I think Tesla and Elon Musk don't really accept bitcoin and Doge payments for their cars. Elon Musk has always been in the spotlight of crypto investors. Elon Musk is known in social media circles as a major troll, making statements that could affect the price of bitcoin and Doge. Moreover, this is not the first time he has made a mess on social media. Since last year, he made a statement that received Dogecoin payments for his vehicles but then he canceled them.

It's doesn't matter though, bitcoin is already too big and not even one man like Elon Musk can stop it.

If he accept it like what he did before then good, if not we are going to be ok. And lately though, as far as I'm concern, he is no longer relevant to the bitcoin ecosystem.

Yes, he could have invested on it, but that's just it. We should move forward and totally forget about him.

If you guys read Elon’s tweets back early in the year there was Bitcoin devs who were telling him that Dogecoin is a useless cryptocurrency. And he was arguing with them back and forth. For some reason he had some attachment for Doge, no clue why.

He also said he would contact the devs and fix Dogecoin. No ideal if he was involved or not but the wallet did get some updates done to it. However before all this, the coin was pretty much dead and had little development.

**In BTC since 2013**
In a way you are right but at the same time the whole purpose of advertising is to try to convince people to buy your products, outside of this market I doubt too much attention is given to this news, so we need to wonder are there a lot of people buying a Tesla with their bitcoin or dogecoin as a result of this marketing strategy? Because I doubt it, Musk missed his chance for his Tesla cars to become a staple of this market when at first he began accepting bitcoin as a payment option only to take it away a few days later on completely ridiculous grounds.

But there is the strategy. They don't need people to buy with BTC or another currency, what they wanted is for the newspapers to talk about Tesla, because along with the news they will give other information about the company that is already of general interest.

Besides, they're talking about Tesla. And people keep the name/company alive in their minds. And this can help in future decision making when buying an electric car.

I'll give you an example of a new supermarket company in Portugal. Use a similar style:
They only have stores open in one region of the country, but every time they open a new store, the news of this opening is broadcast in the country's main media outlets nationwide. Along with this news, there is always an interview given by someone from the company, who says that the company has the objective of opening stores across the country.
What do you think will happen, when a store is announced, in a new part of the country? People have already heard so much about that supermarket that they will want to know about it.

So it does look like Tesla is still working on their crypto payment system.  I was surprised to see they updated the code on the page once this tweet was made.  I figured this was just hangover stuff from when they were playing around with accepting crypto.  It seems like maybe they're getting ready to open the floodgates again.  Hopefully just in time for the perfect December storm we see every 4 years.

I think the Doge stuff is a stunt and I couldn't care less about it, but I'd like to see Bitcoin being accepted.  In fact, I'd probably buy a model 3 next month if it were accepted (not that I'd get it anytime soon).

Didn't they already stop accepting bitcoin and said they will no longer do it until bitcoin mining becomes "green"? And the Doge payment thing also sounds like a stunt (or maybe true). I have heard someone found the code and the payment said "Shiba". People were starting to say that Tesla is doing this to manipulate the market and create speculation among people. Imagine people FOMOing on Doge and SHIB. That would pump the market and you know would would make all the profit and crash the market...

Buying car with cryptocurrencies, i think something like this already happen since past when we can see there are some car dealers which accept bitcoin as payment. Maybe Tesla doing this only to hype Shiba or maybe BTC or Dogecoin or any coin that they want to made it increase again. In sometimes ago we already see Tesla accept BTC too and it is not  the latest news that come.
Its their business then its their choice.! Cheesy

Doesnt matter on what coins they are tending to accept whether they do hyping it or not then its their choice to make but if we do think
and see on a bigger picture then we do know that having more coins the more better yet that would really be giving more options.
If you dont like on paying up with some meme coin then you could always opt for the main ones.

Elon's Tesla is still hungry for attention despite having much of it already. I don't understand them.

This is a great commercial/advertising strategy.
Whenever they appear in the news, they are being talked about and Tesla is being advertised. Even though it's not advertising.
Thus, the brand manages to save millions in marketing/advertising, because it only has to make it continue to be talked about in the media.

We will not know what is Elon plans with those two coins but he has already made a noise in the crypto market so I guess he will make another tweet in the future.
Those two coins now become popular besides bitcoin and ethereum but if we compare with bitcoin and doge payments, I think using bitcoin as the payment will be better.
Maybe we need to wait for the next announcement from Elon or Tesla for what coins they want to use as the payment.
But I do not want to buy Tesla using bitcoin, ethereum, or other coins as crypto will be just my investment.
I hope that he doesn't move to other coins as well because he is making the crypto world a lot fragile with what he has. I get that he is not doing it because he is just happy to do it, he is doing it because he gets love back from doing it plus he makes money from it as well. However just because he could help you make some money, doesn't mean that he wants the best for you neither, he is doing it because it helps him as well, he could literally be doing a lot worse things and still be happy as long as it benefits him.

Doge and Shiba are two things that could crash at any moment, or maybe they will do 2x, nobody knows this and there is absolutely no reason to hold them neither. This is why we should be a lot more careful with them, and him pumping it causes it to be a lot worse, this is why we should be a lot more careful, because him making it viral is dangerous for the future of crypto.

however, I'm curious as to what Elon Musk's goal was to make these two coins popular. as far as i think is, he's just messing around with those two coins.

Been a few days and nothing is confirmed yet. Maybe they are still implanting the software. So far if you follow that Twitter thread a few people called out the guy that posted it. Mostly because it was a new account and the address where he sent the doge was empty.

