In the first innings of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, we again saw a consistent batting performance from the Sri Lankan batsmen today.Sri Lankan batsmen showed their professionalism today and scored a lot of runs against Bangladesh but they may regret every batsman that they could not score any batsman century. Sri Lanka team top order middle order all the batsmen gave their best today.Srilanka are already way ahead of Bangladesh even they scored more runs they should have declared the innings but they didn't.

Bangladesh batting in their first innings with the aim of crossing 532 runs, I would say their first innings got off to a bad start.Bangladesh have lost one wicket in 55 runs and will start their first innings tomorrow, maybe defeat awaits Bangladesh in this match.

Sri Lanka played an incredible game, 531 runs in the first innings, Bangladesh will not be able to achieve this score even in two innings  So I can guarantee that Sri Lanka will win this match. Bangladesh have started the game and have scored 55 runs so far and they have lost 1 wicket so far. So it is doubtful whether Bangladesh will be able to cross 200 runs.  I was really surprised to see Sri Lanka play like this.  I thought the maximum they would score would be 400 runs but I never expected them to cross 500 runs.
Yeh absolutely agree with your point of view because it's not looking like Bangladesh playing at thier home ground and delivering such worst performance it's totally unbelievable and look at opponent score board they hit a 500+ digit and to be honest if they hold thier wickets a bit they definitely K.Mendis will scored thier third consecutive century in just one and half test matches, how gem sirilankan team has found at thier lower middle order where things got more hard for them to tackle but he is try his best and delivering much more good results then any expectations, Anyway after such high digits target I taught Bangladesh will give a handsome response but instead of showing some magic they lose thier first wickets and just score around 50, I am damn sure that Bangladesh will lose couple of wickets at start of second day

It was a tough day for Bangladeshi bowlers. Their bowlers looked quite ordinary, giving away TOO many runs. Even with Shakib's presence, there was little improvement. Some Sri Lankan batters got lucky breaks as Bangladesh struggled in the field. Sri Lanka made history by posting their highest total in the second Test against Bangladesh!
Bangladesh responded with aggression but lost their opener. Will the hosts be able to match Sri Lanka's score tomorrow that's the concern.

End of day 2, Bangladesh trail by 476 runs and they have lost the important wicket of Joy. Sri Lankans batsmen have done there job and now it's an easy job for there bowlers. In first innings, almost all batting lineup improved there batting stats while Bangladesh bowlers kept struggling to get wickets. The pitch is spinner friendly but Bangladeshi bowlers failed to take advantage of this pitch. I don't think Bangladesh has a chance of winning this game.

In the test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, SL was bowled out on 531 runs in their first inning. All of the Sri Lankan top order scored runs, a few of their batters got unlucky and could score a century, and the rest made a handy contribution. Shakib got 3 wickets and three batters got runout.
Bangladesh responded with aggression. Their opening batters are batting with positive intent and if they maintain this aggression in the first session tomorrow, we might see a thrilling test match.

Trade Big, Win Bigger!
In today's 2nd Test match of Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka team came out to bat in the 1st Innings. They scored 125 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 38 overs. Sri Lanka team batsman Nishan Madushka was dismissed for 57 runs off 105 balls. Dimuth Karunaratne 44 off 85 balls.  Kusal Mendis scored 22 runs from 41 balls. Bangladesh team bowling line started to perform poorly. Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled 13 overs and could not take any wickets with 45 runs. Shakib Al Hasan gave 13 runs from 3 overs.
Srilanka posted 314/4 and the day 1 stumps off Bangladesh bowlers failed to take wickets early they took only 4 wickets in complete day. What a charge by the Srilanka team start of the innings to the end of the last session they don't take the pressure. Excellent batting by Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis in this series as long as they remained on the wicket pressure was on the opposite team Bangladesh bowlers have not the ability to bowled the Srilanka team under less score the way the Srilanka team is playing they will win this match easily because the batting line is the weakness of Bangladesh teams against top ranked teams
In 1 st test game between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka team, this game was won by Sri Lanka team and in this game, Sri Lanka batting lineup was brilliant and most players showed very outstanding struggle and woj this game by big margin of runs. Today 2 nd test game,  one day was ended and Sri Lanka team scored 314 runs in 90 overs and losing 4 wickets and their 1 st Inning is still continuing. N.Madushka scored 57 runs with dismissed in 105 balls, D.Karunaratne made 86 runs in 129 balls. D.de Silva and D.Chandimal  both are currently batting in pitch, D.de Silva batsman effort was impressive in 1 st test game. I believe that this game also won by Sri Lanka team and Sri Lanka team is much stronger than Bangladesh team.
Sri lanka played excellent in 1st innings they made 531 runs Kamindu Mendis on 92 runs remain not out six players from sri lanka team made fifties Bangladesh team start the 3rd session of day 2 with his batting they neex to play smoothly because a mountain of scores ahead Kusal Mendis 93 runs and Dimuth Karunaratne 86 runs also create a important role to achieve a big total Bangladesh bowlers failed to create pressure on SL they totally failed out early their main players i think Sri lanka single handedly won this match because keeping in front Bangladesh team batting line they would not be successful to trail 531 runs in 1st innings SL can aslo do folow-on in 2nd innings if team BAN failed to make half of total score in their 1st innings because the lead of 531 cannot be take off

