Kids are accepting new things much faster then adults. Knowledge about Bitcoin is good but they are not so experienced and rstional as adults so they have to be warned about danger too. Kids and teenagers are getting new infomations very quick and often parents can't control them anymore and they could get stuck on bad places like dark markets and similar.
I agree. Kids love to learn new things in this world so that they can easily adapt to changes. Bitcoin is a new technology which is very interesting and useful. Many people are attracted by Bitcoin so there are not any reason for kids to hate it. Looking forward to seeing the future when your kids grow up, it will be very very awesome

yeha, indeed bitcoin is a new technology and certainly a lot of the kids who received the new thing let alone could give an advantage to them. But from behind the positive facet, kids have to cope with life in a future world that is even worse. Where I see that all the things confidential could be purchased through technology that is not held by the Government and it could complicate by unpacking these things because it would be difficult to police investigating the case. One thing that must be done is to give the right thoughts and never saw something that invites curiosity in the Dark world

My kids love bitcoin, they have had wallets for 3 years and have introduced the friends to the concept. They are all swapping bitcoin and exchanging things for it.  It reminds me of the ted talk by andreas which i have posted below. " try explaining KYC to these kids when their 18", lol  Grin

Edit: watch about 17:00 for exact quote.

That's good for you I just envy you for having kids. Since I am not that married yet, I will try to cover up that with my future kids.

But it seems that everything that was being told in ted talk by Andreas are reality and it is now going to happen.

He has the point that kids aren't allowed to use credit cards so they will try to use some other alternatives and bitcoin is the solution.

Yeah, indeed we must be more correct in introducing bitcoin to kids. For as we now know it, many things can be obtained illegally or done in the bitcoin. And it could give a fairly risky effects for those who haven't been able to do something well, let alone the kids sometimes have the urge to want to know something new or not yet they know. So, if there are kids who already know better their escorting bitcoin compared to later get a problem

This is a good thing and lucky you that introduced your kids to bitcoin years ago.
I can conclude that your kids know many things about bitcoin and can troubleshoot with transaction/wallet issues because of the 3 year experience.

Kids and teenagers can easily understand bitcoin, but older people just can`t.

This is good for the bitcoin future. We need more adolescents to adopt and use bitcoin.

more like they don't trust bitcoin, than don't understanding it, all those old man and ladies, can actually understand how to do a transaction

but they fear that they will lose their money if stored there, due to price fluctuation and all the hacking attempt that occured

Don't let them find out about gambling  Angry

I found out about bitcoin since I was 13 and it's the main thing I use/involve myself with online now but I discovered gambling a few months into my 'journey' and now I've lost too much to talk about lol

But yeah it's cool to see other kids getting into btc. Kids just need smoenoe to tell them about it otherwise HEY won't find out  Cheesy

this is one of the problems that will always exist when you combine kids and bitcoin. the anonymity and the ease of use is allowing them to do many things that can even be worse than gambling, what if they start paying for some illegal stuff online with bitcoin!

That is a fantastic idea teaching your kids as early as 13 earn bitcoins and exposed to cryptocurrency. But of course you will need to guide them in their bitcoin journey since gambling sites and porn sites are accepting bitcoins, your kids may access them and get addicted into it. Parental guidance is necessary never allow them to use bitcoin without your presence. Its good to teach kids how to earn but without placing their morals in jeopardy.

Its really hard to avoid them on gambling because we all know that bitcoin is commonly used on that industry and if they know enough bitcoin then they will surely encounter its uses and benefits then they will find out that bitcoin is being used on many things. The real thing here is on how you discipline your child on how to avoid those such things.

You could discipline them for their whole life but if they try it even once for fun, there's a good chance they'll get hooked. But yeah teaching them to avoid it would be better.
You have a point and there would be still chances that they might get hooked into gambling because we all know playing it for the very first time is enjoyable and if they already know that bitcoin could be used to play those games then they will eventually try.Its not really bad at all but we should not tolerate them to do so because if they would play excessively then negative results will come next.Proper explanation to them about negative effects of gambling would help.

Yeah, kids have a pretty good natural feeling about which things are good and which ones are useless. They are not yet indoctrinated by the state, that's why they don't understand how anyone in its right mind would think that KYC / AML are beneficial.

What your kids are doing is natural business activity. It's engaging in a free market as it should be. It's a source of creativity and joy. That's Bitcoin. Smiley

ya.ya.yo!
This is actually a really good post in my opinion, although that doesn't matter much. But the comment specifically on the indoctrination of the state is actually a pretty good point you make, and I have to say it's definitely one of your better points. The choices of the kids doesn't necessarily represent the free market and how it engages, since they don't need to immediately provide for themselves, but it does go to show how marketing and complexity can interest kids.

This is interesting to hear. How old are your kids? How are they acquiring their bitcoin? Do you live in an area with many shops/stores accepting bitcoin?

I'm curious what kids are finding as the fascinating thing about it (not surprised, but interested in zeroing in a bit) and how they percieve the use of bitcoin. You mention "trading" - with kids this could be like trading baseball cards, something heavily driven by fad rather than an indicator of genuine adoption and growth.

In the end, hearing that younger folks are enthusiastic about bitcoin is a great sign for the growth of "the project".
