indeed hard to advise someone to invest on this market. Good if someone is willing to listen, but you need to make sure that he knows the consequences of getting into this market. Because you can't assure that his strategy will work or not, depending on the coin that he's about to get involved with. If they are serious about investing on this market, they will also dig facts on their own, and study the market.

like all other people said bitcoin is new technology that everyone will take time to discuss

but usually i tell my friend bitcoin is like usual bank or digital wallet ex. paypal or venmo but with changing price like gold usually they will understand
and yes we can see other people get rich from bitcoin or made money out of thin air (*this the reason why people got curious at first place)

but tell them bitcoin is highly volatile way more volatile than any other investment instrument so please tell them to know the risk like "your money can gone forever and scam is everywhere" and invest in crypto is high risk so if they cant afford money to lose better learn it first

but its funny. now my brothers are more reliable than me.

Tbh if I am going to explain about Bitcoin to someone, I will tell them how it works, what exactly it is and its purpose, the price of it in terms of dollars shouldn't affect the intrinsic value Bitcoin already has due to its purpose and advantages, but yeah, to tell them that this investment is very risky and to invest just for growing funds in short time, it's nothing but gambling, that caution should be taken.

Why would you even force anyone to invest in Bitcoin when you should know of its volatility as a participant in the market yourself. The only good you can do for them is telling them about the industry and it's left for them to take the final decision. In the future they won't be having the excuse of not hearing about the currency when it becomes more established/adopted. Also in your attempt of telling them, make them see the advantage with your lifestyle as people tend to believe what they see than what they hear.

Not advising on living an expensive lifestyle just to proof your point but instead living a life of purpose, been self aware of your finances etc will definitely draw people into wanting to know more. It will be more easier teaching if interest were first initiated by them instead of you

In my personal opinion and experience, I also wouldn't dare to just advise them to invest in crypto, let alone suggest with sweet promises. This is very risky, especially if the results are not what we promised. So then we will be the ones to blame.
We only need to provide initial knowledge and also various ways for those who really ask us and want to learn. So let's not be the first to start.

I have seen many people who are involved because of hype and most of them are losing a lot of money. And what happen next is that they blame everyone who suggest about this and they blame crypto itself.

In the case when some of them has no idea about any of these concepts, just try to start telling it briefly:
As you know, bitcoin is a decentralized form of money.
It is quite similar to PayPal.
It is not regulated or controlled by any government.
It is not issued by banks.
You can use this bitcoin to purchase goods, services, or send money.
...

But you should never push them to invest if they do not wish to participate. To be frank, if they have no idea and they are not interested to understand all these new words, don’t expect that they will take it seriously and want to join.

There is no compulsion for someone to invest in cryptocurrency because we ourselves will accept the risk. Although investing in cryptocurrencies is profitable but we also must not forget that there is also a risk in it. that is why it is important to give understanding to people before join into the crypto world because most of them tend to expect profits without knowing the risks that can be obtained if not careful. there are so many incidents where people join the crypto world because they are tempted by the success of others without having sufficient knowledge. as a result, many of them also suffer losses and blame crypto because it is considered that crypto is detrimental.

It is found reasonable to tell and educate people about crypto but never be an option to force them to invest.
Why?
1. They will blame you back once they fail and lose
2. Investing should be well-prepared
3. Willingness

To avoid unnecessary misunderstandings, we have to wait for their decision. Likely, we have to give them time to think and prepare themselves.

Forced investment on crypto never ends well.

1. Those you force will want quick results.
2. It's a scam if they lose money.
3. You lose your reputation if things go wrong.
4. Crypto is a scam will be their new Anthem.

Show them the way and let them make decisions themselves, tell them about the risk involved too.

Agree with you, when I introduce someone with Bitcoin first of all I introduce potential volatility. So that in the event of a dip they shouldn't blame me directly. It's because I am not part of their benefits or loss. They have to carry losses or profits as well. So there shouldn't be any misunderstanding. We should explain in detail what would happen near future to avoid any trouble. No, we shouldn't force anyone to invest, we can suggest whatever they could afford to lose. Otherwise, during the dip they will give is panic.

Any investment is definitely good especially if you plan on HODLing it long-term. Even investing into blue chip companies in stocks can yield you profitable results if you really plan on just HODLing them. But you are definitely right, forcing someone to invest into something may yield into catastrophic results especially if they do not know what they are investing on.

I remember back in the last quarter of 2017, the price of BTC skyrocketed from $5,000 to $18,000 in a matter of months. People were forced to invest and lots of threads were telling everyone to invest. After the first quarter of 2018, the price crashed and went down to around $3,000.

That is why, you can tell people your success stories on investing into cryptocurrencies but the final decision to invest should be theirs.

I personally do not even try to convince people to buy Bitcoin. If a person does show interest, I crawl the internet looking for educative posts or videos which explains how it works as simply as possible and send this to them. Many people who have asked me about bitcoin do not pass this stage, this shows they were never willing to read or do any form of research. If they do happen to pass this stage, I then introduce them to the forum and answer any questions they may have.
You find it easier to communicate when the other party is genuinely interested.

The burden of investment lies on whoever is risking their capital, and they should not be coerced into doing that.

