Excellent first session so far, nice contest between bat and ball.
Discipline of Mahmud ensured success for the Bangbros and he bowled a long spell, it tells you about his fitness, very impressive because it's almost unheard as far as Bangladesh pace culture goes but feel Taskin and Nahid Rana looked rusty, Taskin did bowl some fine balls but he was quick to release the pressure. Their fielders also looked slow so far.
Jaiswal and Pant are doing a hard yard and could be dangerous as usual because both of them play their shots at will but right now their focus should go not out and have lunch.
Indian top order batting line collapsed under Hasan Mahmud's brilliant bowling and they lost 3 valuable wickets till the lunch break, including reliable batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. These three batsmen were very reliable in the team but they failed to show their best game. Earlier, Bangladesh team invited India to bat after winning the toss and they managed to use the two pacers very well. Rohit got out after 14 runs and Shubman Gill found his way to the pavilion after 28 runs and Virat Kohli got out after 34 runs which is a great success for the Bangladesh team.
Now it appears that Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto decision to bowl first seems very effective and they have completed a great spell.
To be honest, we are not seeing the kind of performance we thought we would see from India. Our prediction was that India will dominate and win their home match. Because India is always strong at home ground. On the other hand, the Bangladesh team is very weak in the Test format. So the match was more likely to be one-sided.
India cannot start well today. Against Hasan Mahmud, the experienced Indian batsmen could not survive at the crease. Among the first 4 batsmen, 4 wickets have been taken by Hasan Mahmud. Hasan took the wickets of Rohit, Kohli, Pant and Gill. Nahid also picked up the important wicket of Jaiswal. India has now collected 165 runs, and the team has lost 6 wickets. It is difficult for India to collect even 220 now.
