The general condition of this forum seems quite BAD.  Is it nothing but hawks and scammers in here? I see NOTHING that leads me to believe otherwise.

Apparently with the market being on its ass... the sane experienced people don't even bother coming in here?

It's looking like the crypto community would be better off WITHOUT this forum.

It's quite pathetic honestly.
What a sad story you have here after all the rich resourceful material on this forum you say it the worst, are you obsessed about the forum entirely or you are obsessed about the rule cause your point is not clear to me. hoping that you ever come back and answer my questions.

This is a forum about money, specifically an irreversible money, so of course there's going to be scammers here. Bitcoin is a paradise for them. The forum is far from perfect but if people don't like it they can vote with their feet and leave.

Meta should be hide from newbie. Theymos should create a new Child Board for "Account Recover & Ban Appeal". Seems lots of spam post on Meta lately. Or should at least require activity like more then 250 activity can post on meta. I know it has been suggested multiple times but really need it. Few important post and discussion going lower due to newbie spamming. I am wondering Meta might be become like Bitcoin Discussion board after few days.

But often Newbies are those who need to get answers and if they're about the forum then they belong here.

I’ve recently seen a similar case of lashing out on my local forum, where the forum member did not receive any support nor founding for his project. Having received a couple of sceptical questions concerning his project on his thread, he then went into a hell storm, and promised to come back to the forum when his project made it to the top (utopically), and reproach the forum member’s attitude for not giving support to his broken dream.

Anyway, better to have people growl, grumble, grunt and yell than easily take people´s crypto to sponsor some nonsensical ICO.

depending on which part of the forum you frequently watch and participate in, you may be right.

if you are hanging around the alt board reading about new shitcoin ICO every 5 seconds where you get a dozen of people shilling it then yes it is indeed a fucked up situation, and this is where most newbies go to , because everyone wants a Lambo next year .

so honestly when you stick your head in the toilet you do not expect to smell lavender, unless something is wrong with your brain.

now if you come to meta to enjoy seeing new improvements or people fighting over the silliest things , sitting there scrolling through the posts while on the sofa with a large bowl of popcorn is free-fun. or maybe I am mental ! Grin

all the shit aside, if you go to the technical serious boards such as Mining or development & technical Discussion , you will be surprised that even the newbies there could be far more informative and knowledgeable than many high rank members on the alt section.

It's looking like the crypto community would be better off WITHOUT this forum.
How possible can this be,this is where one gets the requisite knowledge and information to get started in the cryptocurrency network.
And that's for newbies who really want to put their heads down and learn in here,i doubt you're one of such newbies

Anyways if you feel you're losing more than you're gaining in here, the doors are always open for people to leave, just never login again, and that's all

Wrong Wrong Wrong.

The only way this would make sense is if we changed it to talk about you.

It's looking like the crypto community would be better off WITHOUT BATM. maybe your mother should of swallowed you instead of letting your dads pencil dick spunk in her?

Read OP's post history. He posted 2 weeks ago about his ICO that he is launching himself - he specifically says that it will have no whitepaper, done as cheaply as possible, and he will not be hiring any professional team members to help him. He is then completely vague about what is coin will actually do or achieve, other than to promise it totally has a "real world use". Having received no replies about his obviously in-no-way-new-or-different-to-the-hundreds-of-other-coins coin, he decides it is the forums fault rather than his.

the sane experienced people don't even bother coming in here?

The sane, experienced people are very much here, and very much avoiding yet another trash token.

Nah, the forum isn't that bad.  What I'm wondering is whose alt you are and why you thought it necessary to make this thread--I seriously doubt you're a newbie if you've figured out how many problems the forum has, even though most of them are glaringly obvious.

A lot of members are trying their best to bring about some positive changes here, but the forum isn't a democracy.  The admins decide what changes get made, and to what extent they listen to the average member's suggestions is anybody's guess.

As others have said, if your point is to just say the forum is pathetic and sucks, then nobody is forcing you to be here.  If you have no hope that things are going to get better, maybe it's for the best if you left bitcointalk for the time being.  Check back in a year or so from now to see if any improvements have been made.  Do us all a favor, though, and don't spread pure negativity without any intention of helping things.  Most of the senior members know how bad it is, but it doesn't do any good to just say things suck and leave it at that.

Edit:
Good luck- an admin can please delete my account.  This place is trash.
K, bye.

We are into the festive season, and that may be more significant than the drop in the price of Bitcoin and other cryptos. It took me an hour to drive out of a shopping mall today because of the traffic, so people may not have so much time to spend on posting frivolities.

No, this great thanks.  You made my point exactly- no one has anything constructive to say about posts, unless those posts are scammy in nature or attack the credibility of the forum.  These replies being made are the epitome of what I speak- you don't get involved unless it's to trash something, or defend this useless forum.  Good luck- an admin can please delete my account.  This place is trash.

Very funny, he is showing his stupidity. he should give intelligent criticism and focus on problems. This forum has helped millions of people get to know bitcoin and I believe in moderators, they have a great capacity to destroy various attacks on this forum.

Op has only posted 3 times, he started 3 threads which one of the posts he considered the thoughts of trolls, surprising he now finds this board not valuable.
Maybe because no one give feedback about his LOW COST offerings- utility token thread. I tell you what, do as you wish. If you have a crappy project to which you would knew it yourself if you have a crappy project so analyze it before offering anything. The forum is where you can find the most helpful comments, you just have to dig.

This feels like a harsh assessment. Let's put thes grips into perspective...

(1) The market is down, which keeps people from being chatty

(2) It's the holiday season in most Countries in the world, which keeps people a bit busy and off their computers

(3) If you're looking for scammer and bullshit posts (because you have a hunch about something) that's all you're going to see

(4) If it bothers you, hide/remove from view the members that are leaving shit posts. It'll instantly remove all that you believe is clutter.

Of course, we can put it in perspective, now with the desperation of the market and the FUD that is running, it is an opportune time for many scammers to deceive desperate people, also takes into account that many experts are on vacation right now, I spend a couple of times when I have time, but usually I'm also a little detached from the cryptos for the moment.

This forum used to be a home for many Bitcoin lovers and it still is (will be, forever, actually). About scammers, you've got escrows for almost every kinda deal you've got to do, so it's your choice to save a penny and lose everything or pay a few extra bucks and secure everything.

So, you think that when the markets were having those greeny days, then only we had a few ^sane^ people over here? Well then, what kind of sanity did you witness during those days and you're not seeing currently?

Well, once again, your choice and if you believe you're not good and/or safe here, you should straight away leave. Tongue

Well, can't say about the whole forum but you're being one already. Wink
