Ethereum future depends on its ICOs which are launched on its chain. During past few months, Ethereum is on very low side due to lot of sell-offs of ETH and large number of failed ICOs, but I think Ethereum will recover to its original value soon as there will be huge restrictions on ICOs coming in upcoming months, only true ICOs remain survive, and then ethereum will certainly rise more.
I think the future if the rate of Ethererum increases rapidly it is used as the property like Bitcoin. The nature of the altcoins in the cryptocurrencies market is very potential to become a currency of the future. And ETH is in that if its exchange rate is less than $1,000. Because if the exchange rate is too high, people will hold and not intend to use ETH, BTC as a currency.

But still with many perfection there is a something another factor that will make etherium only etherium , the main factor is competition of better better coins , here buy exmaple is bitcoin , with the fork experiment they are making bitcoin more and more better coin but at another side due to ERC20 token system they are getting slow with etherium technology .
No doubt that ERC20 token system of etherium giving us more ease to make coins and also more better feature of etherium that is making it different from all another altcoins but surely another coins are making themself much more better than bitcoin and etherium like things , so sure here it will not be better to say with perfection that etherium will have more better future then another will have .
Erc20 of etherium system make the system of cryptocurrency is very easy but it can make many positive and also negative side.
Its easy for us and make the smart contract more famous is the positive one but in the other side, there are so many scam ico out there made by unresposibble people because make the token is very easy.

it's not a promising coin anymore, it was promising when its value was 1$ per coin .. i'm not against ethereum, actually i'm in love with it but look at the problems in their forums.. look at the wallet problems and try to hear some professional's feedback about ethereum... you'll be shocked!

the digital money world has had bad days and the price of eth has dropped too. reduced the confidence of eth investors. but the future of eth will be fine and will come at good prices. I believe.
