I have tried talking to project owner and he's made his point clear that he will not continue project.
Nugget will be relaunched and bounties will be repayed from scratch.
I apologize to miners for wasting energy wish i could do something about it but lets start it over.
To all community membersm, appreciate your inputs and support for nugget and hope you'll continue to support the project to the point where it will be counted as one of the top projects in crypto.
Will be providing roadmap in short time at relaunch.
Thanks once agian.

Great to hear that, but please launch public testnet before relaunch (just to make sure there is no "oops" in the code) Smiley

Project owner decided to abondon project because he did not hear from me in 12hrs, for the very first time and calls project as failed  Shocked.
He disregards the fact that i spent many hours working on this and infact, it's the tiredness that made me forget to remove testcodes lines which i did quickly when i realised it but then again, that information was not updated in OP.

I have put all nodes down while i test PoS to be sure problem is well taken care off.
I'm still waiting for owner to respond to my messages on skype and if he doesn't by tomorrow same time, then it's obvious he has no interest in the project anymore, i'll invite a competent project manager, provide a new source repo and relaunch.

Stop wasting energy on trying to convince "project owner" to your point of view. You made the code, You implemented changes, You created "interesting PoS reward system", You can fix it and take it over or relaunch. If it's not worth the effort, leave it and start other project, simple as that, mistakes happen, no hard feelings,. Good luck.

Ocminer not all projects starts at home. The fact that he has not started nugget does not mean that a bad project.

Run the project again from Zero - it means exactly to lose many miners and traders.

Optimally, it would be -
Tested and weed pos blocks from the existing chain at 5000 or 10000 blocks (for example)
Recheck the work of the POS. Enable POS after 5000 -10000 units - in order not to rob the miners.
Continue work.

You will be able to do?

Sorry for the bad English. Not my native language (((

In crucial moments the developer was missing and was not responding.

To address the post from the developer:

This project has gotten out of hand and coming in to save everyone wont make much of a difference.

The real backers of this project left or has atleast expressed their dissatisfaction with the whole project. Even being so ignorant to ask for compensation in Bitcoin.

This Project would have been good, but such a messy launch will make exchanges and pool owners exclude a currency like this.

Even OCminer did not want to host a pool for this project.

And saying you put out a fix that I neglected to publish is false information as I provided the new update 4 hours before PoS went crazy.

OP logged in and out again without making a comment, not looking good.

excuse my ignorance, but what does it mean OP?

OP means Original Post, or Original Poster.

And here to the announcement.

The developer of this coin sadly made a mistake that ruined the PoS system.
The damage caused by first having multiple chains (Which we fixed, the community) was reduced.
But the issue with PoS is not something that can pass on.

The project is no longer going to continue as the trust between the users and the administration is lacking.

Stop your miners, delete the wallets, its over.

I am sorry for the people who spent money on hashrate to mine this currency.

Good luck everyone, I hope you all hit the next big currency Smiley

Hello Nugget community!
I am the dev for Nugget which sadly owner decided to abandone because he think the project is a failure.

1. The initial project was based on qubit which was ready some days ago awaiting launch date and we had to do an emergency switch to a Nist5 algorithm withing some few hours. As with every new modification in codes, there are likely to be unforseen certainties/circumstances in behaviour or outputs.

2. The launch was met with some issues because
a). others found the source code early and started mining.
b). the PoS code for testing was not properly removed and is available in this commit https://github.com/hamuki/nugget/commit/19c518d1fe7b89461dc3f4e475ac7dd8c1d975da.
c). Some Miners where still on the old chain which contained old PoS rules and we had just one node running so I had to put up a second node to support which was not part of the deal.

2. This is not the first project that had not worked well from launch. Even some projects that had raised a lot of money during ICOs have failed on launch and had to postpone launch date to correct what ever problems that existed.

Nugget could have just relaunched easily on a clean chain without forks and there will be no issues.

Poor little Nuggets  Cry

Well no hard feelings even though I wasted some electricity mining. At least I learned a lot about solo mining, getting off a fork and things like that.
I just feel bad for the dev's wasted efforts and time. He was always helpful, so thank you dev even though this one didn't work quite as expected!

Plenty of time available to fix the issue. Reconsider your decision. Hire new dev. There are plenty of devs here. Put a bounty in the services section. I think the issue can be resolved in a day or two. Don't give up. Or let the community to take over.

The community is more than welcome to take over the project.

That's a good decision. Be patient. Many interested people will come and talk here.

I supported the project in to Twitter from the beginning. I have completed a specific job and can take a compensation in another cryptocurrency, such as BTC.

Wait what?

Compensation for what?

max supply to hundreds of millions, I think Premine 11 million was not well distributed

I dont know if you figured.. But the Premine was only intended for bounties and give-aways.

That means the premine did not belong to me.

So if you want some worthless coins, then sure.. Post your address..

But compensation in BTC because you feel entitled to get something back from a project that you chose yourself to participate in is the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time.
