I recommend bitcoin-core itself is good. You have complete control for your bitcoins. For web related, you can check coinbase.
I had a lot of problems with core updating. It's extremely slow now and takes many hours to download the whole chain and has a tendency to crash while downloading, forget everything it has got to that point, and start again. I had to do it 3 times once, because i lost power for a second, my PC had to reset and of course I had to start again. I was like 10 hours into it when that happened.
I recommend a light wallet like Electrum.
I just started hearing about desktop wallets of recent. I have been using block chain for a while now, with some few transactions without glitches. Nevertheless, from what I have been reading so far since I joined this forum, it isn't a good idea using Web wallets for security reasons.

What are then the pros and cons of lightweight and heavyweight desktop wallets? what are the differences with respect to Web wallet? which server keeps your coin balance. I have checked online for answers but I couldn't understand much being a lame man. I won't mind simple and practical answers.

I like XAPO. Vault is nice, even if somebody steal your password you have 48h to stop transfer of bitcoins. Support can be better.

I feel from all the wallet, only the best blockchain, and the simplest to use. Well, although sometimes the transaction is so long, but, I think it is a good wallet from the first to the present.

For me the best wallet I have is Coins.ph because their transactions had no fee. However, there's a lot of wallet were more beautiful than that like Xapo, this is none of the most trusted wallet.
Fyi, coins.ph have transaction fee s of now if you send lower than 200k satoshi its free but if you send more than 200k satoshi the transaction fee is more than 100k satoshi. Xapo now is for faucet ang games payout only. I used xapo before byt I stopped using this because I dont know why many people for sure not use xapo only little people can use this. I siggest the best wallet online is blockchain and coinbase.

XAPO is for faucet and games payout only? Who told you that? There are just lots of faucets that using XAPO but it doesn't mean they are for that purposes only. XAPO is no different from Coinbase in terms of features.

In terms of transactions fees to those exchanges mentioned in all the quoted post here in my post, coins.ph, Coinbase and XAPO don't charge fees if the transfer is between their premises. The charges are applied if you will transfer bitcoin to an outgoing address.

Bold choice here...

FreeBitco.in

Why? Because we're the only bitcoin wallet paying interest, reliably every single day...4.08% annual percentage yield.

Why don't these other online wallets pay you for the risk you take in not owning the private keys? And the best part about interest is that while the rate stays the same the fiat value increases as the price of Bitcoin increases...which in fiat terms means you're earning even more!

The famous bitcoin faucet now can be a bitcoin wallet? Isn't it will give us more risk since your identity are anonymous? Online wallets, same with yours, don't giving us an access to our private keys but isn't is more safe,at least, if the online wallet we will used is regulated and a registered company which freebitco.in isn't?

Am I missing something here? Or you are already a registered company?

The famous bitcoin faucet now can be a bitcoin wallet?
Indeed! And it's the only online wallet paying you for the risk you take to now own your private keys. Think about that.

if the online wallet we will used is regulated and a registered company which freebitco.in isn't?
According to whom?

Well for me the best bitcoin wallet is coins.ph it is our local online wallet here in the Philippines,
You could easily sell and buy some bitcoin through it and you could cash out instantly and the best part is you could withdraw even if you don't have an ATM card,
You could use the card less in their option for cashing out your bitcoin or Php.

Is your computer Trojaned? Are you sure. Every AMD & Intel processor has a back door, windows has back doors, drive by browser vulnerabilities. Really if you store any amount of coins on a computer, or online account you are crazy.

If the price of a hardware wallet is small compared to how much you are holding you must get your coins off your computer and get one.

I used to use an air gapped laptop running armory, but its too much hassle, so now I use a Trezor to store coins, and for small amounts Bread Wallet on non-jailbroken iOS.

If you must use computer based wallets, make sure you keep the machine clean, no warez, pirate stuff, porn etc, dodgy shareware or freeware etc. But for me, its not worth it.