A few days later the guy posted a response. Saying that he wants to be anonymous and he sent the payments but it was to another doge address. The doge address in the photo expired but he got another one where he actually did send the funds. So to me it seems legit. Probably need to wait a few more weeks however.
Maybe Elon was the author of the fake news behind the anonymous profile to create some hype in crypto market, leading his public to not give up on doge and shiba inu after disappoiting some fans for not holding any shiba, even though he made some sympathetic jokes regards the altcoin in the past.

Anyway I don't think Tesla is going to accept these altcoins as payment method for real, because that just doesn't make sense if we think about any practical reason for this adoption. A big company doesn't accept a crypto currency as payment method just because it's funny. That would be ridiculous and useless as marketing, only reaching to a small bubble of fans, most of them poor people who don't even have money to buy a Tesla, as they are trying to join an altcoin get rich scheme promoted through jokes by the guru Elon Musk.

I think Tesla only takes advantage of free promotion by issuing testing a payment tool with SHIB. There is no special thing with meme coins like SHIB or Doge to be used as a payment tool. Truly a stupid idea if Tesla really wants to sell their products with SHIB or Doge. Elon Musk must know very well that those meme coins basically have no good standard as a promising crypto coin. So, what for having them? It only risks the financial of Tesla company. They probably will choose Bitcoin or Ethereum if they want to allow crypto as a payment tool for purchasing Tesla cars.

Wonder if someone will actually buy an entire Tesla vehicle paid for by Dogecoin.

I also doubt that.
This might be just another trick to get these meme coins hype up. I mean why would someone buy Tesla cars using these meme coins when they can actually hold them and wait for it to pump because once again Tesla and Elon are making noise about it.
Now, Elon is trying to make a relevant use case for this meme to buy his products because people are well aware of the fact that these meme coins has no real use cases.

Well that's probably new because to be honest i never heard such information wherein i though they only accept bitcoin or just a survey? Actually base on my simple research as of now only one company start using doge as payment for buying tesla car is called puerto rican technology company that selling local cars. Not yet for tesla but of course it if just a survey and they received a good percentage of doge for sure they will implement that as a payment option ASAP..
DOGE might be the option since Elon is endorsing it so it will be bad if they accept other crypto not unless its Bitcoin, then it could be more better to all of us imagine a huge car company now accepting Bitcoin and Doge as mode of payment, that’s a big adoption mate. Well, no announcement yet with regards to this one so don’t get overhype by this.

He publicly showing his support to doge so I expect this coin to be added on their options but I will not still impress on what action they do since so far their actions made from the past is just made for only pure manipulation so for now I will just watch them to see if they will really make this plan for long term and not just erase it once hype fades or if they want to take their profit out of the doge.

Elon's Tesla is still hungry for attention despite having much of it already. I don't understand them. But I don't really care if Elon's Tesla will resume accepting Bitcoin or not. I don't care more if aside from Bitcoin, Elon's Tesla will be accepting Shiba Inu or Dogecoin. Let Tesla accept both of them if they wish. It makes no difference. They're still shitcoins that are created for the sake of pumping. I still advise people to be very careful if they wish to join their games.
Some people are like that, they want to have the spotlight all the time but the more they look for it the more tiresome it becomes for everyone else, I think it has been less than a year since Elon has become part of this market and quite honestly I am already tired of the guy as it is quite obvious to me he does not care about the market at all and he is in it just for the money, and while that is understandable if he just kept his coins then that would be fine but this desire to always be news is what bothers me.

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments

Never in a million years would of I guessed that he was actually serious and would start accepting Doge. Was assuming he would accept Bitcoin and Ethereum. Definitely not Shiba or Doge.

I also didn't think this, I can't believe that after all the fuss about bitcoin, Elon Musk is coming today to accept payment in SHIBA instead of bitcoin!!! this is unbelievable!!!
This news has caused a crazy spike in all meme coins, everyone knows Elon Musk's obsession with dogs but no one ever thought he would accept Dogecoin or SHIBA payments instead of Bitcoin!!!
I do not know what is going on in Elon Musk's head, but I am sure that this behavior is not innocent at all, Elon Musk is a businessman and is only interested in profit in the end, so it is certain that this movement has another goal entirely!!

Wonder if someone will actually buy an entire Tesla vehicle paid for by Dogecoin.

The first person to buy a full Tesla car paid for by Dogecoin I think is Elon Musk himself!!! I wouldn't be surprised if he went out on his mom's birthday and gifted her a paid Tesla by Dogecoin!!!

Shiba is a meme coin.Dogecoin is a meme coin as well.
The big joke is that those meme coins have real value on the market.
Elon Musk is a type of guy,who would accept meme coins for his Tesla cars.He wants to prove a point.
Is doesn't matter how ridiculous a financial asset looks like,as long as the people believe in the asset(or the expected future price),the asset will have value on the market. This is basically finance for the fools.
All the "sheep" on the financial market think that a centralized meme coin has value, only because a guy like Elon Musk recommends that coin. This is a joke.
Everything wont be possible or getting some value if there's no community behind on it and its true that Elon wont really be that enough on implementing out things alone.
It is just people behind do really still believe on such demand which makes these meme coins does have actual value even some people do say to be shit.
In regards with Tesla accepting doge or meme coins then its up to their choice. They wouldnt really be making such step if they do saw that those coins
doesnt really actually have some value or important. It is on people whether they do jump with the trend or simply avoid it, its your choice.
