Paper money will never disappear because people will always need to trade physical things. For exemple, how will you do when there's electricity cuts ? No financial activity at all ?

yeah i agree,, there should always be an alternative Cheesy for now bitcoin maybe an alternative but if bitcoin become mainstream, paper money will not become obsolete, instead it can become as an alternative just like what i qouted said, when there is a power interruption, paper money can do the thing Smiley

I do believe that paper money is not going to disappear because a lot of people are used to use it for a long time already. And if paper money are going to be gone easily and going to be replaced by bitcoin, the users will going to have hard time for adopting bitcoins and going to have culture shock on it.

I think that paper money can't dissappear, because there always will remain people who don't trust these 1s and 0s and prefer matter. Just like books won't be replaced by electronic books totally. However, maybe paper money will become some sort of a rare thing and most of people will use cryptocurrencies.

In my opinion paper money will be removed soon or later, because credit and debit cards as bitcoin will turn and become the main way to move your money.

Soon is too near. I think we will die first and wont see that happening. If there will be chaos and all paper money will be burned then that might happen. But for sooner or later it wont. Not yet. There are too much paper works that needed to be handled before that and some time at the court.
Not gonna happen even in my dreams, paper money will remain in the circulation as it has been, bitcoin is just a newbie in the currency world and not even recognize by the majority of the people, so with that paper money are more powerful than bitcoin.

I would like to  disagree, even how  the transaction would be developed like you said credit cards and  debit cards  but still you would need  to reload or pay it  with fiat and theres no way  that fiat could  be replaced  by bitcoin anytime soon. Its really wrong to assume this kind of things  because  it wont happen.

Paper money doesn't have a future. Bitcoin is alternative, but also credit cards and banking system offer something that is changing destiny of paper money. People are using cards more then ever, and in future we can expect everyone to use it.
Paper money is expensive, buying special papers, holograms, special colours, protecting all that cost a lot. That is main reason why paper money doesn't have a future, it's just a question when wthat will happen, for 10 years or maybe 30 years. That is inevitable as I see it.

Paper money won't go away for the foreseeable future. The reason for it to stay is as simple as it can possibly get. Once printed, it is totally self-sufficient and absolutely decentralized. It doesn't need banks to process transactions, it doesn't need Internet to pass these transactions to the bank, it doesn't need electricity as well as cables to provide Internet services either. It doesn't need all these pieces of infrastructure that are unreservedly required for digital money to work...

In short, paper money would work in such places where even demons would fear to tread

Maybe in the developed world country there will be less demand of paper money as they will go to full digital, the world is moving toward digital world if you have notice, we have a lot of inventions or developments to make our life fast and easy.

Hmm when you say developed I see Singapore. But I dont know man. Paper money got a lot of history in it. It will be hard for the government to change it specially for the people also.

But the government will have no choice if everybody is using bitcoin then what are they going to do ban the use of bitcoin if it's not regulated by authorities? That would make civil wars the next step lol anyways I don't think bitcoin will get far enough to be a real treat.
well they could just ban it and sentence to prison the people who are using it and people would just avoid it

Even if governments ban bitcoin, there will still be poeple who will use it underground because of the benefits like anonymity.

You mean worldwide banning? Then where will you exchange it? No, that is not possible it will be dead once they ban it. There wont be a price anymore even underground wont take it cause there is no value. You will lose all the users with that.
If the government will ban bitcoin we will not surely gonna achieve a massive adoption when everyone is dreaming, this will not progress as probably it will only be use for illegal activities and it would not be gooitd for the eyes of the many.
but i think if the government still banned bitcoin still people will find way to use bitcoin and get benefit from it. because bitcoin is not becoming the most popular currency of the world. and people cannot afford to lose it.

Paper money is so outdated that ofcourse eventually even that will be replaced by something more digital but if it's going to be bitcoin is the big question.
For bitcoin to get that big we need more users and more shops that go into sea with bitcoin else we wont make it.

Though paper money and out of date, but they will still enjoy a long time. Some people just are not ready to part with them and trust all e-cards

If government bans it in your country you wont even be able to use it underground, as no one will have any hopes of having it being used in real world nor there will be any adoptions which are really important for the growth of bitcoin.

Banning it would be still useless because   as we all know  every country  has its own  law and  perception about  bitcoin thats  why we cant really dictate    things with this matter.  It  would  be possibly ban  by government  but  only a few i guess.  the future  of  paper money  would still remains and  its  unbreakable even how bitcoin would progress on the future.
I also believe that paper money will still be in use for a long time. It's a habit, moral people need.

Nope the government have all the authority and the option, the people will have two choice if this government decided to ban bitcoin either follow ot move somewhere else.  And i don't think banning bitcoin will result in a civil war.  Idea of Bitcoin is not natonalistic enough to fight or die for it.

In the civilised world, there is no reason to ban the bitcoin. It is a legal property, just like gold or copper.
