All these bitcoin moon tards really get on your tits after a while.

They buy a fraction of bitcoin and overnight become investment gurus with a crystal ball telling anyone that will listen to buy now or regret it.

When the price bombs we get the HODL buy the dip crowd circle jerking each other.

How could you be so sure it's over?

Nobody is sure. Bitcoin first tested the $10k level on Jan 17th. It bounced back up, and it tried to go below $10k on Jan 23rd. Since then it has been trading above $10k, and if it can survive above $11k for a few more days, it will break upwards. The next few days are crucial.

BTC is an overvalued dinosaur. Why do people like bashing alts and glorifying the dinosaur?
Because most altcoins will not exist at all if it was not because of that dinosaur, most coins are also just a copy of bitcoin with some adaptations and then they call the best coin ever, only a handful of coins have any kind of merit and most of the time those are the coins at the top 10. Also when we take into account that more than 95% of the coins go to zero then it is no wonder that people bash alts.

I don't think so. We're still in danger of falling back if the sell walls @ $11500 and higher aren't eaten up. That just means that the bullish trend had demised and we are slowly being eaten by the bears. It could be that January just proves what kind of month he is for the cryptoworld and everything would (hopefully) return back to being bullish again come February. I don't think that the massive sellout would still continue at a deeper point, given that a lot of investors bought somewhere near the top and wouldn't want to sell at a massive loss. $8000 is a possible bedrock, but then again we're just speculating and the crypto markets always tend to go opposite of what we thought is sensible to happen.

There are a lot of brand new investors who, in the short-term, earned much more than veteran investors, simply because they got on the hype train early, and luckily cashed out before the crash (not because they saw it coming, but because they were lucky).

On the other hand, a lot of new investors bought at the top and are now bagholders. There are still those who bought BTC at 19k, or XRP at 3.50, etc.

Why are you in hurry? Wait for the perfect time again wherein bitcoin will take its high peak again. Just be responsible and hold your bitcoin so you will not regret at the end.
That's how people are. The only thing they care about is chasing quick profits. The majority of the people aren't interested in Bitcoin itself, or lightning network as in offering people a cheaper way of transacting.

They care about merchant adoption because they believe it will increase the price. They care about lightning network because they believe it will increase the price. And this goes up for any aspect of Bitcoin's progress.

But then again, no one is forced to like Bitcoin and it's technical aspects to invest in it. It's called freedom. The only annoying thing is that these are the type of people who will always moan about the market.

They don't have a single clue about how this market works, but yet they talk like they do.

This is the mistake of most people. Unfortunately, they only eye the money and quick profits - this has blinded them from seeing the full picture and potential of bitcoin. This has made them misunderstood the way price flows and that bitcoin won't go to the moon immediately. Of course, it's but normal to experience some ups and downs. It's really hard to tell and predict the market but don't be surprised when bitcoin will experience some dips.

it was really fun to see how people rush to spread fud about a crash when this was just some test of crypto faith and a sale for the sharks to get those cheap bags of coins, glad this is over, back to business Cheesy

Newbies are no longer that "new" anymore, because they experienced a serious correction.

Honestly, the whales really suck. I thought they would do better than this to at least give us more reasons to buy at even a cheaper value. Seems they can only make noise. I hope the noobs will have the experience now and see the reason why they should not panic. Everyone at a point in time will definitely always have this moment of downtrend to contend with, it takes courage though for the first time to get used to it. Cheers as the bulls take over.

Just relax mate, everything is over right now, i do not think that the price will keep going much more lower than what it touched today. And yes, all those newbies creating Fud in here or just selling their money are just the main reason of this dip.

And those newbies keeps shouting that bitcoin will go to $50,000 at the end of the year, are the first out to be shaken and get out of the market immediately.

yeah i am pretty mad about all those newbies who are coming in here everyday saying that "bitcoin is over " that "bitcoin is dead" "bitcoin is not going up" and bla bla bla.. Anyway, we are here, and we need to understand that they will always spread all their shit in here.

Well, those newbies will really learn it the expensive way, some of them really bought at the top price, what do you expect from inexperienced traders? And this always happened with bitcoin market is having a correction, newbies, paid schills creating FUD, but when bitcoin recovered and going all-time-highs again, those account will be quiet and you can't hear anymore from them.

mind you. some newbies are earning more than those of higher ranks. Wink Cheesy Grin Smiley

Oh well it maybe the case, but I'm sure most of them didn't know what hit them when the market crashes and the only choice they have is to push the sell buttom. Sigh!!!

I agree, this is a good buyback moment.
we can get a good entry point right now.

this is all a recurring thing at the beginning of the year in 3 years ago,
what I bought before christmas 2017 still I hold. and it's time to buy again, to enjoy the party at the end of 2018.

Pity to those who sell their Bitcoins in this dip, all of we were waiting for a bitcoin correction although we were not expecting this serious and intense correction of about more than 50% drop from last ATH but there was a belief of whole loyal bitcoin community that bitcoin will recover it's price soon after a correction and will fly to the next ATH.
May be you are right about the alts because the rapid growth of bitcoin could destroy the market of alts, but still many top rated alts have much potential to grow even along with the bitcoin bull run.

BTC is an overvalued dinosaur. Why do people like bashing alts and glorifying the dinosaur?

I own a lot of alts, but BTC is market-tested.

BTC is valued at what the market determines it to be, based on stresses.

Did you see how badly alts fared during the correction?

Fun's never over on the never-ending rollercoaster. Think this is the last buying opportunity? There'll be a few more at least throughout the year, if not even better ones in the coming weeks.

Alt season over? You really underestimate the strength of corporate projects pumping their coins and the crazy amount of new money yet to enter crypto.

P.S. Always a little less fun to read these posts when you realise it's a Jr member talking about newbies. What are we supposed to get from this? That you're a new forum member despite being a veteran Bitcoiner? Highly unlikely. That you're a regular forum user with an alt account in case your expert opinion turns out to be wrong?

I spent 1.5 years with Bitcoin without ever going on a message board or forum. (and bitcointalk wasn't even the first one I signed up on)

I don't think BTC will go 4-digits after January, but there will be buying opportunities. Don't take it out of context - the recent FUD and garbage TA were talking about $5000 or $3000 prices, and telling everyone to panic sell.

Honestly as a somewhat of a newbie, I would've been worried too if I hadn't already experienced my first BTC correction in late December. This was no big deal. People getting worried over nothing.
They are worried cause anytime or any emergencies can appear before you and you are forced to sell your BTC and thats the problem every user has to sacrifice they will sacrifice the low adjustments and dont profit later. You maybe not experiencing it now but maybe later.

Being inexperience is the reason why the new comers sells their coin.  They get worried and panic sell their holdings.  But they will eventually reaized that they had mad a mistake and make a reentry again which will contribute to the price of bitcoin going up but this time, they know what they are doing.  Aside from that the upcoming update will definitely push bitcoin to another series of ATH.  Let us just wait for this announcement and we can see what I am talking about.
