Pink Floyd is the best soft rock band, LZ is the best arena rock, and Beatles are best pop rock, for sure.
But GNR wins for sheer volume of glorious sex/drugs/hard rock in one amazing album. Plus they flamed-out early and dissolved in a cloud of conflict, like a real rock band should, instead of milking it for years or decades past their prime like the Stones. And Axl started a bunch of riots!
Best Metal band is Ministry. The Napster-suing emo whiners of Metallica are vastly overrated, unless you are in middle school and don't know better.
