Where are you Texas Laser Systems? Your website is gone, your facebook page is blank, and you haven't posted anything for a year. Just want to make sure you are OK.

Do you also sell sharks? I need sharks and lasers, so I can put the lasers on the sharks.

haha, good idea! I added it to the website for you: http://www.texaslasersystems.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HPLS

Also, a modification for people's cats that allow the cat to fire laser beams at intruders.  Grin (From it's eyes)

Impressive! But before I order, could you just tell me why the 405 nm laser beam appears red in the photo.

Thanks.
It's a redshift, the shark is swimming away from you.
Correct, if you'll go to the second photo, you will see a more accurate representation of the laser's color  Grin

Even more impressive. Sharks that can swim backwards!  Grin

Perhaps it isn't swimming backwards, but is using the laser for photon propulsion.

The hologram has a sensitive tamper evident pattern that looks like honeycombs if peeled.  I am aware of no way to read the key underneath without exposing this pattern.  So if the pattern is intact, the coin is good.

Secondarily, if I peeled the hologram and redeemed the code and were successful, then that is a certain way to know that it was good (though destructive...)

And just to make clear: the number on the outside is just for checking the balance.  The number needed for redemption is concealed under the hologram and is much longer than 8 characters.

Pics or it didn't happen!

How's this?  (Since the time Shawn sent me the samples, I bought my own 75-dollar can of the laser marking material he was using, and did this bar myself)

https://en.bitcoin.it/w/images/en/thumb/2/2f/1000_btc_gold_bar.jpg/645px-1000_btc_gold_bar.jpg

It's the real deal, one-of-a-kind thus far.

http://blockexplorer.com/address/1AVLk3NSP7djqjPdRNff3CzVMqobk4imup

I was able to laser mark both the denomination into the bar (in black lettering) as well as into the hologram (in a sort of low-power "melt" lettering which actually looks cool because the melted plastic combines with the holo material and looks like glitter)

That is really neat... in regards to physical bitcoins, if you accept them as tender, how do you know someone has not transferred the balance off of them and then you accept a coin with no value? Or do you check prior to accepting? Sorry.. little new on this.

Bitcoin and laser beams just seem so right together. If only we could get Unwanted Hair Removal services to accept Bitcoin. Imagine the possibilities.

Thanks Smiley Yes, they can be tough to import to the US, although to be honest - issues are rare. Nonetheless, I'm trying to get everything switched over to the FDA Certified stuff so there won't be any issues.
Actually, I'm not in the US either Wink

Seriously though, that is awesome.
Props also to you, TexasLaserSystems. I'm not anywhere near Texas though, and I hear customs don't like lasers in the mail Smiley

In regards to CNC lasers, sorry - I don't have that. Maybe someday. But I will soon be adding some CO2 Laser Tubes (20watt - 150watt) and Power Supplies to the website.
