Thank you for sharing this website, @mk4
I usually use the cointelegraph in order to check all the crypto related news. But, the special thing about the website you introduced to us is the website only and specifically publishing bitcoin news not the crypto news. This will help us to easily follow the news about bitcoin and clear the shitcoin news. However, there are many other similar websites where you can follow these news.
Yeah really great news from it. Good things we have users here extending their part and helping us out to get more news about bitcoin. Aside from that the reply also from other users like this made it more wonderful to have another way to read news about bitcoin. However, I am a little bit worried if really all the news where there are fact or just a fake news. As we all know that fake news nowadays is also rampant and we could not believe it at first because we need to do another research to verify all things are correct and true.

Almost all of the other cryptomedia sites are absolute trash because of this.  I hope this one doesn't follow suit, but my experience seems to suggest otherwise.  Fingers crossed, I guess.  I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt for now.
Yeah, they are being puppeted with the people in power of money. This might be good in the beginning but will turn the same as others in the long run, but I hope it won't.

I think there might be two issues at play.  One is the people who already have lots of money and are seemingly more likely to attempt to use the media to manipulate public opinion in their favour.  The other is the "underdog" outfits who tend to end up sacrificing quality for profit because there likely isn't any other way for them to survive financially.  Neither creates good journalism and I don't know how it can be remedied.

I sometimes worry that all media is effectively predestined to reach a stage where the money becomes more important than the journalistic integrity.
Got this feeling too, coz there will be sponsors that will pay them for an advertise for example although they got the right to do or not to do it, still they need money for maintaining the website.
I also noticed how some crypto news site are manipulating the articles, when you tend to compare some of them, it will be likely a two opposite side in the paper, it seems to me that news with crypto is heavily manipulated too, not including the facts. Still the integrity of the news website should be at the priority of the viewers and readers, not just because it is popular.

Almost all of the other cryptomedia sites are absolute trash because of this.  I hope this one doesn't follow suit, but my experience seems to suggest otherwise.  Fingers crossed, I guess.  I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt for now.

I bookmarked the page, let see how it develops. I still prefer cointelegraph, cryptoslate and AMBcrypto even though they cover similar topics and stories

May we judge this site as another market drama or another artwork that will only spread bad news to the people because it is new. Yeah, the artwork is really good to see and could actually give attractions to the reader, pretty impressive but it will not get into the point that we can easily trust this site at all. They should not just have to look good only at the outside because people are very considerate to know what is in the inside and how they deliver news to the community. If they are true with their commitment to being a good source of Bitcoin news, maybe people would think about this as a reliable one.

This might be added to the top Bitcoin News site out there depends on how they deliver the news to the people as some others are just taking advantage of some events to falsely promotes their project. Is this only limited to Bitcoin News? or they will also publish any news about the other cryptocurrencies? If so, they need to give every coin fair news even though they want to overthrow BTC which will not happen at all.

This actually is a good news site. I really do like its content. The simplistic design is cool too. Honestly, I prefer black backgrounds in websites or anything actually 10x more than white or other colored backgrounds since black feels more relaxing for my eyes. And as of now I am using my phone to browse and I can say that the news site also works good on mobile devices as well. Great job for that. That being said though, there are still quite a few sites better than this one at the moment. But I will surely do add this on my favorite news sites. I'm the type of person that prefer more sources than just a single one.

Btc Times, sounds like New York Times. Good choice of name in all fairness because I'm sure that it can somehow get the charisma of such big news company Cheesy

Like what other's said, I also like the design. Black and white colors are very classic and calm for our eyes, it never gets old. Plus, what i like in this new site is that it is also mobile friendly. Everything looks well organized and I don't actually having problems with zooming in zooming out the articles. Though Coindesk and other sites are better at the moment, I still look forward on this one. The more sources available, the better (given they are all stating nothing but facts of course).

I'm usually reading news about crypto in https://cointelegraph.com/.. I like the design of the aforementioned site, looks simple.
Anyway, I'll check this one out, looks neat, but since this is a new site, I expect more improvement of the site in the long run.

