The TBC people quit supporting the old wallet, but I kept a copy. I had to modify some of API calls to get it working again. The price in the wallet is currently set to $1144.50 per TBC coin as the old API call for the price is broken and I don't know what to replace it with except some set JS code. Anyway, if anyone wants it:

http://www.mysticwealthclub.com/TBC/

The API uses tbc001.net to check the TBC blockchain and that blockchain seems to go through some refresh cycle that takes it down temporarily fairly often. So if it isn't showing your balance, try waiting 10 minutes and refreshing (probably F5 key on your browser).

I might change the API calls to use blockchain.tbc004.net which seems to be more reliable, but I am tired of working on this for now.

Hello how would I get the api for tbc 004 wallet please

One of the things I find intriguing is that people are actually learning about cryptocurrency because of this coin.

The lesson that this coin will teach them is not a good one. You think they will use and or invest in other cryptos after getting burnt by their original experience with cryptocurrency.

I find TBC to be an interesting concept [..]
tl;dr

I'm sorry but most of the people here really don't find any interest with that scam. It's a total scam and you should think again about supporting that scam coin, it's just a way to make those people believe that it is a real alt coin in the market of crypto currency. If I were, I will find some other interesting alt coins that has realistic goal.

It has a blockchain, it is mined, and it has various wallets. Personal wallets allow you to manage your own private keys. Those attributes are what make it an altcoin. It's pricing system is irrelevant.

If you think that their blockchain is real, don't fall for it. I have read a thread here about those transparency of their blockchain. If I can remember it right, they had a blockchain but they are hiding their transactions, correct me if I'm wrong. It is a fact that it's pricing is irrelevant, where you can find on this world that a coin has no inflation like TBC? If you won't take my recommendation on stopping to support that scam, it's up to you.

I find TBC to be an interesting concept and I want to see how far they can go with it.  This is the first abundance based coin that has been released. Personally, I think they should have kept the growth rate much lower and stopped at a reasonable market cap. Regardless, it seems to be thriving.

One of the things I find intriguing is that people are actually learning about cryptocurrency because of this coin. Money motivates people to teach other people. I was hoping since I discovered Bitcoin back in late September of 2013 that I could maybe work a career from it. I started teaching people about it, made a few dollars, and the large gain in November seemed to validate what I was telling people. Most of my family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances eventually started buying bitcoins when they reached were about $1000 each. The downturn after that never worried me, I just figured it would rebound within a year or so. But it didn't, the price just petered out for the next two years. This long draining collapse was both embarrassing and a disappointment. Most people I know finally sold their bitcoins by the end of 2015. Everyone I know lost money. As for teaching anyone about Bitcoin, who wants to learn about a currency that spent years on a losing streak. BTW, I have spent the last couple years panhandling to survive rather than spend any of my few bitcoins.

To make things worse, I saw that Bitcoin was getting stuck in a civil war and unable to increase it's blocksize. Trying to guess which altcoin is going to replace it seems to be a fool's game. Ethereum is turing complete, Litecoin can handle much greater volume, Dash has anonymity. And then you get crazy newcomers like Monero and Golem. Or maybe I should have gone with Pinkcoin or Gamecredits. It all seems a crap shoot. Hell, Dogecoin could do a hard fork to fix it's broken 5% annual hyper issue rate and then it might take off like crazy, but they probably never will. And why is everyone ignoring Myriad which seems to have a really good wallet and is resistant to centralization with it's 5 different POWs. Like I said, a fool's game.

So back to TBC. Like I said, I find it interesting, an abundance based coin. I see people teaching classes in how to use it and in the process they sell or trade some TBC to newcomers. The new people can do the same and teach others how to use it. With it's guaranteed constant value increase, they can recoup their initial investment. People start learning about cryptocurrency. You can't really do that with any guarantee with any other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is kind of stuck with meager returns compared to a lot of altcoins. And now is probably a bad time to invest in these high performing altcoins as they act like they are in bubbles, but then again, who can be sure?

Looking at Blockchain.info, we can see that Bitcoin went from about $0.66 in August of 2010 to $1500 in May of 2017, about 13% growth compounded monthly. Unfortunately, most of that growth happened in the earliest years before most people even heard the word "Bitcoin". Since it's high in Nov of 2013, average monthly price growth rate has been less than 1%.  All the early people hoarded their bitcoins till they hit about $1000 each. They knew their value and now they are millionaires.

This is why I think we need to start abundance based currencies. Something more predictable. Now I don't really like TBC that much due to it's 3-5% daily growth rate. That is insane. Bitcoin has been below half a percent per day average over it's lifetime. I do hope to see other "abundance based currencies" (ABC coins) though that are more rational. Say around half a percent daily price growth. That should be sustainable.

As for using my programming skills to help people regain their lost coins after the wallet centralization update, why not?

Ok, enough ranting/whining for one day.

Be careful of that coin, TBC is a shitcoin this coin is not listed in any bitcoin exchange site and i see alot of people selling it through facebook bitcoin group in our country they sell it in their own price other people buying it in like $0.50 then they sell it in $2000 and they have a tbcexchanger that you will pay $500 for just signing up in their exchange and you will earn btc but it has a limit like $10 a day only, i think this shitcoin will close soon after they get so much money from the newbie members  Embarrassed

Is this coin I.e. TBC a scam?
Any experience with it?

Well next time used your head, you have the search bar on top of the forum, there are a lot of threads and post about The Billion Coin and many more coming from newbies who just want to generate referrals using this forum but ends up getting a lot of negative replies.

Well I am not generating referral here
Plus Google have both positive and negative things about it.

I think you should use Google and check their fb group before replying here

I am very active on facebook and on 80 groups but people who are active on facebook tbc are blind to see that Tbc is not decentralized and not open source,it cannot get into any exchange because they cannot give a source of their coin, the price is not the reflection of it's true value, because there are no data to show the demand

Correct most of their post was more on hype only. Most of their team in tbc was so arrogant and and boastful too., they deceived many people in the philippines about in tbc, my goodness! they sell TBC each in 6 pesos in their currency which is 0.00012sats. equivalent in BTC. they're selling the coin with no value in the market. that's totally insane and stupid things I've ever seen.

This is a scam coin! A trash coin! People who are behind this coin is laughing their own ass right now, as for those who fell and bought some of their ponzi coins great job, you will be a billionaire soon. The devs of this coin is so brilliant, no road map, spamming promising links on facebook groups, bragging out fake conferences and meet ups, and a controlled price.   Wink
