Ireland couldn't get their batting going on the first day. I don't think the pitch is completely batting friendly. So if Ireland's batsmen can bat responsibly, they can take a lead of 100+ runs.

McCarthy and McBrine done good job which is going to give them win in this test as well now we have 15 overs left in first day of play which is important for both teams because Ireland will try to have some good foundation of their batting which will help them for having good control in rest of the game as well.

Zimbabwe seems to be in a very strong position now. They are 153/3 at the time of tea. Prince Masvaure is still there with 70 not out, with Sean Williams at the other end. For Ireland, Barry McCarthy has picked up 2 wickets, and Craig Young has picked one. My question is why Josh Little is not in the playing XI. Is franchise cricket more important than test cricket? Especially for Ireland, who play 1-2 test matches per year? Brian Bennett and Clive Madande are yet to come for Zimbabwe, and a total of above 400 looks very much on the cards here.

Zimbabwe squad touring to Ireland sqaud for play just a test match and this match has begun now and playing at crease and toss already done among both sqauds. First inning of Zimbabwe sqaud is ongoing at crease and their batters performance seems very good and their start was total admirable. Ireland sqaud bowlers are seeming very difficult to face the Zimbabwe sqaud batters and restrict them at low scores target. Ireland bowlers successfully managed to pick two wickets who played very impressively. Joylord Gumbie batter managed to collect 49 scores after playing 99 scores and one more score need to complete mid century but sadly he was wiped out. West Indies team did not do well in the first test but performed well in the first innings of the second test. But they could not maintain their consistency. Their big disaster happened in the second innings. It will be difficult for the West Indies to beat England in the test cricket as England is more stronger in this format. But if they make the matches competitive it will definitely be good for them. Shoaib Bashir made the big margin of the 2nd test in the second innings. He took 5 wickets to restrict the West Indies to just 143. This England bowler has just started his Test career. So far he has played a total of 5 matches where he has picked up 24 wickets and expect he will do better in the upcoming matches.

The only Test match between Ireland and Zimbabwe is going to start today. Zimbabwe team is visiting Ireland to play this test series against Ireland. If we judge the strength between these two teams in Test ODI and T20 format then both teams will be equal.

In the only Test match, we want to keep these two teams equally ahead as they are not less than each other in terms of performance. Zimbabwe cricket team got test status from ICC long before Ireland cricket but still there is no improvement in their cricket. Due to which they have performed poorly in most of the series against different teams, let's see how strong Zimbabwe can show in the only test match against Ireland. Maybe the Ireland team will try to take advantage of their own home ground in this test match even if they will be more confident in this match.

So not being defeated by an innings is a big thing now? West Indies still lost the match by 241 runs. That is a massive margin, in any format of cricket. To be honest, I can't find any improvement in the performance of that team and I don't think that teams such as West Indies should be allowed to play test cricket against top-tier nations such as England. Like I said many times before, we need a top division in test cricket comprising of the following teams - India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa.

Zimbabwe tour of Ireland

After one day there will be a test match between Zimbabwe and Ireland team, this match will be hosted in Belfast. This is not any series match or any significant match in cricket, just only test match, you may say just a tour match.

It will be an important test match for both the team especially the Ireland team

In the two Test matches between West Indies and England, we saw poor performances from West Indies. The players West Indies fielded against England have been playing unprofessional cricket which has resulted in them failing in every match. Basically this is where the West Indies players lag behind the England players. However, the England team is as strong as ever on their home soil. As a result, England players are confidently playing well against West Indies in every match which is playing an important role in their team's victory. West Indies have already lost the series against England as they have lost two consecutive matches.

There is one more match left between them and maybe in that match West Indies team will try to play their best to at least keep their honor and win the last match.

Historically nature of West Indian cricket is always unpredictable, but recently they have huge decline in quality just because of this, mostly people have no good hopes from them for consistently performing. But here we have good development in second test match's first inning but sadly in second inning we see another disappointment which is clearly indicating things are still not as required.

England bowling was not good in second test match but we still have good comeback from them in second inning through Chris Woakes and Shoaib Bashir after Gus Atkinson was also on fire. Now seems like that West Indian batting is having serious trouble in test format because now their batsmen not having any technique which is important for the test matches just because of this, their performance is having serious problems especially against top teams as they are not able to give their best.
