I would not call this a bull run. IT went up slightly but in the past week or so it crashed much quicker and more than it has gone back up. This is more or less just a rebound. 2015 will probably decide whether it will be like 2014 and a slow decline or a plateau or the opposite with a slow or fast increase.

Bitcoin "went to the moon" a few times already. I'm pretty sure it's not going to recover back to those old highs anytime soon. But the recent rise seems pretty big. Would anyone know WHY this is happening?

I think so. Smiley
The bull run has begun. Cheesy

What is your opinion?

Maybe not but it seems like a great time to enter the market. A price of 680$ would mean a 100% return!

Really need to see a close above the downtrend trendline from the all-time highs through subsequent swing highs before we are in a bull-run (ideally above Stamp's pivot high of $454). Having said that, I also believe a lot of the year end selling is partially do to tax loss harvesting, especially with those that have large losses from buying the beginning of the year. I think January will prove to be a solid month for BTC as wash sale restrictions fade and people can get back in.

I think the shock will be on 26th December when everyone will open their christmas presents and since most will get bitcoin in shiny new wallets will want to spend them.
Not much time left to see this.

Positive or negative shock?
I imagine a lot of people are getting BTC as Xmas presents.

It's nothing more than a small recovery, at least that's how it looks.

I keep holding, it's great fun seeing your coins gain value  Cheesy

Why do you think so? I see it as a strong one, anyway. The sell orders are big. But the price is going up.

I have been monitoring it for the last few days. There are very big buying going on. Dunno why price isn't increasing that much.

no hope from me this year i will not buy before march 15

I think January is a better choice?

For me, I will buy now. Actually I already bought most of it. I keep buying till price crosses 350.

It's not pessimistic to say HODL. It's optimistic, just on a longer time horizon. It might go up from here, but I see no particular reason that this is anything other than a rebound from the recent dip. There is not really any way to know for sure when Bitcoin will make its next order of magnitude run, even assuming it will, so you'd best get comfortable with it. I repeat, if Bitcoin continues growing exponentially, that still provides no real guidance for the short term. It could do anything in the meantime, and history has shown that it generally will. Relax and wait.

Impatience is a warning sign that you're about to lose money Wink

I am very bullish. The whales bought low after crashing the price. (My thinking...) Now they would want to push the price high to sell it.  Wink

Why so much pessimism?

You guys sold? or did you put leveraged short positions or something? And is trying to push the price further lower?
I don't know why, I get that impression.

There are huge buys. More bitcoin is bought than sold. But the price is not rising proportionate to that. I suspect manpulation.
