In my two years of collecting, I have never seen one of these come up. Very nice coin.

I'm debating whether to sell this coin again, I've been trying to get a crypto loan but it's a tricky with the coin being physical, all the exchanges are geared up for virtual coins which is understandable.

So, is there much interest for this TGBex coin? It's fully loaded with 1 Bitcoin and eligible for the historic forks such as Bitcoin gold and cash plus any future forks provided it's not unpeeled.

Thanks folks.

There would definitely be some interest for this coin.  The whole issue however is selling a single bitcoin these days is a lot of money, so you'll likely need to be flexible when it comes to the sale.  Personally I would only sell this if I met the buyer in person, at some safe/agreed upon location.  But yes there would be some interest I would imagine, these coins are pretty rare.

Just a side note..I spoke to the creator of TGBEX a few months ago and he has been considering a comeback.

Hi everyone,

I've had some changes in circumstances this weekend which means I am going to withdraw this coin from sale.

Thanks you all for your comments, it's been interesting to hear the feedback.

I will put it up for sale in the future when the timing is better.

Awww men. But never sell it below faced value plus its premium price in case someone offer you a low baller call. And also lock this thread and just open it again once you decided to sell it again.

Oh, I didn't realise there are auctions on here.

I have it listed on eBay and was offered £6,300 last night, but that's far too low.

Presumably if I put it up for auction here I would have to take it down from eBay?

I would think so...stealbay lots of fees as well Wink

$7000? That doesn't even cover the btc price! Of course too low

I resold a number of these as the TGBEX UK distro.

They are NOT common coins and despite the published mintages, they never actually released more than 50 of any one coin minted.

The higher denoms were VERY rare. In some cases only 20-30 were actually minted. Check my previous auction/sales threads for more info including from TGBEX himself

Any serious collector of Bitcoin history would gladly pays dividends to own one of these. An auction would be a good idea.

I have well and truly never heard of TGBEX in my whole life, let alone any coins they've made.

Who are they? When was this created? Maybe I haven't been paying much attention.

Considering the track record of physical coin makers I'd need some fairly compelling stuff to give this the time of day.

Quotes from the website above is this quote I found funny

"This is certainly a premium touch, similar to what is done by Alitin Mint."

That should be rewritten 🙊

But I found love to see a 20 btc or 50btc coin come up for sale that would be exciting

They've been around for 5 years, just haven't done anything in the last 2-3.
