Right, that thing about attempted doxing of satoshi by Newsweek was pretty terrible both in principle and in how it turned out for them. I guess we can start to see that many of these old-school commercial magazines work with a similar MO.

If you really consider it, Britain is the "British Isles" which will be existing for quite a long time no matter what government(s) is/are installed there. In that context, the end of Britain won't be happening until some huge changes in plate techtonics go down. BTC won't really have an effect

That is why I said for now. If I remember right there were talks about California leaving the USA and going for "solo" but i might be wrong. But USA opened the box, so we can only sit and watch if it will turn to bite them in the ass...

I'm of the view that Scotland will not secede. Without the pound, and without membership of the EU, Scotland would find it very tough going.

And there's precisely no chance of NI rejoining the Republic any time soon. As for Wales...well...who cares?

You're right, it won't be a Greek style collapse. It will be a peculiarly British collapse. The only tool Britain has (and this applies doubly to the US) to reduce the debt is to devalue the currency, inflating the debt to nothingness.
