The first dirty truth is that Israel does everything possible to limit civilian collateral damage...

lol that's the biggest lie I've ever heard, I doubt even Bibi could say that with a straight face.

Israel commits war crimes on a daily basis, blowing up entire schools full of children isn't exactly 'limiting civilian collateral damage'.

Israel always gives civilians notice that a specific place is going to be bombed in the near future, however hammas tends to get the civilians to stay in their homes with the threat of force and violence against their families.

Israeli - Arab Conflict

The core issue is that Arab will not agree to Israel's right to exist. Until this changes, the fighting will continue. I have no doubt that Israel commits war crimes (just like the Arabs do with suicide bombs and missiles against civilians), but I feel that the conflict has gone on for so long now, that both sides just don't care anymore about preventing civilian casualties.

Since this is mainly a religious war, lets just let them fight it out to the bitter end. May the people with the greater god win.

The only reason Israel exists in the first place is because hate-filled Palestinians rioted and attacked Jewish immigrants throughout the late 1800s/early 1900s and Israeli settlers needed to defend themselves and formed cohesive communities that eventually lead to the rise of the Haganah militia and eventually the IDF and the Israeli state. In fact the Jewish congress supported the two-state solution in 1948 and the entire Arab world rejected it and ganged up to drive the Jews into the sea.

but oh right the same dopey leftists who whine about Israel's "apartheid" push open-border immigration elsewhere around the world but declare Jews had no right to go to Palestine in 1882, 1917 or 1947.

Also look at the Palestinian charter, it says ONLY an Arab can be a Palestinian, and yet Israel is called racist...

It really is the only solution possible for peace in the region but Israel will not even consider it.

Hamas is a result of the oppression. A consequence of being confined in a 140 sq mile area.

I disagree on that at least in the short term. Why is it West Bank has been relatively peaceful and quiet for the last decade yet Gaza is always a snake pit? Even while the IDF is only in the west bank and there are no settlers in Gaza?

It's all about who is in charge. Hamas's only goal is to dig tunnels, stock more rockets, and keep pumping out jihad cartoon shows to brainwash a new generation of hate-filled youths. The PLO in the West Bank however have concentrated their energy on economic investment and creating jobs and because of it there is no militants marching in the streets on a daily basis anymore or firing of rockets.

A recent poll showed that while Palestinians are divided roughly 50/50 on supporting either a two-state solution or recovering ALL of Israel, at the same time 80% said they want Israel to let in more Palestinians to work and most reject violence which is almost contradictory in nature.

I think at the end of the day what most people want is jobs and security, and considering the deteriorating situation in Syria, Iraq and all across the mideast, I'm not sure if deep down Palestinians are ready to see the IDF gone completely from their backyard even if they publicly say so. What good is a national state on paper if it becomes an anarchy war zone? Look how fast Gaza fell apart and spiraled into a Fatah/Hamas civil war when the IDF left and pulled down all the settlements.

You're forgetting a couple of things there. Just to name a few: the Fatah-Hamas conflict was greatly pushed by the US and Israel, when "their" party didn't win the elections - they (and others) armed, trained and supported Fatah in preparation for the coup. Then, you also missed the blockade Israel has imposed on the Gaza strip, which has left the population and economy there on the brink of collapse - now long past it, after the recent escalation of the conflict.

Either way, he is right: Israel is not interested in a two state solution, or for that matter, even in a one state solution, in which it would take control of all of the land and population.

Israel's Propaganda War
Secret Report Helps Israelis Hide Facts:

 By Patrick Cockburn

The study admits that the Israeli government does not really want a two-state solution, but says this should be masked because 78 per cent of Americans do.

Netanyahu has publicly stated several times that Israel will not even consider a two-state solution.

All Israel lovers should read this. But of course, none of them will.well if they started off Israel lovers this would disabuse them.
The first dirty truth is that Israel does everything possible to limit civilian collateral damage, while the Pals and their Islamic movement, Hamas, do everything to increase civilian collateral damage. The second dirty truth is that you defend it.
You really want to believe this and won't listen to any evidence to the contrary.

Israel says missing soldier killed in battle, body still missing: Israel had previously said the soldier had been captured in battle, and in the wake of the announcement launched the deadliest 24-hour assault on Gaza since the beginning of the 27-day attack

Palestinians struggle to 'dig out bodies': Dozens of dead bodies remain under the rubble in Rafah, as Israel's assault on southern Gaza kills scores of civilians.

Fresh Israeli attack kills 10 refuges in UN shelter for displaced in Rafah: UNRWA school struck for the 7th time The strikes brought Sunday morning's death toll in Gaza to 47. More than 1,749 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 10,000 injured  since Israel launched its attack on Gaza.

This last thread rather tells me that Israel actually went out of their was to kill as many women and children that they could. They don't respect any international agreements. But, given the origins of their war, how can anyone believe otherwise?

Israel’s message to the Palestinians: Submit, leave or die

Hamas fu cked with the IDF bull, and now they are getting gored by the horns! Well done, IDF!

The IDF needs to establish a 'three wave' scorched earth march across Gaza, minimizing civilian damage except when Hamas uses them for cover. Then the same three waves need to march back across Gaza and eliminating every possible terrorist regardless of the cost.

I heard that some of our former SEALs and Rangers have gone over to act as Advisers to the front line IDF units. I suspect some are helicopter drivers familiar with the same US equipment the IDF has.
