Billionaire this is someone who earns more than a millionaire and therefore can provide himself and his family with a better standard of living. If I were a billionaire, then I would not only help my family, but also do charity.
Obviously Billionaire is MORE richer than a millionaire. 
A millionaire is someone who owns assets between one million to 999,999,999 of a specific currency where as a billionaire is someone whose assets are worth a billion dollars or above. This is the most simple answer I can give for this question.

it's weird how little people think about how big a number it really is.
i think governments should be forced to say 'thousand million' instead of billion to remind the population just how much money they're pissing away.

I concur. Billionaires became such by waking up in the morning, then doing nothing all day, going back to bed when they got tired. THEM BASTARDS!
By extension, I have a theory that to become a Trillionaire one simply doesn't have to wake up at all. To become master of the universe, all the dude had to do was plant the seed depicting his existence. Genius!
Only about 1% of the worlds population are billionaires, now 99% of the world poulation work, at least 40 % work really hard like pysical labour, working in mines etc, even a lot of doctors work very hard and long hours but none of them is a billionaire
most of them dont even have enough to feed their family after working hard and every day, so now you want to say you become rich thrugh hard work?

Maybe I should say strange idea, but I wouldn't want to be a billionaire. Imagine how it is to live without dreams. Any desire can be executed immediately. Probably so very boring to live.
