It's not just Google. Even the other search engines bring up the fake reviews on top. Perhaps 1xbit invested a lot of resource to make sure their scam stays a float.

with a good SEO campaign, it is possible to bypass the veracity of the article from any reviews. this is very clearly seen in the example of Chipmixer, where scammers and impersonators on better positions than the official website.
I wouldn't be surprised if 1xbit financially pushed these reviews.

I sincerely doubt that this happened by itself, so it is logical to conclude that this company has enough knowledge or money to position itself at the top of the search results with positive reviews and comments. I am not an expert in these matters, but it seems that it is not difficult to convince Google that bad is good, if we take for example the CM site where someone pushed the phishing site to the top of the search, and threw the legitimate website a few places back.

I'm not defending cryptomaniaks.com/ but they seem to be fair from their review of 1XBIT
https://cryptomaniaks.com/1xbit-review and Trustpilot are also in the process of correcting those good reviews but unfortunately, they are everywhere I've seen them on many Crypto-related sites, it's their advertisement on major advertising sites that lure people to play here.
We should continue what we're doing on promoting 1XBIT as a scam casino and encourage those who got scammed to continue reporting if we can save some people it will still make a big difference.

If you search on Google for "1XBit Review" this is the first thing you see:

And Google should be careful about doing what they're doing
the one to blame here are sites that give them fake reviews and fake testimonials, they are the one manipulating the search results.
Depending on "a few things", each user tends to get different results on Google, so I think we should also blame their hosting provider [internet.bs] for allowing such platforms to continue their operation for a very long time [considering that it has scammed a lot of users, I'm sure some of them have already sent reports to its hosting provider]!

Code:

I wonder what they deem as a fake review.
~Snipped~
I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing with trust pilot.
They can't disclose everything for obvious reasons, but they did mention one of the things their "fraud detection software" checks is IP addresses and there's also a team of "analysts" involved.
- More information.

It’s shocking but what shocked me more that many gamblers in my country play with 1xbit. I'm not vouching for them. I know how they operate their shit. Many players here join 1xbit from the very beginning of their gambling days and play with them. I can't make them understand how shady 1xbit is lol.

I'm not surprised at all they are paying generously to their signature campaign participants because they have a source of funds for new players and money keeps coming in because they manipulated the search engine by paying these high-ranked sites to give them good reviews, Google is not at fault here they just index information and that's their main purpose, the one to blame here are sites that give them fake reviews and fake testimonials, they are the one manipulating the search results.

And Google should be careful about doing what they're doing not only with 1XBit but with other results as well - this could open the door to the fall of that giant company - you simply don't do such things as this will open the door for many lawsuits against Google for misleading information etc.

It's not Google's fault they are just a search ranking site it will come out whatever you want it to bring based on your choice of keywords, if only people will use the right keywords when checking a casino or any site they will see the real status of 1XBIT.

I do not know google is careful on any scam site or not. But regarding 1xbit it is showing perfect result. The result showing base on the review of 1xbit not for other gambling sites. And if you open first result then it will show you that they have received 5.8* out of 10* That doesn't a good site. I think it means a bad site. From that page if you click on recommended page then it will redirect to the good sites and there has no space for 1xbit. So, I don't think there is anything which can make you shocking.

This thread is the exact reason why you never trust any kind of review websites for anything. Especially not for crypto or online gambling websites. People used to look on review sites for ICOs, and then lose all their money on scams and rug pulls. So what did we learn?

These review websites have a business model, which is to positively review ANYTHING as long as they are paid enough money.

This is not how you should be doing your research on whether or not a website is legit and upstanding. I think anyone should realise by now what it means to ignore red flags and trust in the greedy.

I wonder what they deem as a fake review. knowing 1xbit and their attempt here in the forum to get good reviews from members by paying them money by running a review campaign, I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing with trust pilot.

