Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
I just want to be on record in stating that I'm personally going to be donating a whole lot more, but at [1] at a time to act as bumps when needed as this journey continues.

Quick aside: I called about obtaining another warehouse today, and the guy was describing to me what'll be available in a few days. I said to him that it sounded like Joe's unit, whereupon he asked me if I knew Joe. Then he informed me that Joe was recently killed in an auto accident. I've supplied a many wood to Joe, and now it looks like I'm going to be leasing his old shop of which I've always wanted. Life is so odd, don't you think?

I see what you were trying to do there, but you blew right past it. I believe you missed the 25 count added to the 810, thus only needing 165 to reach the target. I'm adding your 190 to Post #2, unless I did the maths incorrectly.

That said, you da man!

Wish I had more but I've just gotten started.

Thanks, Frank. And your 1 brings the total to...

[1,026] people fed!

And for Jason in the morning...

Now, this is getting outta hand! It was almost 21 hours ago that this thread started and look where it's at now. BTW, thanks, glitch, for your more than kind donation.

I'm not sure if anybody realizes it or not, but some of the donations came from other countries, namely Germany (I believe), so that people in Florida could eat.

Only 165 (X $1.25) to go to reach 1000, but who's counting?

BTW, Jason King didn't have a clue that I had this up my sleeve.

That is not a joke. This was a complete surprise.

I am so humbled by this community. You all are amazing. Thank you so much.

I'm putting you down for 12, but please correct me if my maths is mistaken. If correct, your donation makes the current grand total 800 people fed. Thanks again, knight.

After I get my expenses and etc paid for for my hosting, I think I will donate  a btc or 2 a month to this Smiley

It'll truly be appreciated when you get around to it, bud.

And 10 it is, bringing the tally to...

[810] people fed!

I will NOT try to have this hit 1000 within 24 hours, for you guys have already done more than was even dreamt of.

BTW, Jason King didn't have a clue that I had this up my sleeve.

Via a PM, the following transaction: http://blockchain.info/tx-index/aa246e3775a8d3d1500420ffed9c739a7f26a34d1c1d7bc66c8b6c9c65828c6c

Don't know why the person opted to do it this way oppose to on this thread, but will respect their anonymity. This equates to feeding 50 people.

I can see the appeal.  Sometimes you want to be anonymous because it is about the work being done, not about the giver.

Nice link. Thanks, bud.

In my mind, I was hoping for only 20-30 at most within the first 24 hours, but now it's not outside the realm of possibility to see 1000.

If I did the math correct, this transaction equates to feeding 15 people. Somebody correct me if I'm in error, for that's what I'm putting in Post #2.

Thanks so kindly, bud.

When I started this thread, I only envisioned a slew of $1.25 donations with possibly a small handful give more. As seen in Post #2 of this thread, but the reverse is happening. You people are so weird, but in a good way.
