Isn't it they shoot down the roar of the public for them to accept bitcoin as mode of payment? I guess they just keep quiet about it because they are working behind to see if its really feasible. At the height of the rumor, bitcoin is around $14K-$17K, maybe they are considering it now because the price is cheap.
I have to agree that it this is true, it will have a effect on the market significantly. Gonna be win-win for both. Crypto lovers will get more then buy it at Amazon. It will also set precedence to other online giant store to accept bitcoin. Let's see how it goes, I can hear the herd from afar once Amazon started to accept it in the future.
Yes , I think this will pump crypto market and bring crypto to masses . Even Bitcoin can be used as a payment currency now , because over a last week transactions in btc blockchain becomes much faster and cheaper . Don't know how long it will last , but lightning will solve this problem completely . Let the crypto-spring begins !

Amazon accepting bitcoin does not by default translate to people accepting bitcoin neither will Iit mean that the FUD will stop rather it might even give them more way to talk and poke into the affairs of Amazon more than before. Aside that too, the full adoption might not just turn out to be massive because I for an individual would not buy anything on Amazon to pay with bitcoin rather I would convert to fiat then buy.
Amazon has long supported crypto currency, but I can not understand why you wrote that the end is close? After all, this is not the end, this is only the beginning and probably should not be sad, but rather rejoice that soon it will be possible to fully live for the crypto currency.
I think this title is just for attracting people. And I agree very much with you. We should be able to catch up with this trend. Witness this history. It's a pleasure to be a participant too. 
I think that this is just jumping to conclusion. Amazon just bought 3 domains related to crypto but this doesent means that they will get into the boat. Maybe they are are trying to protect theyre name against scams that could use them to convince people to buy thinking they are on a amazon domain.
I now that this would be an amaizing news but they just announced that they have no intention in gheting into crypto because there in no demand. Believe me, when they would announce something like that it would be huge news and not just a speculation.

I don't want to sound pessimistic but this seems like just recycling old news.
For this implementation, you need a crypto currency with low volatility. So far, none of the existing coins is suitable for this, probably because Amazon decided to create its own.
I do not think it will be such a situation in the next 6 months or 1 year. this may change with new laws that may be made later. but this does not mean that the end is nearing the end. The speed of acceleration slows down. it will not be our life anymore.
I’m more be interested to react if the Amazon officially announces this on they’re sites.. Cryptocurrency won’t be the same again after that,, many investors that is doubtful before might invest and the bitcoin price will explode to new highest level in history of its existence.. I’m excited but hoping blockchain technology and transaction network must be ready to it to avoid congestion and abuse by miners on fees..
One of the richest man in the world is creating a crypto? I mean his net worth will be even bigger than ever. But I should say that Joining the hype is totally worth it. I'm just wondering if they will create a bounty for it.

This is not the first news about crypto and Amazon and always they are not become true, because it's just market manipulations.
Imagine Amazon adopts Doge as a means of payment, for one cheap tx' fees and enough in supply for demands not yet known, it will be the ultimate anti-climax and from parody coin to hero, I'll literally shit myself, although highly unlikely.

At first the heading sound gloomy and when I read OP post I was pleasantly surprised at what he is driving at. The end is near indeed! We may never see these cryptocurrency prices ever again. So load your wallet with as much as you can.
