What method do you use? What are your recomendations and experiences?
TY

localbitcoins if you can find someone ...
Otherwise I would recommend to use an exchange like bitstamp ... (a little bit longer, a few days, but safe)

Does anyone know a good BTC cash out method in China/Hong Kong/Asia?

Thanks

When you are in China you can open an account with a local bank (even as a foreigner, I was told), then you can cashout with BTC China.

I finally looked at localbitcoins.  Seems like the buyers in my area want a lower price than bitcoinaverage

https://www.bitstamp.net/ works pretty good. Their fees are also really cheap.

Local Bitcoins looks ok, but what if I need to sell 5btc and no buyer wants to buy 5btc?
So, I need to find 5 buyers at 1btc each?

I use localbitcoin for a majority of my cash outs but sometimes through CaVirtex...  But I usually end up buying bitcoins back the same week.  Smiley

does "local bitcoins" mean we just find a guy somewhere local?

It is a site where you can see people in you general area who have bitcoins for sale, so it's worth checking out.  It's sort of like craigslist for bitcoins.  I've never used it yet but the overall process seems pretty straight forward I just can't say much on how the site works.

as many have said local bitcoins is good but I'd also suggest green dot cards.  If you can find some one with a good trust rating around willing to help that is an option for u also.

Is localbitcoins where you just meet someone local to you and trade?  Is it a specific site?  Must I use google for this?

Best method would be cash and in person maybe using local bitcoins for example.

One confirmation is too small, IMHO. It makes double spent attack very much possible. And if I trade some significant amount, like couple BTCs, I would like to have at least 3-4 confirms. Which is about 30-40 minutes, and you can't be faster than that, no matter how much you pay for a transaction fee, because as we know the whole BTC network adjusts itself to make sure blocks are generated at somewhat constant rate of one per 10 minutes.

FYI, BTCGuild pool at some point was able to solve 6 blocks in a row, which make even 6 confirms look not so secure any more.

Would be nice to kow how localbitcoin really works? I imagine, like in action movies, two parties with laptops waiting for the transfer confirmation... The only thing that 6 confirms will take about an hour, which isn't really convenient...

It is exactly like that. You meet in a public place like a cafe that has wifi and have a cup of coffee while you do the transaction.
For some people it's a more fun to do Bitcoin transaction like this. It doesn't take an hour if you pay a decent transaction fee.  Wink
