It's probably already been suggested but in regards to a discussion about this bitcoin forum, it would be cool to have a "like" button per-post rather than replying to a post to simply say I like what you said.  I don't think it should be used as any sort of ranking or to serve as a valuable/farmable commodity of how many "likes" any post gets... just mean it as a way to cut down on the unnecessaries. 


Yeah. So people won't clutter the thread with "+1" and stuff like that.

The idea has been proposed and shot down in the past, people that get too caught up on whether their posts will be popular or unpopular end up censoring themselves.

Why is that?

It would just be a simple mod that I am sure there are hundreds of for SMF boards.  I think we should just give it a go for a month as it would be free and I don't see any major harm it could do.
