- snip -
it is only $60 $55 $50 $45 $40 bucks anyway.
- snip -
Monday some time I will award the $40 $35 $30 to dooglus.

Dang the way things are going I might have to increase the reward!

LOL.  I was just thinking the same thing.

Tell them to get their act together and get in here before it is too late.

I suppose that Keefe might know a very early adopter that simply isn't available at the moment to sign in to the forum and provide a MinAddress.

However, I was assuming that this is more along the lines of what ndnhc was asking about.  I figured that Keefe recently purchased a Casascius coin and is waiting on delivery, so he can't post the MinAddress until the coin arrives and he cracks it open.

When did Casascius begin manufacturing his coins?  I know it was before I discovered bitcoin, but was it before dooglus's address showed up in a block?

I am a bit flexible on that.  This is all for fun and it is only $60 $55 $50 $45 $40 bucks anyway.  Tell them to get their act together and get in here before it is too late.

If no one posts a lower MinAddress by Monday some time I will award the $40 $35 $30 to dooglus.

BurtW, can you give us an exact deadline (date/time in UTC)? I'll probably have an older address in a couple days. (Sorry dooglus!)

Am i allowed to buy bitcoin address of someone else without getting a negative trust?

I don't see a problem with that.

Anybody that owns a Casascius coin has done exactly that.

Do you trust the seller not to steal the bitcoins that you add to the address?

My guess is they are both victims of a public school education and just don't know that the number 4xxxx is greater than the number 1xxxx.  They might also not be familiar with the concept "less than" Wink

I guess they don't recognise that character strings containing letters can be numbers, and so don't think to compare them numerically.

yeah. i had the same trouble. but figured it out after seeing first few submissions

Only TWO day left to post a lower MinAddress!

dooglus's 18e98-1c is still the MinAddress to beat.

I will send the reward to dooglus unless someone comes up with a real lower address in the next 3 days.

Any "older timers" want to claim your 0.1 BTC?

All joking (I thought it was funny and obviously not an attempt to cheat, at least they followed the correct posting format) and annoying people who just (incorrectly) post without bothering to read the OP and the thread aside:

dooglus's 18e98-1c is still the MinAddress to beat.

I have decided that I will send the reward to dooglus unless someone comes up with a real lower address in the next 4 days.

What the hell? You gave me negative trust for posting that? You took that seriously!  Shocked

That is the first address which appeared in Block 1. And all it need is a little common sense that the only person who will knoe of bitcoin's existance at that time is Satoshi Nakamoto and may be some rich guys.

And do you know what a grin means?

Also the verification failed. then how did i present false credentials? Anyone could know that the address is not even related to that string.
And there was no intention to cheat.

See: https://blockchain.info/tx/0e3e2357e806b6cdb1f70b54c3a3a17b6714ee1f0e68bebb44a74b1efd512098

if u see the address in blockchain, u can see that it was recently active. So my claim of lost wallet is obviously false. I was only joking!

Just adding smilies does not make it a joke. Just because your attempt to cheat was amateurish does not negate the fact that you tried. Maybe your intent was different, but you might should have made that clearer. I certainly did not laugh and yes I tested your signature even though I was almost certain you are not satoshi.