What we actually need is a site that tells clear information, we know they could be bias, but not to be obviously bias.

This is most viewed news site by my friends and I just keep an eye for their posts because most of them know what is relevant in the cryptospace. Good thing about this site though is that it will be a good oppurtunity for other journalist to apply for this site to write some articles which can help them financially. What I fear about it though is that these sites for crypto news becomes a mainstream journalism where they rack up fake shit just for the numbers, we all know how journalism right now has gone, they do not care about the truth, the numbers is enough.

I am not seeing anything wrong with that until they start to spread fake price prediction or baseless news just by taking some payment. Due to excessive amount of ads and paid advertising people are losing their interest on this type of crypto related news site. Basically this kinda crypto news sites launch with the promise of fair service and authentic news but everything begin to change when they start to list or share anything just for some money.

Possible, but it's a lot less likely(though still possible) in their case in my opinion because the people who are going to run this site has big names and has quite high reputations in this space, and I'm pretty certain that they don't want to lose it.

It looks great, to be honest. I do look forward to another reputable news site with regards to cryptocurrency-related stuff and headlines. I always see and read CoinTelegraph and CoinDesk. Those are the ones that I'm familiar with. Now that there would be this site, it seems a contender in terms of design. I hope the content would be great, as well.

I am sceptical about this whole idea because news is still news no matter what you are calling it, noise-free news, sense-free news, etc. Even based on strong facts, news won't tell you nothing about the real reasons that caused certain processes, actually no one can do that. What they do is forming particular view on "strong facts", and because of that we gradually lose our ability to think adequately. Facts are facts, but interpretation of the facts is always subjective and based on the experience and knowledge of the interpreter. You shouldn't base your opinion only on someone's interpretation, you should have your own opinion. Naturally, in order to form your opinion you also should have some experience and knowledge. And the best way to gain these is reading books not news.

If you still want read news about bitcoin without noise, I suggest this twitter https://twitter.com/nobsbitcoin

I've looked at The BTC Times website and my first impressions are pretty good. But the content is not complete, there are
several features that are still coming soon. Maybe because it's new, looking at the list of board members involved is quite
promising. There are the names Charlie Lee and Riccardo Spagni involved in this project it should make The BTC Times website
provide credible news. As we know these two people are enough influential in the crypto world.

Well, it's a new website, just to be fair.

By the way, thanks for introducing us with the new site. Lets wait to see their progress and future activities.

I don't know who Samson Mow is--that's the first time I've heard his name.
just another centralized mind who's involved in a lot of centralized companies such as blockstream, BTCC,... and is here to make money...
As long as they continue to invest effort and money into using bitcoin for offering services and products, why should it matter if they are in this for profit?? I think its a good thing to have a bunch of such bitcoin focussed companies. Like Blockstream is headed by Adam Back, who is pretty much a bitcoin maximalist.

These people have done useful things in the time that bitcoin went through surge in media exposure. They also played an important role in putting hold on Roger Ver's agenda to mislead newbies.

I have visited the website. So far, it was a neat and simple, providing news about bitcoin, altcoins and other stuffs like political and technical. Unlike the other websites who has so many ads popping, this btc news website doesn't have that irritating ads.  However, hope your website stick to your purposes;

At the BTC Times, we deliver content with a mission:

Quality reporting of the news you care about
Covering stories that others don't
Addressing FUD and bad takes in the media

Somehow, covering stories that other websites don't? From whose stories will you covering?

Anyhow, I usually read btc news and predictions in my apps installed in my phone which give me notifications as I need that to be updated.

I just tried open their website and my browser shows warning with error code "SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN", which left bad first impression.
Weird. Was working for me at the time I posted this, and it's still working at the moment. Probably was a short downtime.

the site's certificate says it started yesterday (is valid from 2020-08-09 to 2021-09-08) so it either didn't have a certificate or just renewed it. since it is a new site maybe it didn't have any.