It is easy to assume that they are paying for positive reviews. Participants in their signature campaign in this forum are blindly defending 1xbit, and from this it can be understood that spending money in their campaign is not a loss for them. 1xbit marketing is spending a lot of money, and the result is that these kinds of fake positive reviews are available online. These reviews are very dangerous for new and inexperienced players who would be interested in joining a website full of scam reports.

So many 5 star reviews are being posted there (they are probably fake).

No wonder people fall into their scam.

This thread was posted due to seeing so many complaints against 1XBit, and it seems like they don't stop coming in.

They have the money and the means to influence people to give fake reviews and testimonials, they have a huge budget as we can see here in Bitcointalk they can run two to three signature campaigns at the same time, there was a time all I see are 1XBIT banners on every posts and thread here.

Google just index articles and post by high-ranking article site and review sites and so are the fake and good reviews it's up to people to do their research and use the right combination of keywords.

No worries about that, Google covered their ass in TOS so they are not responsible for any losses, either via Google ads or even fake apps on Google Play. After all, Google is just a search engine.

What I do when researching on a any project is to add ...scam at the end. So rather than searching for '1xbit review', I'll search for '1xbit scam'. I do this cause I'm specifically looking for scam accusations against them and study those, rather than positive reviews which could be motivated financially.
That's standard approach of anyone that is a little bit longer in crypto/generally using online services, but unfortunately that's not how majority of people operate. They tend to trust everyone and only after they get scammed by 1xbit they put into google "1xbit scam" which brings them here.

They are definitely paying majority of positive reviews, but some of them are legit as you simply can't scam your users 100% of the time and run for longer period. 1xbit is probably playing the long game and scamming selectively in order to keep getting constant influx of new people.

That's the point, members here constantly remind the community about the bad behavior of the 1XBit gambling site team, no wonder, every day victims are always there if they bet on the 1XBit site, due to such reviews.

I often see victims of most 'beginner' 1XBit sites because they see five star reviews first, without visiting the reviews on Bitcointalk first, maybe if they visit here for the first time, I'm sure at least the victims will be reduced, they will be spared and play gambling, deposit on the 1XBit site.

Lazy to find additional information, regarding the reputation of gambling sites, can make someone trapped in a circle of fraud.

No Platforms cares about it. Don't worry. You cannot do anything against those scammers because they have Money. As we know, Money = Power. It's been a couple of years now. People were screaming here and there, and nothing changed. I lose hope. At least the forum can start to moderate scams. That's what I would do.

I'm not so sure I agree with that.  First of all, Google is a shit search engine and has evolved into nothing more than a vehicle to sell stuff to you based on their algorithms--but I don't like the idea of a search engine acting as a gatekeeper, filtering out things they think people shouldn't see (though I'm pretty sure that's what they're already doing on a massive scale).

And the fact that some shady crypto casino comes up in their search results isn't ever going to bring down a company with as much power as Google.  That's just never going to happen.

As an aside, the same argument could be made about bitcointalk and what it allows here.  Scams aren't moderated, you know.

We should not believe or trust google in anything, they are more after money than anything other thing.
So true.  Their motto was (or still is) "Don't be Evil", but my oh my how that company got corrupted by the cash that started rolling in, and the power they accumulated over time by making their way into everyone's life somehow.  I don't think anything short of a major scandal or people taking of the blinders is going to lessen their influence.  One can only hope.

I guess that Google knows all this and also knows what holes of legislation to use in their favor. I am almost sure that they have something in their ToS that you have to be careful what you click and what you do with your money.

However, good find. It looks like that unless one ends up here first on bitcointalk, he has very good chance to get scammed.  Angry

With enough money in advertising and promotion it's very possible for any company, regardless of how fraudulent, to rinse its public reputation and appear trustworthy.

Bitcointalk also appears on the search results page for 1xbit scam.

According to what I saw on Trustpilot:

The reviews have 4.0 score out of 5.0. As for me, if I check a site and I saw any bad review, I checked the bad review specifically, on the bad review, they were more about users that are unable to withdraw from the gambling site, that alone will not make me use 1xbit.

Definitely, the good ones of the reviews are fake.
