Trust is a joke in this forum .
That's an extremely self-serving comment, and not one I'd take particularly seriously.  Nor should anyone else.  You want sMerit to advance your own purposes, whatever they are, and not because you give two shits about bitcointalk.  You'd either sell it or send it to your alts if you were made a merit source.  As stated, your chances are infinitesimal of becoming one--so just give it up.  You'll be doing yourself and this entire community a favor by doing so.

Lauda isn't the only one who gave you negative feedback, either.  I and a few others did as well, so that argument holds no water.

I have said this multiple times that trust system is the only thing that sucks else this forum is the best and I will stick to it no matter what . Yes it is true that Lauda is not only the one , morons like you followed her for your "OWN" purposes and now look at your own ratings . I am going to lock this thread to save my time as morons will be here forever .

I am surprised too and I confirm that it is a coincidence. I am damn sure that the guy is a supporter of mine .

Merit is not for you
And you are no one to decide it !

Well I really can't support you as a Merit source
I don't need that either .

I don't think Lauda is a trust abuser
Then you certaily don't know her .

There's enough evidence against you for rallying up the spammers to bump ICOs
And you did not see my answers . One day when you will need acceleration services, you will know its value . As I said, you are no one to decide what I deserve .

Well I really can't support you as a Merit source but you have my thanks on tagging those who deserves some Merit Points, also I dont think Lauda is a trust abuser because if she/he is, he/she will also have many negative trust on her/his portfolio or account and be reported to theymos immediately... I think he/she has his/her reasons why it was given to you, the negative trust. If you didnt achieve being a Merit Source then so be it, try your best shot on gaining and earning Merits so that you can also help the others. NO NEED TO RUSH MATE. Those threads can wait for their Merits so just calm yourself and accept the fact that you have a negative trust for some reason.

While  I was reading the whole conversation from this thread, it feels Like OP, is not wanting to receive merit(s) to be a "merit source" it turns like the conversation was running to a reputation convo. LOL. to OP, it doesn't matter how you long for receiving merits, if you yourself don't listen to other's opinion and stay cool as what you feel like, then Merit is not for you. Luckily you got some. so be proud of it. always remember, the more information you acquire the more understanding you should apply. Make it Roll.

I don't think infographics is necessary to understand how merit system works. All stuffs have been mentioned in the OP written by Theymos, forum admin. Users who really want to learn and contribute to the forum should spend their time to read the OP (as the link sncc provided in his/ her thread). If they are too lazy to spend a couple of minutes to read, that means they are likely not able to contribute anything to the forum (because even with important things, they don't want to spend time to read, so I doubt they will spend more time to compose constructive threads to help forum users).
Ehh, some people don't have English as their first language so I can get why they prefer an infographic in comparison to walls of text and wouldn't really blame them. But the fact that they didn't do the research first and then apply is what really irks me really.

Right, while I also agree that it is hard to reduce the number of users who do not research, the infographics do help people understand the system, especially for ESL people as you say.  Theymos also thought that infographic is necessary and asked forum members to make it:

The forum ranking system is a bit complicated now... It'd be nice if someone made an infographic explaining activity and merit.

Are you a witch? Saying I know your purpose without knowing the person. Under construction means not yet finished but soon. It sounds the author was so excited to post his idea.  Whatever will be, I hope it will be fine soon.

A newbie which has never posted before comes and defends a completely random dude, coincidence much?  Roll Eyes

Given the fact that he has already applied in the Merit Source request thread (the one collecting all the applications which Theymos is using currently) and that he's already posted his 10 then it's pretty clear that he's the thread's largely completed. Not to mention the fact that the dude was point out about how OP's supposed to be literally every single thing under the sun so if he was actually a competent worker who did all the work mentioned in his description then he wouldn't have enough time to be a merit source in the first place.

There are two types of mertis: Merit and sMerit.  Merit is necessary for rank up, and sMerit is different thing, only for sending it to other users.  A certain number of sMerits is provided every month for merit sources to give them to other users, but Merits are not provided automatically.  See infographic below (https://i.imgur.com/TER5lGX), full version is here.

Cheesy . Trust is a joke in this forum . Trust from Lauda ? An insane person who is a trust abuser ? And from ibminer ? Who has no idea what is going on ? These morons deserve hell .
@sncc , I liked your post . I did not know I also receive 1/2 smerit when someone sends me a merit .

You do not understand how the merit system works and you wan't to be a merit source? Smiley

Do not understand ? What is about understanding it ? Is it some rocket science to take care of ? Btw, To have smerits and to credit it to someone who needs it you do not really have to understand it fully .

Are you joking or this is for real? one of your ten posted links leads to a trashcanned topic. one lol. another links to a guide on how to write smart contracts.

I strongly feel you are another moron but thanks for pointing out the missing link , I will update it .

Are you joking or this is for real? one of your ten posted links leads to a trashcanned topic. one lol. another links to a guide on how to write smart contracts. helping uneducated scammers to post ANN threads every day. one links to a self moderated thread( puzzle, giving away $1 and 1 merit) somebody is  generating 2-4 posts for 1 merit, that account is like that it was registered to contribute to the merit system a.k.a farming merits you are calling it a nice topic to learn about Bitcoin two lols. HOW TO MINIMISE FEES, a topic on signature campaigns. three lols. other links to merit threads. one links to a news about a death. seven lols in a row.

Would you like to become a source with 2 sMerits every 30 days? you have contributed to the community by accelerating transactions for a tip. now you are insulting respected members. insulting theymos by calling the trust system a nonsense.

~snip~

There's enough evidence against you for rallying up the spammers to bump ICOs and the trust is clearly warranted. I feel you clearly do not deserve to be a merit source given your history. Not to mention your sent ratings include negative rating for not tipping. Really? You use a free tx acceleration service to bump txs which takes like half a minute or less if you have an automated script to do it and you send negatives for a tips. Not cool dude.

-smerit-
I hope I will receive some merits as a merit source .

You will not receive any merit point as a source. You will simply receive Smerit to give to others for their constructive posts...
Wrong way.

Edit : Negative trust also... Odds~0

No, this is not true there are more than thousands that deserves merits but they can't credited as a merit.
The difference is that you only saw the post of a particular topic. The some of the quality posts are buried down.
The merit system is not only running on the quality post, it is the mixture of your luck, timing, quality, and informative
Some posts do have qualiry but don't have the required by the members of the forum.

Quote from: from ibminer
Admits to having over 30 accounts ready to be paid for shill bumping. I would not trust this account.

Quote from: from Lauda
Accounts connected: abhinav_thakur01 (uuid = 924626), abhishek.g (uuid= 665701) and many others. This user is a chronic:
1) Troll.
2) Ban evader.
3) Liar.
4) Trust abuser.
5) Trust farmer.
6) Cheater (the acceleration service is a joke at best, and he does not allow the mention of any other, reputable, acceleration service)

Avoid like the plague.

Hmm...
