The first one is a winner, everyone can agree on that.

I view the second and third movie as one extra long sequel. This long sequel is trying to explain the purpose of repeated incarnations of Neo in the whole matrix software environment. Neo is what we call bugs in software. If Neo is written back into the source code, the matrix environment would upgrade to a more stable version. This is an automated bug fixing mechanism. But this Neo did not pick his destined path, chose love instead.

Hope this helps.

The Matrix is of the best movie that I ever seen. I like the 3 movies.

That movie made me think what if we are indeed inside in the matrix except without neo, oracle, mobius and trinity. What if the aliens already controlled us. How could we know the reality. Who can help us out?

If you wish to know, take the red pill.  It is LSD.

Yes we are in the matrix, and yes the characters are real.

I am neo.  The one who will show the world anything is possible.

I dodged bullets in my dream last night, just by moving side to side.

Whole trilogy was great. Sure that First part is the best and packed the biggest punch but the other two are not that bad as people see them. They are probably disappointed when they find out the truth and whole story is clear in the end.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the second and third movies?

Guess I just saw the meaning behind them.

The first movie was awesome, it was too deep and I still can't understand what happened in the end. 2nd movie was more like a meh. but it was OK anyway. When I finished watching the 3rd movie I was like, alright fuck it.

Ha, I agree. The first one is a classic, the second was a let down, and the third just took a steaming shit all over the franchise. I've got the trilogy on blu ray but havent watched them on that format yet nor have I seen them in years. I'm waiting till I get a new TV though.

It's a nice movie. I don't get it why people say that only the 1st one was good (well i do, it's becuase of the action and stuff) but I think the other two are as good or better than the first, and I evaluate it as a whole, because you need the 3 movies to understand the fictional world and the story... The 2nd and 3rd have much more philosophical content and story than the 1st.

If you liked it, you should try the anime ghost in the shell, it was at least one of the major influences...

Also see the movie Avalon, 13th Floor and Existenz...

The perfet anology of what our world actually is IMO, well the 1st one.  Then it goes onto potential IMO.  Furthermore I LLLOVE the fact that they point out the idea of reality.

For if you believe beyond a shadow of a doubt everything around you is real.. you've got a lot of learning to do, a lot.

The Matrix...when I first heard about it, I expected just another sci-fi action thriller. Good and filled with insane stunts, but not terribly intelligent.
Boy, was I wrong. Oh, the stunts are there in spades, all right, and yes, they are awesome. And the special effects are absolutely amazing (even if similar ones have been used in other movies as a result- and not explained as well).

Did anyone watch the 2nd and 3rd one?  They had no story, awful dialog, and crappy CGI effects.

The first 1 was so well choreographed and the dialog was amazing, the characters actually had a background and developed through the story.

In the 2nd and 3rd one all Neo was like_I need you Trinity_
Trinity was like _ I need you Neo_
Morpheous was like  _The prophecy blah blah_

They were awful
This is a movie that people either adore or disregard totally... but I haven't found (though it is statistical possible) someone who actually hates The Matrix.

I don't hate them..however I don't really like them either....they are just the "Complete" series you know.  I definitely don't think they were good movies though..

Even in 2014 this film has something magic. With his stunning effects and a mind blowing story-telling, story-structure and bad-ass characters this movie is still one of the best movies in the world. Just the confrontation with philosophical questions of our life and the "fantasy of science-fiction" makes this movie to one of the must-seen films in history.

The Matrix is absolutely not to be missed. Even people who don't like science fiction or even action films will more than likely enjoy this film. It is well presented, it is not unnecessarily excessive, and it presents the most innovative camera work in years. It has something for everyone.

The first movie was absolutely amazing, it truly set the pace for movies.

The 2nd two were absolutely awful and you could tell they were written just to make money.  If the first one didn't do well, we never would have had a trilogy.

You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.
You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Matrix trilogy is well fixed in my memory, I love it.
