I don't think so that paper money will be replaced by digital currency. Paper money is use in daily transactions offline and digital currency is for online of course so they have their own different functions. We know that cryptocurrency is not yet fully accepted in some countries so they don't have any other choices but to stick and still choose the usual and common way.

you can't imagine the world without paper money, it is impossible to ban paper money for ever. do you know how many people are using plastic money and card?
I think this number is very small in comparison to the whole population. and virtual currency also being used by the small number of people. most of the people are feeling comfortable to keep or use paper money still now. regarding paper money, only security is the problem in order to carry out, but for me, still, there is nothing to be a replacement for paper money. so it will last for ever.
Most money now is in electronic form than in cash form about 7% of all the money of the world is in the form of cash the rest are just a bunch of numbers on the databases of banks and governments so I think we are closer to the elimination of cash as a form of money than what you imagine.
The form of money is slowly evolving and it is from being a physical cash to a virtual cash like paypal or mobile wallet and i think that in the near future we can see bitcoins or other form of cryptocurrencies that are being used in different transactions like paying things up and get different services with just the use of cryptocurrency.
This is why bitcoin has such a bright future, bitcoin does not need to create the demand for online payments the demand is already there many people in the first world already know how to send payments online so the only thing bitcoin needs to do is to convince people to use it.

One might believe that bitcoin will have a strong future, this is normal, but when you say paper money will be replaced by bitcoin, this is just not meaningful. Paper money will survive till the end of the world.

I believe that fiat currency will last forever but paper money will be replaced by digital currency issued by governments. This is the future.

Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

For the first questions i do not think that paper money will be banned since people in general would like to touch and feel their money.

 For the second question
I think this will not happen but surely digital currency will be more popular.

That is the one of the reason why Bitcoin is popular compared to other coins since it is self regulating and for mw unhackable.

They will interact online like what we do now with our coins.

the future of paper money will continue to generation to generation and  i think it will last forever. we are already used on using paper money even kids are used to it and i like counting paper money especially thousands of it. if we use credit cards in my own opinion people will be more buried in debt because their are lots of people who are not paying their debt.

Paper money will become less popular in the world because of alternative digital currencies there will less cash than cashless society. Earlier all the countries transactions involved cash but now Switzerland, Singapore, Sweden, Denmark, France, Netherlands are the countries which does not rely on paper cash. No matter what happens even if the paper money is least popular there is always a connection between paper money and normal people. The world is moving to be a digitized planet where every thing is available in a simple click.

Paper money have not that bad future and that is because there are now here still a lot of people that dont even know about Bitcoin and that is why they are using still their paper money as their payment method. And of course you can see that people is going to use Bitcoin more and that it also becomes more popular but it wont replace it.

You are very much right. I think exactly the same. There is hardly any chance that we will be able to see a cashless society. I think both are equally important and have their own audience. Yes this might be possible that we can expect to have little less use of paper money in near future but it cannot be vanished from the society.

I think for a very long time will be in use this paper money. But the process of cryptocurrencies is already gone, so on par with paper, there will be such money.

Paper cash utilised to be required to have all around to do your every day enterprise close to city but nowadays folks choose to use credit rating and debit cards to shop all around. In Scandinavia Norway, Sweden and Denmark are preparing to be the first 'cashless' societies exactly where all of the transactions will be done electronically. This will increase the safety of your resources and there will be considerably less opportunity of obtaining robbed on the road

I like paper money. I like to feel the buying power in my hands :p Bitcoin makes me feel like a robot. I am not saying paper money is better tho.
Yes I like it more to feel the money in my hand especially a high amount of it. But without bitcoin I doesnt have those money so I was thankful to bitcoin because he gives money to me. The future of paper money will still remain I think even though bitcoin becoming popular now it can defeat paper money because it is legalized by the government. We dont need to compare whose better in the two becauae they are both money which we used to buy things that we want in our life.

Paper money will not entirel die buh gradually it will be wiped out of the system Paperless system will take over and crypto is here to stay
It is right now that the bitcoin currency is getting more and more popular now and the bitcoin is increasing in price as well! It is the time to make it strong. The fiat currency is famous but bitcoin is more easy and profitable than the crypto currency so it is sure that the bitcoin currency is more powerful than the fiat money.
A profitable currency does not mean it is powerful currency, as it can simply be translated that the currency is a volatile currency which is really not a good thing if you will use it in your daily transactions. A powerful currency just like what investors and banks look at it is a currency in which if they bought it now they will see it having a stable growth even in the future. Looking Bitcoin right now I always think that its volatility always translated to a short time holding of the currency which is true as many people take advantage of its movement.

As it was with gold and silver, once we'll reach a tripping point, there will be no need for cash. It's already much more convenient to make purchases with credit cards.

Paper money will always be the first choice of people. Dreaming about having a cashless society is way too far from coming true. The world of cryptocurrency is complicated for some people. I mean why would he bother himself to learn about cryptocurrency and transfers while you can do the same thing with the real money. If we hope to have cashless society in the future, we have to start thinking about ways to teach the coming generations from young age to grow old with it, but, the world is really busy with other things now like wars and nature disasters.

Paper money will still be use worldwide, though some of them may lost its value but not all people ca access to cryptocurrency due to its technological advancement. Some people do not know how to use phones and computers and cannot afford to buy smartphones.
You may be right. I think it is very much difficult to see the end of paper money. Paper money has no doubt its own value and it might happen that there is little decrease in the graph of the ones who are using paper money. But this is nearly impossible to see cashless society even in the next 30 years.

Paper money will be there even if bitcoin is well known at for a very long time. People won't just adopt the use of bitcoin except there are legislations mandating the payments of certain bills by bitcoin and gradually, it could start that way.

well it is impossible to be ban the paper money because it has so many use in this country using bitcoin is more risky in using it as currency because there are so many things that bitcoin encounter. problems in transactions like that. so the future of the paper money is still the same bright.
The price and the importance of the bitcoin is increasing and according to me if the bitcoin or the digital currency will become more famous in this era then the paper money will become the part of the history in different countries. For me it is more easy to use the digital current than using the paper money because it is getting more space and easy to pay even staying at home sp I think the coming time is the time of the digital currency.

Even if Paper money does vanishes or becomes history, it will be after atleast a century, because digitization monetarily requires educating the users, which will take quite a long time. And moreover digital fiat currency is going to still exist, Bitcoin might be used, but it cannot overcome fiat. Paying with fiat with digital mode is much faster and hassle free than Bitcoin, but yes Bitcoin has freedom.
