I think this post from hilariousetc answers it:
You give people an inch and they want a mile.
It means that if things get worse, with loads of appeal for reduced sentence after turning from Permanent ban to temporary and signature ban, I guess theymos might do hard, to revert all reduced sentences back to original (permanent bans). Just kidding, but I think that users whom already received reduced sentences should not ask for too much and make things worse.

Maybe it's just karma.....

Comparing the trust system to masturbation probably didn't help your case, but I agree with others - you're lucky it's not a permaban.

The purpose of an appeal is to find out why you were banned and to try and receive a reversal or reduced punishment.
Still no response from mod/admin regarding reduce of punishment. That's why it should not be locked.

I found this posted by Nutildah in your lending thread, have you received notice that your ban is for 60 days?

I can confirm that the ban period is for 60 days.

I'm inclined to agree with LoyceV and Steamtyme: Considering the offence was only a year old, you're lucky it wasn't a permanent ban.  It's commendable that you acknowledged your mistake, but to continue pushing for a reduction to the reduced punishment is a bit presumptuous.  We all know how seriously plagiarism is taken here, and I think it's time to accept your punishment.

they were given the advice to request a few days to send PM's.
Where you found this?

Can  send PM to the forum member from this account or it is also ban evasion?
I've seen one member so far be given the weekend to sort out some of their PM's before serving their Ban. So I would take QS's suggestion and send one PM to theymos, and maybe include hilarious as they seem to be most active on administering these reduced sentences.

The response is that you are not permabanned, and are acting extremely entitled in assuming that they will take the time to respond further. There are a lot of accounts out there that are trying to be reviewed the first time and it appears disingenuous that you appreciate the leniency by continuing to seek a further reduction.

Its just happened a month earlier but global mod showed some mercy on him and only gave signature ban.Extremely lucky though.

Maybe his bump is for the lenders.

No this was from last year. The purpose of an appeal is to find out why you were banned and to try and receive a reversal or reduced punishment. That's already happened. People have already posted in the lending thread to notify anyone there, and they were given the advice to request a few days to send PM's.

Apart from that this thread should just be locked, as all actions have been taken. If they are legitimately asking for a less severe punishment than the gift already granted, then I'm at a loss.

Sorry for your trouble shasan, and I'm glad you're only temp-banned.  If you need someone to post in your lending thread on your behalf, I offer my help.
I may need but for now waiting for the response of any mod/admin.

I'm not sure why you're still bumping this, morvillz7z has shown your plagiarism, which means your ban is not a mistake. You're already in the "lucky" category with a temporary ban, and I don't think there's any chance of getting an early unban.
You'll have to wait this one out.
Yes, that mistake happen when I was a beginner and I saw on post that there might have some consideration base on the duration. I am bumping this thread so that mod/admin can see my case and then they may consider my case or not.
Also another consideration seen on:
I unbanned you and issued a year sig ban instead. I'll give you the weekend to reply to PMs then issue a 60 day ban (which is pretty much normal practice for plagiarism cases now).

When someone get a temporarily ban, for how long is it??

that's hilariousandco's answer on user thejaytiesto's ban appeal case
I'm more interested on the question asked by suchmoon in another thread about sig ban

Does the sig ban apply to alts as well? E.g. if the user already has existing high-rank alts.

And what's the policy on repeated offences? Or new reports on old offences?
imo, I think it should also applied to all alts, but lets hear it from mods or theymos on this matter
furthermore, a banned user may have alts which some may already known/exposed and some are unrevealed
would the ban become permanent if the user is found using a newly revealed old alt account to keep posting?

Its depend on moderators/admin. Perhaps they received (banned users) message or reflecting on their account. But seems mostly account for 60 days with 2 years signature ban for plagiarism (If plagiarism is very old) . Moderator decide it case by case regarding ban issue.

It will vary so far I think I've seen them be 60 days (might have been a 30 day as well) and a 1 or 2 year Signature Ban. I think they can be for whatever time frame, they just want it to be long enough to still serve as a punitive measure to avoid anyone repeating and send a message to others.

Apart from that understand the Ban is meant to remove all functionality of the forum for you apart from reading. This account's sole purpose is to post in this thread only for your appeal. Since that is the case I don't understand why you placed a link here in the sig space.

It wasn't me reporting your account, only checked the first couple of pages and got a match, not sure this is the post you were reported and banned for:

I'm so glad the allocation for content campaign is so great, it's such a regrettable thing to miss. tomorrow I will make some content to explain this project and make an article about FAQ.

It might be the reason for the ban. I just saw it was made at the beginning on the post on bitcointalk. Anyway, yes I am guilty for this either I am banned for it or not.

Ohh! Suchmoon!

You can do the the honor of revealing that post and end the suspense for the OP.

Ironically, most user plagiarized the content of the OP lending thread, Is there possibility if reporting is done inaccurately?

Anything is possible, for example Alice makes a post, Bob copies it, then Alice makes a similar post and gets reported for copying from Bob if for some reason Alice's original post is no longer available/searchable/etc.

But I think that's extremely unlikely in this case, note the dates on the posts and the use of "tomorrow".

If you do this likely you will get ban this account also. Sending PM will only know you send to whom, so they might report for ban evasion and obviously you will get ban. Because your previous account got ban including sending PM. So no doubts you will got permaban. LoyceV already posted on your thread so everyone already know about this thead. Just stay cool and try to contact by other media.