I like blockchain, it fast, easy and cool Smiley

coinbase probably for beginners are grate, but ahh.. i don't like it..

Coinbase is not suggested wallet for anyone. Never store anything in coinbase. Use coins.ph or better is to download electrum, it's a multipurpose wallet and safer than most of the other wallets.
Coinbase is all about exchanging bitcoin for fiat or vice versa, not about storing coins. They are exchange, not wallet. Read this for info: https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-is-not-a-wallet-b5b9293ca0e7

Since I'm a Filipino, I reccomend to my countrymen the "Coins.ph" it is safe and reliable. Also it is very secured. Offers variety of ways on how to withdraw your money. Also there is a way on how to deposit bitcoins. Try to check it out. Coins.ph

Coins.ph is a great wallet. One of my friend suggest me this wallet. also coins.ph offer .50 php for sign up.But the problem that i faced is,They asked me about my NID (national id card). So why i am not using this wallet.
Ive tried and used that wallet a long time ago but now I stop using this kind of wallet because they are asking for such as identification like ID's and bills for your location. I am a bit disappointed because they are removing the  anonymity of bitcoin. But If you surrender and give your identity to them you will have the privileged to withdraw your money anytime. coins.ph has a good reputation when it comes to withdrawal of money cause most of the choices of withdrawing bitcoin to currency is available to them.

Correct coins.ph is great wallet with great services offer to all users of bitcoin, we can do lot of things in that wallet, even now are getting angry because of the transaction fee but i think that is ok to make sure they can survive for long time because they consider the value of bitcoin.

I can advise Xapo (Lightweight purse bitcoin, bribing to the extreme with minimalist design, simplicity and speed of work).
MultiBit (the minus of this product is low confidentiality, which increases the theoretical threat from intruders).
And naturally it's the Bitcoin Kore, + you can still Armory (a special solution for paranoid who are looking for how to create a bitcoin purse of an ultimatum level of security and reliability).

Hi,

Please let's recommend the best bitcoin wallet here, since blockchain has gone south!
nobody seem to understand the platform anymore...

I recommend MyCelium Bitcoin Wallet

What's yours?

For a Filipino like me, coins.ph is the only wallet that suits for any bitcoin users in Philippines, it converts bitcoin into fiat then can withdraw it at atm even without a card, and most of all supported by many products and companies.
In deciding the wallet that you are going to used you need to consider the country where you lived in because not all wallet is working on all the country. Like coinbase for others it is a good wallet because it has etherium coins and you can do forex trading analysis there but if you will used coinbase in the Philippines it said that it is not supported there. So for me coin.ph is the wallet that is more preferable to used in that specific country. So the answer may be subjective in terms of country where individual live in but for me all wallet is good it just depends on how you will manage and hold your bitcoins.

I will recommend coins.ph cause im a filipino. And here in the Philippines it is the best wallet that you can use. You can easily get your money by just converting it into phillipine money and you can withdraw it in atm bank without using card.

Not the best wallet but maybe best exchange currently in PH. Because lots of features they have to use bitcoins in many ways including mobile credits, game credits, bills payment, tuition fees payment, easy withdrawals with lots of options etc. no doubt that the majority of bitcoin users in the PH used the exchange. But remember NOT as a bitcoin wallet.

Just use their features and services, only on that purpose and not as a bitcoin storage.

For OP, Try also those bitcoin desktop wallets and sees what fits with everybody's standard. It's only ourselves who can tell what's the best wallet for us.

You must know also that most people here are not Filipino so they can't use this app especially from US or New York area I dont know the reasons why but when I'm using VPN that time, and my location was US then I cant login because that Im from NY area. And for more information coins.ph is not totally wallet, and its an account a bitcoin account, you don't have the access of its private key and its also an exchange, as many filipino here are saying they can convert Bitcoin to PH money. But I'm using it of course because Im in PH. But I strictly recommend to use Mycelium as what OP's also and Electrum desktop wallet.