When Sri Lanka were all out for 531 runs, it was Bangladesh's batting name and initially Bangladesh started well, but Bangladesh's first wicket Mahmudul Hasan Jai fell for 47 runs. Looking at the batting of Bangladesh, I thought that maybe Bangladesh can do well in this innings, but with the loss of 47 runs, my idea changed.
Bangladesh should have faced the remaining few overs of today's last session in a defensive mood, but that was not possible, instead Bangladesh's top order batsman Mahmudul Hasan got out. Although Taijul Islam came in the end and managed to pass the session. Second day's play is over Bangladesh will start the third day with a bang and it is expected that Bangladesh can do well in the first innings if the batsmen in the top order do not fail.

The scores turned out to be as predicted by myself in the last post. Sri Lanka did scored a decent 1st inning score as almost all of the players performed well. They batted till being all out. They lost two wickets through run out. If they have played slow, they might have got to 600 by the day end as Kamindu Mendis was still there and he could also have made century. Anyway Sri Lanka started bowling in better position. Though Bangladesh haven't lost more than 1 wicket and 55/1 is not bad in a test but there's no consistency on Bangali lineup and Sri Lanka would be trying to all out them tomorrow, preferably calling them again to bat.

Sri Lanka are in no mood of declaring innings rather they want all there 11 batsmen to bat. Nine wickets have gone down and Sri Lankans have scored 518 runs. Only 22 overs play left today and it's clear that after scoring so much runs in first innings the aim of SL will be to bowl out Bangladesh as quickly as possible or may be go for follow on. With 500 runs to chase in first innings, it's looks very much impossible for Bangladesh to level the series.
I also said yesterday that Sri Lanka will win this match too because Bangladesh's Test format is very bad at present. To say that most of the Sri Lankan batsmen have performed well in this match and the result is that they have crossed 500 runs and I think this 500 runs is going to be a mountain for Bangladesh. So in this match it is already 100% guaranteed that Sri Lanka is going to win this match.
You notice one thing and a good review of the Sri Lankan scoreboard shows that none of the Sri Lankan batsmen got out for zero runs today but towards the end a batsman Asitha Fernando got out for zero runs i.e. was run out due to which one of the Sri Lankan batsmen Kamindu Mendis (92*  ) narrowly missed out on a century.
Had Ashitha Fernando not been run out, it would have become a world record for his as he(Kamindu Mendis)has already scored a century in two innings in the first Test and if he had scored a century in today's match as well, it would have been three innings in a row.  Maybe he doesn't have such a record because of that, maybe he didn't get a century in the first innings in today's match.

Sri Lankan are enjoying this situation as they are currently in complete control of the game and series as well 158 overs and having score of 519 is big achievement for them in these conditions now they are going to break a test record which was set by India few years back with having 524 runs without having any century need 6 more runs.
Bangladeshi team is badly down in moral with their fielders already drop 6 catches which are too much for any team in this format, we have three bowlers with centuries into their accounts and one with 90+ which is giving all review how things are going for them in this match on this batting pitch.

Edit: While I was writing this post we have new record Mendis hit 2 sixes then last ball run-out mean now this record belongs to Sri Lanka having 531 runs without century in test inning.

Congrats to Sri Lanka for breaking the record and naming it to themselves. What a tour Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva are having. Runs are coming from there bat whenever they come to crease in this test series. Kamindu Mendis missed another century by just 8 runs and was not out in first innings. Shakib Al Hasan was the most successful Bangladeshi bowler who got three wickets but had to bowl 37 overs to get these wickets.

At this time I think the Sri Lankan team had the mindset to make 500 and then declare the innings but I think they have to declare it right after making 500 runs because today they have to put their all batsmen or if they can’t take 10 wickets so at least they have to pick 6 wickets which will help them tomorrow.
Today is another day and another day of Bangladesh losing but still, three days are left and in the three days Bangladesh can catch up and win the match if they play well from today until the last day of this test match. After doing that all, they had little hope of winning.

