yes i agree i don't like the infinite cap, they need to fix that, i only invested a little here because of this reason, i don't want to be screwed with dumping all over the market, because there is too much inflation, and with that the value can't rise this is known, just see doge for reference

Please tell me a coin with no cap and perfect performance after ICO. That can be long term or short term.

Lisk, Waves, Iconomi, ethereum..

There are more than enough examples. Capped ICOs are just to create FOMO and get people to invest too big too early.

Ethereum  Cheesy

I got what you meant, just kidding.

But things have changed, lots of coins have value over $100m right now.

Wow, more than 200mil. market cap.  Grin

It is not worth to invest... the market cap is much (much) too high!
I think it will land hardly to the ground to rise (maybe) later.
The uncapped ico that makes the tezos just worth to the long term hold or it can be determined by you as the long term investment. It will too difficult for you to hit and run for the decent profit. THe pump will be so hard rather than another coin.

Yes having a maximum cap is really needed in every ICO. They already got way more than they needed. I like the technology don't get me wrong. I just don't like uncapped ICO's.

I wish Tezos has a hidden cap like Bancor. Right now they could easily end their ICO campaign, but they choose not too because the founders are too greedy. If you read their contribution letter, they have reach over 10x of their Mars-shot. If they don't align their goal to long term, this project will be the biggest burst.

An uncapped ICO coupled with a huge amount of hype sounds like a pretty dangerous recipe to me. I really don't like the look of this one at all. It does seem that they're far more interested in instant $$$ rather than the long-term success of the project.
Who knows, I may be wrong and it may all work out fantastically... but I suspect a lot of people will lose a lot of money when this hits the exchanges.

Is there a way to start as an UNCAPPED then later on it will become CAPPED? Just wondering.. Newbie here.

It is utterly ungoverned, they can do whatever they way.

Yup, no regulations in effect.  They can come up with whatever rules they want targeting inexperienced investors, and there are plenty climbing aboard.

I have kept 1 ETH for tezos 4 weeks ago but due to recent failure of SONM and Bancor, I have decided not to part in Tesoz now. Instead of it I have put that ETH in Steemit and got some profits as well.
Want to add details on these claimed failures? What was your turnaround for profits on Steemit?
Sonm and Bancor are eth tokens and that is why they are down.Tezos is creating a different blockchain and its price will not be efffected by eth price

I think tezos needs hard cap because most of people will be able to get their hand on tezos, so there will be no demand when it will hit the exchange. I think it is a long term investment. I don't think the price will increase drastically after hitting the exchanges niether will the price fall below the ico range. Anything thing can happen in crypto world I mean just look at Eos it has just released just 20 % percent of the total coins and recieved around 170 million usd and the price is more than triple than the ico price.

I have similar opinion about it, the damand will not be as much as the supply. Imo the price might fall under ICO price but long term it will be a good investment.

I think TEZOS ICO needs a maximum cap.
They want to start the ICO with no max cap.

They need investors, but the tokens will be worthless or cheaper on the exchange.
I want to invest but these terms are bad for investors.

Maybe its better for investors..??
Both ways to solve the issue have problems, if you have a cap the whales can take advantage of this and buy a huge amount of coins and not let anyone to get into the ICO, I think something similar happened to BAT where a single person bought a lot of coins, but if there is no cap then many investors can get in but the issue is that there is not going to be anyone to buy the token and the price is going to go down.

The reality is they have to deliver, uncapped is fine but you better communicate and you better deliver. If you don't it will be a fire sale and everyone will jump ship and it will hurt everyone. In reality the coin is fine, but what does it really deliver? It delivers the ability to change based on voting, this could be a huge success but I don't see how voting and another promise of improved speed give you a competitive edge once the token sale is over

I think it will be very hard to overtake crypto currencies that have already established themselves for a long time now. Where I do see some advantage is that they have a clear path with how to use all their funds and I see they will market it heavily, perhaps even on TV.