Rockstarguy, you're absolutely right.
I have been making money online for many years and many times I have been inspired by some projects like mlm or revshare, that I have often invited my friends to get involved and make some money.
It would often end badly and my friends would accuse me and hold me responsible for losing their money.
So at the beginning I don't mention crypto to anyone, but only if someone asks me what I do or directly asks for advice on where to invest money.
At the same time, I always warn them that crypto is risky and that they first investigate everything well and don't invest money that they can't afford to lose.

Whew, that's what I did. I invested my money and I lost everything I had and then some (but I learned a lot from the experience so it was worth it). So, I would advise everyone to be very careful and do their own research first before investing in anything. There are so many scams out there and people who do not have your best interest at heart. The crypto world is still the Wild Wild West. There is a ton of money to be made, and a ton of trouble that comes along with it as well.

Now, when someone asks me if they should buy this coin or that coin, I always tell them to do their research and make sure they understand what they're doing. No investment is a guaranteed win. However, with the right diligence and common sense, it is possible to get into these digital currencies and turn a profit in the long run. It really comes down to following the right set of guidelines and having a plan before you get started.

Sometimes I see greed and an ability to earn higher rewards through a referral program as a reason why most people got to be introduced into Bitcoin,  because just as we know that we have got good Bitcoin exchanges with a very attractive referral bonus, which has made the referral forget the need for prior knowledge and understanding of the referre

So if only we could be patient enough to not just introduce people, but educate them about Bitcoin, the community will be a wonderful one.

With this new age, you don't need to tell anyone about bitcoin because most people in average age heard about it already no matter how they understand it. As time and interest grows, educating themselves will be next in line and invest if they tske the risk.

In any way, you can't force someone to invest especially if you don't have any contribution on someone's financial stand, even on stocks or any business firms.

Telling them about Bitcoin and educating them about it are different.

Education is key to change people mind, approach and investment decisions. It is not easy if your targeted people are old enough because they are less adaptive to new technology and Bitcoin, blockchain are likely unable to be digested for elderly.

Yes you are right telling them and educating them may be two different thing,  I think telling them is the first thing which will make the person to have interest in bitcoin or not, if the person finds it interesting that is when education comes,. But educating one about bitcoin happens if the person decides and makes choice to have education in bitcoin. people go after education.

How can one even force another to buy Bitcoin, there is quite a lot of risks inherent in the network that if you do something like that, chances are very high sooner or later you'll be blamed by your 'newly converted' investors when there is a correction/dip/plunge or generally anything that causes them to worry about their funds.

Having said that, research is integral in the Bitcoin network, thus whenever you want to talk to someone about Bitcoin, the best you can do is to provide such individual with materials of different sorts: Books, videos, links etc, for them to go and read about Bitcoin and then make their own personal decision, if they come back to you in the affirmation, then you can go ahead and assist them in Buying their first Bitcoin, pointing out to them which wallet to use or not to use, etc, but the most important point remains that their decision on the network must stem from doing their own personal research, not you trying so hard to convince them. Just as satoshi said:

I have been making money online for many years and many times I have been inspired by some projects like mlm or revshare, that I have often invited my friends to get involved and make some money.
It would often end badly and my friends would accuse me and hold me responsible for losing their money.
So at the beginning I don't mention crypto to anyone, but only if someone asks me what I do or directly asks for advice on where to invest money.
At the same time, I always warn them that crypto is risky and that they first investigate everything well and don't invest money that they can't afford to lose.

It will be nice to tell people about bitcoin,  but not to force/pressure them to invest , because if investing goes wrong sometimes it is funny to see the reactions of people when money is loss, the loss of money is a case that has ended many good friendship and misunderstanding between family members.
These days, as a result of the numerous Ponzi schemes that have been orchestrated in the past, people always get suspicious whenever you seem to add a little pressure to try to convince them to involve themselves in anything online or digital that involves money. I won't blame them.

Sometimes there's no need to tell until you are asked, the evidence should show in your finances and your general standard of living so much that someone who is close will develop an interest in what you do, and will like to know if they can get involved. Telling someone then that you invest in bitcoins and they can get involved too, explaining to them that it is no get rich quick scheme but a certain way to achieve financial freedom with proper strategy, is sure to get them to invest or want to invest in bitcoins without pressure, you have aroused their interest.

Yes I concur with you on this, when introducing anything especially anything that has to do with money investment like Bitcoin to anyone we should do well to emphasize more on  the difficult part of it more than the juicy part of it.

We shouldn't Force anyone to invest, it's better for that person to indicate interest by his or her self, this shows that the person or that individual understand the basic concept of the investment especially the risk aspect.

Yeah, I agree with that. Let people know about it but don't shove it in their face. Let them realize that they want to learn about it and then teach them how to buy it. You don't want people to be like, "Okay, I got a bitcoin, so what now?" That's what they should figure out for themselves.

Teach them how to buy it for the first time. I think that's really important. But, don't get too intense in your information and just give them an overview. They should be able to come to their own conclusions.

Thats a reasonable thing to do particularly with people you know well and obviously
with family members. The trick is to be able to explain what Bitcoin is in an easy
to understand manner and of course what Bitcoin can offer in this current economic
climate where inflation is increasing globally.

We all know that Bitcoin is generally a long game or long term investment however
many ordinary working class people are unable to consider the benefits of Bitcoin
coupled with a long term investment. They would be more inclined to bank on the
traditional FIAT structures of Mortgages and pensions.

All we can do is spread the word and let those people investigate further if they
want to do so.

God is great
Bitcoin is good and has transformed many people financially who believe in it.
