If you wanna find a good altcoin to invest, I will suggest you IOTA. This coin had a great performance in 2017. It also has a great platform - Tangle which can solve the problem of Bitcoin weaknesses. So, It certain has a bright futue
I mostly invest in privacy coins. With Monero finally mooning my next big expectation is on a quiet crypto called Spectrecoin (XSPEC). I've been following their slack channel for a while. The community is great. They work together on projects for the coin while the devs bang out code. There is a new update scheduled and if it delivers what is proposed and they can finally begin marketing then it will x10 EAASY.
What do you think about XZC (ZCOIN)?
Zcoin is just one of the most promising anonymous altcoin!
For me Zcoin and Zencash then. It's two there will go very far. The rest, a lot of shitcoin without any cryptographic skill. and without vision!

Since it is only gambling to chose the next x1000 coin and even to predict the next x100 coin is very hard to impossible, let's be a bit more realistic and pick the most promising coins that will at least x10(or more 
) in 2018. I mean such an investment will go from $100 to $1000 and is still a very good investment. And it should not be impossible to predict with a good fundamental analysis.
My favorites for 2018 that should at least x10 are:
1. Ardor, because it is the successor of the NXT token and has the same team behind it but offers much more functions. With its main chain, it offers the option to create new coins with an own sub chain under Ardor and the Ardor holders will profit from it. Ardor will start soon and hopefully be even more successful than NXT.
2. Verge: It is a stealth coin like Monero but still very undervalued (low market cap).The developers are active and the community is very positive about this project. Some more exchanges started to trade Verge recently.
3. Electroneum: This is a bit risky because it's still an ICO but looks very promising. They develop mobile apps and you can mine this coin via the mobile app.

Personally, i think Rise has a potential although lisk and rise have similarities but I still go for rise.. I like the platform and base on my research, all in all RISE is great!!! ) in 2018. I think litecoin in 2018 will follow the path of bitcoin, a few days ago it was 100 dollar, now it is 150 dollar, i would not be suprised at all if it was close to 1000 dollar by end of 2018.
SpectreCoin looks great.

Only a few people expect ethereum or litecoin to pass $1,00 limit, yet they will be able to manage this in 2018. Their working conditions is really promising and more people hear about them each day.

I think Lux will be a x 10 coin
In my opinion Ethereum will be one of the best coins whose achieve 10x growth but we will be must wait to end 2018
I would not be surprised if Ark reached 10usd in the first quarter of 2018, Ark is very promising, it has a lot of features but its SmartBridge technology will be the reason why Ark will succeed in the future. It will connect the entire ecosystem of blockchains. Although I believe in Crypto's potential for Ark, I will not put all my investment in one basket. I invested my money in several coins, including Ethereum, Neo, Wave and Lisk.
Seems like Stellar Lumens is doing very well past few days.. from $0.08 to $0.14 It's a platform that i can see some great potential in. Maybe even more so than Simple Token.