Not much success for Bangladesh bowlers on first day, just 3 wickets for the bowlers plus one run out. Kusal Mendis was unlucky to miss 3rd consecutive ton by just 7 run. Batting of Sri Lanka is much more stable today then what they have shown in first test. Sri Lanka might score 400+ runs before declaring or losing all wickets. Bangladesh now have a job at there disposal, they need to bowl out well set Sri Lankan batting and then chase a huge total of first innings.
Today the Sri Lankan team played very well and I think as they made the target today, tomorrow they have to declare the innings after making 400 because in the last match's first innings, the Bangladesh team could not make even 200 runs so if they make 400 then I think that they have to play just an inning. After all, if the Bangladesh team did not upgrade their performance, then for sure, they will not be able to chase 400 runs in two innings.

I think tomorrow they have to make 400 runs in less than 20 overs and then in the remaining overs, they have to out them in the day of tomorrow then I think we can expect that Sri Lanka team can be a winner again and the match will end with the same result.
Dropped catches and poor bowling from the Bangladesh give them setback into first day of the second test with now we have most chances 420 to 450 could be ideal score for the Sri Lanka which is now playing much better in this series after having few bad matches even their bowling also needs to improve because they are having some holes which needs to be fixed before going to play against big teams in near future.

But, now their confidence level still is high, and they are able to secure their series win after impressive performance from their batting in second inning of the first match and now in first inning of the second match Chandimal is still at the crease, and we can expect good batting and good runs from them in this inning.

Today is the second day of the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka second test but the two sessions of the second day are already over and the last and third session is going on. But Sri Lanka's collection is close to 500 runs and Sri Lanka's batting style looks like Sri Lanka will finish today's game and not invite Bangladesh to bat. After finishing today's game, it is very likely that Bangladesh will be able to bat from the first session tomorrowAnd if Sri Lanka sets Bangladesh a target of more than 500 runs, it is difficult to predict how much it will be possible for Bangladesh to fill up that target and get a draw or win. However, it is very likely that Bangladesh will lose the second test because the batting line of Bangladesh is not at all suitable for Test cricket.

Jeez! 146 overs and counting in such heat with no help from the pitch for bowlers and the Lankans are not trying to up the ante with the bat or showing any signs of declaration.

Atm it looks like a typical Subcontinent pitch. One would hope that it's a flat deck for the first 2-3 days and then starts misbehaving and assisting spinners. Hope, it's not going Pindi's way, that would be disappointing.

If those can’t be open like Sri Lanka and they judge that they cannot chase it then this condition will be good for thinking defensive when some batsmen fail to play well. I am trying to say they have to fight until the last ball and when they think or judge that they are not able to chase then they have to take a step where the match can be drawn.

First of all, they have to use their resources on how to win the match. If a team is being defensive right from the beginning, they will usually lose the match even before the start of the match. No matter how weak is the team, it is the body language that matters in the end.

I think you may be right to some extent but at the same time if you say Bangladesh has to try their batsmen luck and if they can’t chase then try to draw the match but every batsman of any team wants to play well and be a cause for the victory for their team. Every batsman thinks he will change the game but to do this process if the match will be gone like Bangladesh losing quick wickets and the score might be 200/9 then what will they do?

Also, they had been under pressure and due to rivalry, they had the embarrassment of losing that’s why, if they working from right now to tie the match then it will be better for the Bangladesh team.

The first is should not be to win the match but to save the match. Once you see that the match is saved, then the remaining players can go for the kill depending upon the wickets in their hands, the situation of the game and also the time left in the game. This is more true for a team that is currently facing a bad performance or is an underdog team.

In 1 st test game between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka team, this game was won by Sri Lanka team and in this game, Sri Lanka batting lineup was brilliant and most players showed very outstanding struggle and woj this game by big margin of runs.

I think this is a condition where the team of Bangladesh should have to take a new step and according to the current situation, we are not seeing that they can chase the target because to chase 434 runs is not a cup of tea.

Now, they have to take a step on the way where they can draw the match. If the Sri Lankan team wins this match, then Bangladesh will be whitewashed, but if they draw the match, in this condition, the Sri Lanka team also win the series but at least any respect will be left for the Bangladesh team. I think it is the best thing for Bangladesh to draw the match.

Bangladesh 'pay the price' for multiple dropped catches as Sri Lanka take control

I don’t agree with you on some points as you said Bangladesh has to tie the match but I think first of all they have to try their opening batsmen to play with confidence and make a good start.
