Post betanet tezos dev update

Watch ArthurB provide a development update (the first since the betanet launch) and share some of his ideas for future protocol implementations. We would love to hear what the Tezos community is excited to build!

How reliable is Tezbox wallet? Are we entrusting our tezzies to a third party by keeping it in tezbox wallet?

Deposit to Gate.io works perfectly, just tried. HitBTC does not work yet.

Anyways, those are both pretty shitty exchanges, just played around a bit and not planning to sell anyway Smiley

Just a bit pissed that I have to do KYC at Gate.io in order to withdraw. But fuck it, I did it so many times, I'm pretty sure the whole world already has a scan of my passport
and some stupid selfie pictures.

So what you guys gonna do? Sell or Hodl, waiting for the big dump to get some more (that's me Smiley )

I've done KYC on Gate a few weeks ago and it was processed within only one day, and you're not alone, the whole world has scans of my passport too  Roll Eyes

I will hold Tezos, it may sound stupid but for me it's better to hold and have a theoretical loss some weeks/month than get burned because of selling too early.

He's not in the right place right now. I think ETC is a much more valuable project. Perhaps ETH will show the performance it shows.

Why ETC is more valuable than Tezos?
I guess people will talk till projects start on Tezos.

Steps to claim your XTZ account and delegate
Activate your wallet

a. Go to https://stephenandrews.github.io/activatez/

b. Enter your Public Key Hash/Address

c. Enter your activation code

d. Click Activate

Wait for 30 seconds for your wallet to get activated.

Note :- if you get an error than change your browser

2.Restore your wallet

a. Goto https://tezbox.github.io/wallet/#/new

b. Click on restore your wallet

c. Click the fundraiser wallet on top right and enter the details (15 words seed, password, activation code and email)

d. Click on restore Tezos. (Done!)

e. Next page will ask you to enter a password to encrypt your wallet. (You can use any password you want)

Note:- Compare your public Hash address of ICO wallet with the wallet you have entered. If the address does not match or balance is 0 than you have either not activated your wallet (Step 1) or entered something wrong (Repeat Step 2)

3. Delegate your coins

a. Go to www.mytezosbaker.com to see potential delegates. Choose a delegate and go to their website to see their delegate address.

b. On your wallet page (Tezbox wallet as mentioned in step 2) click on add account (on left side). This will add an account address starting from K........ Please remember that this address is under your control. You won't need a seperate keys for it. You cannot delegate from your T address. You can only delegate from K address

c. Transfer your coins from T address to K address (created in step 2)

d. Under the delegation options in K address choose the delegate. You can select the already entered delegator in drop down menu or enter a new one in custom field.

Exciting times!

Please tip if it helps :- Tezos :- tz1epVq5MMAJSQpL5ctfk5mu9t3d6ZcAZu7f

Can you transfer XTZ from your wallet to Gate.io?

Just did so with a small amount to test it. Used tezbox and deposit was credited within a couple of minutes. However, need to KYC in order to withdraw and never used that exchange before.

Tezos is alive with the latest betanet launch and apparently these irreversible transactions means they are real. I will not touch it anyway at this experimental stage and would keep waiting till the stable version will be out in future. More important was to see this happening and this has started to role out things. Let's see what is next and in how much time.

I, too, while on standby, their level of developers and the amount of collected funds tell us that someday the project will grow very well in price. Problems in the team and legal proceedings are a minus, but they can also be settled.

The amount of collected funds is extreme. We can only wish now that they understand how to use all that cash.

I think main things is attract the developers and entrepreneurs. Like they are trying to do with $50m allocation.

The funds yield amazing opportunities. They could offer job positions to the best devs or start several high prized hackathons to attract new ones to the project. I think they will have many ideas and ways to further increase the state of the project

Hi all, I'm heading the Tezos project. A few things about the project

 - We have real on-chain decentralized governance, i.e. we can upgrade the entire protocol without hard forks.
 - We support smart-contracts with a functional, statically typed language which we design specifically for formal verification. We presented it recently at the Stanford blockchain conference and the video should be online soon.
 - We're starting with a delegated proof-of-stake consensus model
 - We are headed for a crowdsale around late Q1, early Q2 2017.

We've been fairly discreet for the past few years quietly building our technology (our source code is available on Github). We did not want to go to a crowdsale without an actual working product. We're not a fork of any project, we built the entire thing from scratch in OCaml.

I'd be happy to answer questions about the project!

P.S. we're also looking to contract with translators and community manager.

~is hitbtc legit? =) tia!
