Don't think any of Andreesen's investments lied, delayed, scammed or stole Bitcoins (or fiat) from any of it's user/customer base
That's the major difference.

Nothing to coment on Marc Andreessen specifically.  My objection was about the implication "he defends bitcoin, therefore he is a good guy".

Marc [ Andreesen ]seems to come to Bitcoin's defense alot and take aim at any investors or firms that threaten Bitcoin's livelihood:

Wait, all the fellows in the Bad Guys list did that.  Even Mark Karpelès.

That is one of the things that attract so many scammers to bitcoin.  Many bitcoiners seem to assume that "those that say bad things about bitcoin are bad guys, therefore anyone who praises bitcoin must be a good guy."  And they give him their coins, without even asking his real name.

Not everyone who praises Jesus is a honest Christian. Not everyone who praises bitcoin is a honest bitcoiner.

What about Marc Andreesen of Andreesen-Horowitz?  He's heavily invested in Coinbase:

Marc Andreesen seems a good bet as any on to be on the good guy list.

Sans dwelling on affiliations, nor aware of nefarious activities, I guess being on the fence ain't an option, hence going with your recommendation for the time being. Thanks, bud, for your input.

Does Andreas M. Antonopoulos have a website that hawks a bitcoin-accepting service or product so that I can include it on the good guys list?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but he does have a Donation address on it, so I guess it's as good as any:

http://antonopoulos.com/

He also is the lead host on Let's Talk Bitcoin!:

http://letstalkbitcoin.com/shows

Any good guy list when it comes to Crypto, must begin and end with Andreas!   Grin

That and Satoshi...or is Andreas, Satoshi, or Satoshi, Andreas....mind blown!   Shocked

That'll work, bud. I've added Andreas, Rassah's real name, and Let's Talk Bitcoin.

Can't add Satoshi because we don't know who he is, or if he can be trusted.  Roll Eyes

Amir Taaki and his darkwallet? good fella i believe.

I'm firmly on the fence in regard to Amir for the time being. I opted to add him to the watch list which is neither a good thing nor a bad thing.

But, your post reminded me to add Max Keiser and Sean's Outpost.

What about that realsolid guy who runs mcxnow, very very shady.  Basically had people invest in the platform and then shortly after said the platform was going to be taken down for a few months.  The share price dropped and he reopened.  I guess its not "illegal" but he is not trustworthy.

Again, please suggest what other entities you deem warrants inclusion, including why and a link.

Coinapult was founded by Erik Voorhees; the site provides vital hedging services to non-US bitcoiners, services that bitcoiners can count on!

Seems legit for inclusion on the good guys list. Thanks, bud.

they represent a combine total in excess of a quarter billion dollars of loses to mostly working folks that were once willing to give them an opportunity to succeed, but opted to fill their own coffers instead.

The MtGOX collapse alone ate 660'000 BTC, about 0.2 billion dollars at today's price, 0.5 billion in February.

That means now I have to double the figure I was using in the OP - $250,000,000. ~$.5B USD is virtually a realistic amount stolen to date.

what happened to TBF? or even broke pierce? Grin

Forgive me for holding off for now with your suggestions, for basically the same reason I can't put BitPay on the good guys list until the https://blockchain.info/address/1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs is resolved.

I also can't justifying putting the Jacobson brothers' Canadian Bitcoin Embassy and Miami Bitcoin Embassy on the list, but will be including all their Coinware companies and principals shortly.

With the exception of BitPay, at this speaking, ALL the above will probably be included on the official site to one capacity or another.

Again, with apologies.

no need apologies, i was just curious as to why brock pierce (gocoin, expresscoin et al) and TBF werent on your most wanted wall.

anyhow, you might want to check this list too: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-major-bitcoin-heists-thefts-hacks-scams-and-losses-576337

cheers. Smiley

Thanks for the link, bud. I'll add just the link in the OP for now, gleaning it periodically for entities to include on the master list.

Could you add the founders of KNCminer to your list? You can find their names and LinkedIn profiles at the bottom of this page: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/aboutus

You might also want to consider adding Moolah and/or "Alex Green".

KnC has been updated.

Please provide me a tad of info on Moolah/Alex Green.

I think this should explain most of it: http://www.coindesk.com/mintpal-fight-moolah-ceo-court/

Be sure to read the pastebin from Ferdous Bhai, who is the director of the holding company that owns Mintpal. (http://pastebin.com/vKpnWQcp)

Okay, ern, Ryan Kennedy has been added and linked to the pastebin site. As I've mentioned before, a more detailed assessment will be offered up the official website having adequate SEO in place.

Thanks for the input, bud.

It must be nice to first lie to your customers about a homeless vet to garner sales via your Facebook page, then after getting raided by the #ASKFTC literally now stick it up the FTC and the judge's ass by taking the same image and using it on ones Google+ account.

In essence, John Mutrux is saying. "Fuck you American service men and women, and the horses you rode in on, for I got mine, while you fuckers continue to FIGHT for yours."

Again, well-played, John Mutrux, Jody Drake, and Sonny Vleisides, the latter because it was his iPhone used to take the infamous shot.

I'm going to ask one more motherfuckin' time before I put every cryptocurrency-theme periodical on the The Official Blacklist of Entities Operating in the Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency Space: Where's the motherfuckin' first article on the 1QAHVyRzkmD4j1pU5W89htZ3c6D6E7iWDs BWA that DIDN'T belong to HashTrade, but truly belongs to BFL and was used to launder $10M+ USD worth of BTC through BitPay?

After over a year of me mentioning the above, nary a periodical has mentioned the above FACT, along with NEVER mentioning the fake $100K USD via BTC supposedly paid to The Bitcoin Foundation (TBF) by KnC to become a Platinum Member, of which is 100% BULLSHIT!

Going to catch up on the latest welcomed posts after I calm down and fetch a fresh cup of coffee, thanking the recent posters in advance.

Verified Bernie Bro - Feel The Bern!
What about adding Thomas Van whateverthefuck from the bASIC scam.  I don't think he's around on the cablepair account but still wouldn't hurt to warn folks if he decides to stop by again!

Also why the fuck don't you have Sonny K on the list for BFL??  Roll Eyes

You mean Thomas Van Riper, no?

Ya thanks, couldn't remember for sure and didn't feel like digging it up.
