Finally it was a win for Cameron Norrie in the Rio Open final match. From the first set the fight have begun and Alcaraz won the set 7-5. The second one was a win for Cameron Norrie winning 6-4, once again Cameron Norrie have won the third set 7-5 after good fight. As you've mentioned this match isn't a walkover and have outlawed the prediction of Alcaraz winning the trophy.
Really a surprising result because it is Alcaraz's favorite surface, in the previous tournament Alcaraz was able to beat Norrie with a convincing score and from the results of the tournament no one thought that Norrie would be able to avenge his defeat on clay tournament, watch Alcaraz highlights seemed pretty certain to get this title because the second set he was already 3-0 up but everything changed and it was amazing comeback from Norrie, what was interesting in the third set was that Alcaraz served under arm and it was good that Norrie was able to get a point from that.

Alcaraz was 1.21 yesterday, Norrie was 4.5!

Nobody was giving Norrie a chance, I thought myself that Alcaraz was back to old form
after winning the Argentina open against Norrie.

Looks like these two are level ATM.

Did anyone have a bet on Norrie at those very healthy odds?

On the WTA side I just saw some interesting news this morning, In the Dubai Tennis
Championships Krejčíková beat Swiatek in the final, what looks to be quite easily.
4-6, 2-6. That sends a clear message that Swiatek is beatable.

Alcaraz is secretly back in the final of the tournament in Rio De Janairo. Especially in the last set (6-0) he made mincemeat of his opponent, the qualifier Nicolas Jarry. Britain's Cameron Norrie awaits in the final, against whom he also played in the final last week in Buenos Aires. I think another win for ALcaraz, but Norrie is also in the top 15 in the world from memory so it won't be a walk over. At the moment a perfect comeback from Alcaraz after his injury last year.

Have you guys seen the odds for Nadal in the French Open? He is currently $3.50 and the third favourite behind Alcaraz and Novak.

That is crazy. If Nadal is healthy he wins the French Open 100%.

Let's be realistic, Nadal has been injured for a long time and has not been playing at the highest level for some time.
Even when he was playing at the highest level and fully healthy, Nadal was losing matches to Djokovic in Paris so this prediction is not wrong, Djokovic is deservedly the favorite to win that GS.
It is also no coincidence that Alcaraz has been at the top of the tennis rankings for so long and he is the obvious successor to Nadal.
A very uncertain GS awaits us in Paris and I would say that the chances of winning the tournament are equal between these three biggest favorites, with maybe a slight advantage for Nadal if he will be fully healthy and ready.

With over 2 months yet to go before the French GS Its too early to be talking Nadal.
Maybe odds of 3.5 are worth a $2 bet now but I wouldnt be too confident especially
with the form Djokovic is in, and Medvedev being a bit of s threat and Alcaraz returning
to form.

Man, what can you expect from a person who won the Roland Garros whopping 14 times! He's a living legend. Even if he'd go blind and had his hands tied behind his back his odds would still be high.  Grin

Jokes aside, I seriously believe he can win it for the 15th time! All he needs is good health and a little bit of luck (favorable draw etc).

Alcaraz seems to have a difficult match in Brazil against a Chilean tennis player. He was 5-3 down and his opponent was allowed to serve for a set win, but he couldn't and now it's 5-4. Due to time difference, many people will not or will not be able to follow this match. Nice to see that ALcaraz is active again, he has now dropped to 2nd place on the ATP ranking list, he has been overtaken by Djokovic. But he has also earned it through his recent tournament victories. It seems that the clay court season has started again in certain countries? There are countries where they only play on clay, of course.

it was an hard battle for sure. the first set Jarry was seriously impressive and able to win "any kind of point" with a first service devastating. Personally I have seen just an option.. and a good chance for placing bets on Alcaraz as match winner  (odds up to @1.80 and later on the second set even @2.20).
It seems also he was not in a perfect shape and several times he received kind of physiotherapy ...
On third set Jarry was completely done. No playing at all... really easy for Alcaraz win 6-0 (impossible result if you have seen the first set...)

Alcaraz came back after losing 6:7, he won second set 7:5 and left opponent with a bagel (6:0) in third to secure his spot in the final. The final will be the encore of the Argentina Cup final against Cam Norrie. Honestly, I think Carlos has quite good chances of winning it.  Cool

I wonder for the final between Alcaraz v Norrie is a bet on Norrie on? the odds on Rollbit
are Alcaraz 1.2 v Norrie 4.5, I dont think there is as much between them as the odds suggest.

Well done to Medvedev on his second season win, well done to Murray too, I didnt
think he would have made it to the final. This will spur him on in his thinking he can
win a tournament again.

So, Medvedev won another title today in Doha. Pretty predictable if you ask me. Murray was good but there's a huge gap between him and a much younger Medvedev (in form, performance, pretty much everything).

