In the next five years, the abolition or abolition of paper money will be a global trend. Personally, I think, at least we should abolish the large denomination notes until all the paper money is abolished. Note the obvious defects, can not leave traces, dirty business, money laundering, cruel exploitation by money more convenient. If a bribe is to be transferred, it is finished. At present, there has been a country to abolish paper money, and several countries announced that it is studying the abolition of. .
Good luck with that, besides what are we going to do without higher note denominations when inflation strikes? In Venezuela people need to bring bricks of bills to pay for stuff if you want to use cash, cash will continue to exist simply because it is necessary.

the reason why hackers are more interested in fiat money is because the price of it is steady
and doesnt fluctaute frequently. and when bitcoin achieve let say $1000 per bitcoin hackers
will turn theyre eyes to bitcoin and hack it, even right now bitcoin is being hacked.

The value of 1 bitcoin really doesn't matter. Hackers just look at total value - whether bitcoin or fiat.
They just try to extract the maximum possible value.
I think hackers will not see the price of bitcoin or something. there is even a hacker who stolen $2 from balance in my paypal accoutn? lol
as long as there is money in your purse. then hackers will steal your money. no matter it paper money or bitcoin

The best way to protect against hackers is to become one so that you know how they do it. I spilt my Bitcoins into 3 different accounts so that hackers will not have a chance to steal all my balance

Whatever you do you should understand what you are doing

And if you do it right, you may not be required to split your coins into 3 different wallets or balances. Basically, there is nothing wrong with that, but you should always remember whether what you are doing actually serves the intended purpose. More specifically, splitting your stash of coins may in fact increase the chances of you losing some part of them, not decrease as you come to think

If the hackers can grab an idea to have a money, they will do it. If have this question on your mind, we still be on it too. Hackers can do a lot of things if they want it, they can hack your bitcoin address and put some money on their own, a lot of ideas and knowledge hackers can do. If bitcoin will have that kind of bug, they should update their programs.
yes the possibilities of every thing are there and one can really hack your bitcoin wallet but i think there are different security level for making your wallet security more stronger.  i think one of the best way of keeping your bitcoin more safer is to create different online wallets and then distribute your bitcoin in it, os if the hacker even hack your bitcoin wallet the other will be safe.

I think there will a come a time that we will consider digital currency as a means of payment. We already have countries using credit cards at almost everything but I guess paper money wouldn't disappear. It would still be best to have something tangable when it comes to payment. Wouldn't it also be much more dangerous if we only use digital currency?

It is inevitable that we are going in to digital age, where the use of digital currency is unavoidable too, cards will play major role in payment systems. But that doesn't mean that paper money will disappear that fast. We must keep in mind that not all parts of the world are equal. There are still places where technology is already there, but they still prefer to use the traditional way.  Smiley
Changes will come as new system with come to aid a faster transaction online, some people who has a big interest with digital currency will used the latest and the most effective one. Bitcoin will be one of the most effective digital currency for online transaction as it can help the investors to earn as well. While the world is moving fast, we cannot sacrifice the need of other people to use paper money, more options are better of course, so they will be here to stay.
but i think still it is not a threat to paper money, i think for next 100 years people will be using fiat as their main currency, although they will be using bitcoin mostly for online matters and partially in local shops for shopping, paying utilities bills and for some other activities but still fiat will be dominant on bitcoin in real life and majority of people will  be still using bitcoin and may be because of lack of bitcoin introduction and some other reasons.
yes paper money is still safe and there is no danger to it, but i think the number of bitcoin are increasing day by day and my be it effect the use of fiat as people will give preference to bitcoin and therefore the use of fiat will decrease.

I'm sure until whenever paper money will continue to exist, this is due to the protection of the State. Paper money is one of the symbols of State, used en masse by the entire population of the country. In addition, the country has not been approved bitcoin so still need to be a long process.

Protection of the state, main currency controlled by the biggest banks, used by almost all people one earth, paper money has pretty much everything going for it. It's the most secure currency today and it's been that eversince so i think if we talk about the future of paper money, we're talking about it's way beyond our generation

Currently many trial digital money, so I'm sure slowly the use of paper money will be reduced so that the right will be omitted. One of the things that make digital money is easy it is State control of the money supply.
As quoted above several digital currency based upon several countries government has been under trial. But those were with limited function to be used within the country or state. As said making money supply is easy and cost of paper money generation can be eliminated but risk of usage in illegal and relating activities might increase. I believe at some corner of every country paper money will be used even if digital money gets circulated with regulations.
but i think i never heard about this that any government has created their own digital currency. i think may be they are thinking about that because of the growing need of the people. but still no country has yet announced any currency. although some organizations and forums have already created their own currencies and are now operation different services on it.

Nice, the best way is to keep it to a few wallets. According adage that says "do not store eggs in one place, because if it breaks out then nothing is left". In addition, never store in a regular wallet, use the features available in the VAULT web wallet.

I don't know what will be the future of paper money but the future of bitcoin is very bright.

Cash gonna to stay,Russian oligarchs always have some milions in diffrent currencys in his houses
Now EU limited transaction in cash, why becouse people dont trust banks and govs and truth is there is no money in that debt economys money are vanishing,so btc is growing

The role of paper money has changed drastically in the past century and that is a fact. Russian oligarchs will have money in real estates, gold, different currencies and in bitcoins now. Future money will be digital, tomorrow, for 10 or 100 years that will happen.

The war on cash by governments has begun, they want to control every amount spend, they will say its about drugs or bribes or crime etc but its all about control. I dont know how long it will take, but sooner or later cash will disappear, maby not in 5 years but they will

May be for some developed country this might happens but do you think about under developed country? How are they going to do things if they dont even have any paper money? They really need to back in old times? Buying things from trading thing? Their government sure dont want this things to happens on their countr too. To erase fiat from each country I dont think it is still far journey

First in developed countries, but that will spread on all others sooner or later. They will be forced to change the system, one way or another. That is evolution!

yes if this happens it would probably implemented on the developed countries who can afford the system while if the thirld world countries sees the outcome of it. they would probably implement it sooner or later because if its outcome is good. they would probably do it but if it not good they would not.

Paper money and everything else under the control of governments will be fine and will always be used by normal people (not saying we're normal but I'm speaking of the average person here) who just wants to go on with the day the day. They'll probably always use fiat currency and life will be fine like that.

I really do hate some of the crazy outrageous claims on here that bitcoin is going to kill Fiat currencies as it's really not going to, just accept it.

I do not count on that:)  Some country are already implementing Cashless Society, and with the popularity of Bitcoin that pushes a digital currency might probably shorten the existance of paper money.  Government are now getting interested with Blockchain technology and once the government master it, we can say good bye to paper money.

I thought it was too short dude. will probably need a few more decades for cash can be lost and dissapear, for whom his successor? certainly from the currency version of the digitial, because now more widely used
Yeah I do agree with you. I dont think that the government will easily accept Bitcoin instead of fiat in the next five years. It should take us at least a century for cash to totally disappear. At moment, it seems like there are only few people on this planet knowing that Bitcoin is exist. Therefore, we still have to use cash for a long time
It could be accelerated anytime btw if it's really necessary
I mean when a lot of people around the world agree to move to digital money
Then bitcoin will be used as the premier currency and paper money slowly disappeared.

yes absolutely. money will always be accelerated any time if it is necessary. but if lots of people around the world only agree to thins thing. but i think it is impossible to use bitcoin as the premier currency for all countries and the paper money will disappered. i think fiat money will not disappere even if bitcoin becomes official.