Ladies in Dubai were not that predictable though: Krejcikova defeated Swiatek in straight sets. What a surprise and perfect tennis by Barbora! Swiatek continues to surprise! Out of form? conditioning issues? lack of motivation? injury?  Huh

Medvedev continues his amazing run and finally is in form like before and he is back into top 10 really fast. If he continues like this he can maybe win a big title soon. Also sad that Murray still cannot win a title after playing really good the entire tournament.
Last week was good for Medvedev. Last Sunday he won the ATP Rotterdam title winning against Jannik Sinner comfortably after losing the first set 5-7 and further won the two sets 6-2 6-2. In the same week he have won the next title on the Qatar Open winning against one of the legendary player Andy Murray 6-4 6-4. With the win he have advanced on the ranking table and now it is time for the Dubai Open match between Medvedev and Djokovic.

Murray played well, but something lagged and it wasn't easy identical. Medvedev had the normal game and nothing looked to be very good. Recorded the direct set win to lift the trophy. Nothing to say as an extraordinary play from both of them.

Swiatek losing against Barbora is simply unexpected. The young lady Swiatek is dominating the Women's tennis for long and now she had turned out of form. Even in the previous match she was good to defeat Coco Gauff 6-4 6-2 and in the same manner Swiatek got defeated against Barbora in the final.

Right now Lehecka is playing against Murray. Both of them have won one set each. And right now in the third set, Murray has the advantage. It is still not sure who is going to win.
I missed this match only to see the live score in the third set and Murraywas behind but he was able to save a few match points before finally being able to equalize the score and win this tight 3 set match, in the final he will face Medvedev who also beat the FAA, Murray has yet to win a meeting with his opponent in the final but it could be a close match and Murray could well be in for the title, but the odds favor Medvedev by far.

Daniil Medvedev - Felix Auger Aliassime

Daniil Medvedev who currently occupies the number 8 position in the ATP and who has already reached the number one opposition in the world comes to this game as the favorite and also in my opinion he is the favorite to win this tournament, he has already beaten Liam Broady without having any difficulty, and then beat Christopher O'Connel, but unexpectedly he had difficulties to beat Christopher O'Connel, maybe that's why for this game against Felix Auger Aliassime the odds for Medvedev are at @ 1.40, on the other hand, his opponent Felix Auger Aliassime currently occupies position 9 of the ATP and was in a better position last year when he occupied position number 6, so far Felix Auger Aliassime has managed to beat Jason Kubler and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, a curiosity and that Daniil Medvedev eliminated Felix Auger Aliassime at the ATP 500 in Rotterdam

ATP Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Men Singles

Carlos Alcaraz - Dusan Lajovic

Carlos Alcaraz, who occupies the ATP number 2 position, having achieved a better position last year, arrives for this game very confident of victory, this season he has not yet been overcome by any opponent, he has beaten all opponents that crossed his path, he won Mateus Alves and Fabio Fognin in which he had some difficulties, meanwhile his opponent Dusan Lajovic who takes him to position number 80, his best position was position 23, he managed to beat Diego Schwartman and Laslo Djere. something curious is that he was eliminated in the ATP 250 in Buenos Aires by Alcaraz. I see Alcaraz winning this game

Alcaraz continues to dominate over Serbian players for the second time in two weeks he defeated Lajovic and now is one step closer to winning his second tournament in a row. Also Medvedev will have a hard match against Murray in the final and i think this is the perfect chance for Murray to finally win a tournament.

Murray v Rublev - im not betting on this one, Rublev can be very unpredictable, but can be
really good. It will be interesting but really I dont expect Murray to progress.
This match went as I thought. Rublev was the better player in this match. In both sets, he showed great performance. Murray made some mistakes that were too costly for him in the end. I had my doubts from the start Murray. And as expected Rublev was the one to progress.

Murray vs Rublev is actually going to be much more interesting. Rublev is the one for me to win this match. Of course, there is no 100% chance that he's going to win. I assume that this match is going to be much more competitive compared to the Medvedev one.
And unfortunately this won't happen especially in this tournament because Rublev lost to Jiri Lehecka in 3 sets, so the first semifinal will face Murray vs Lehecka and Medvedev vs FAA, and the final will be very interesting if Medvedev vs Murray or Murray vs FAA, but the first option seems more likely to occur because the FAA has so far not been able to get past Medvedev in any of their meetings.
Rublev was looking good after a win against Murray. But then he lost against Lehecka. I actually had better expectations from Rublev. I thought he was going to win this match. That did not happen. Rublev actually had the upper hand at the start of this match. He did win the first set. But after that, it was a good comeback from Lehecka.

Right now Lehecka is playing against Murray. Both of them have won one set each. And right now in the third set, Murray has the advantage. It is still not sure who is going to win.
